So far, no evidence have shown that it was Japanese player that orchestrated this incident, and it's not just Block 20 that was hacked, Block 2, 4 and a few other was also.
The people that did the hacking and claim responsibility type in English that is very easy to understand, and stated their reasoning as Sega not fixing/patching mistake they told Sega about, and this incident is a stunt by them to get Sega to address it.

As I understand it, they had most of these 75 players on a list before it all kicked off, and that number is for the entire game, not just Ship 2.

It's only today they brought down the ban hammer.

I imagine that these 75 players had a range of different marks against their names, via player reports and GameGuard, and the call to ban them all today was a bit of a PR stunt to show SEGA are reacting to the hack.

There's no way in hell it took 75 people to do this. It was two dudes. We watched it happen in real time as they talked about it. We've got our account of how it all went down on our site.

Game griefers have been around for a long time. They seem to never go away. It's often just people, with a screw loose, who enjoy doing such things including ban-able offenses. Whether it is games, forums, it's their thing. I remember one day, when I actually seen one of those kind of people happily bragging about their griefing incidents as if that was something to be proud of. It isn't often I almost feel pity for what that person allowed themselves to become. That was one case. It seemed such a waste of intellect.

Still, it would be nice if people actually concentrated on *playing* a game that is out there, instead of constantly going to every game and trying to hack it to do what they want it to do at the expense of others. Phantasy Star seems to always get attacked on that front. The closer they get to griefing another person's account, the better for them. And what makes this especially sad is that it does nothing to help themselves level faster or get anything special through a hack, it only serves to inconvenience others. Nothing but an attacking hack with no benefits to anybody. So yeah, I would say they get downright malicious with an intent only those of certain mindsets see enjoyment in. The worst kind of hackers, IMO.

All hackers I've encountered are English players. They could be Japanese with very good English, who knows. I play with a lot of Japanese players and tend to stay the fuck away from the 19~23 band of blocks thanks to the large amount of incredibly rude people, spammers and the like.

I recognise a few names off this forum that were talking to them on Block 20 last night when I went to check out what the fuss was that the team I'm in was talking about. The guys who were admitting to doing it, whilst sitting outside the window with Echo and Maloo, were speaking fluent English and were apart of the group 'LAWL PSO'.

'LAWL PSO' is a team name I keep running into. These all seem to be English players and a picture I posted in a different topic had one or two members from the group outside the window with characters they moved due to being AFK.

There's no problem with having your theory as it's not an impossible idea that they may be Japanese, but it's pretty naive to say "think about it, why would NA/EU hackers attack NA/EU players" despite this happening numerous times in Phantasy Star.

Look I dont know who you are in game, but I was there when that exact conversation took place, and Zapero was claiming he was doing the hackings.

I dont know if Valhyse did hack or no, he was just cheering him all along, but Zapero did claim he was hacking and Valhyse seemed fine with it, even suggesting attacking other blocks.

Also, he and Sziadan and some other guy were talking about sharing hack tools the other day.

Sega of Japan doesn't visit, or officially recognize PSO-World, that's Sega of America, different entity.

Telling us, whether we believe it or not, will not change anything, and threatening, typing in cap, will also not make any friends.

Sega has every right to ban you whether you intended to carry out the plans or not.

Make no mistake, you are (were) privileged to be playing on the JP servers. They could've put IP bans on foreigners forcing them to wait for international PSO2 where we're supposed to be. Being given the privilege means you need to be on your best behavior, just as you would when visiting another country.

Why would you supposedly log in with your fiance's character and troll chat? You don't care about his/her's reputation? The moment you typed something to publically try and rally people to cause harm to the game and the players, you violated the ToS. Sega has every right to ban you whether you intended to carry out the plans or not.

Make no mistake, you are (were) privileged to be playing on the JP servers. They could've put IP bans on foreigners forcing them to wait for international PSO2 where we're supposed to be. Being given the privilege means you need to be on your best behavior, just as you would when visiting another country.

i never rallied anyone to cause harm to anything. i was simply saying we should let them know we want global servers..... the thing is had those messages been said any other day that the game wasnt being hacked this would not be happening. end of story. my conversation got tied into it cause people were apparently talking about the hacks while i was stating opinions completly unrelated to hacking and they cut/pasted tyhem together to make it look bad. yexes was randomly trolling me so i defended myself. so were a couple of other people. i have the right to my opinions and to state them and i have the right to defend myself against trolls.

I play with a lot of Japanese players and tend to stay the fuck away from the 19~23 band of blocks thanks to the large amount of incredibly rude people, spammers and the like.

Yes, in my experience the majority of English speaking players on those blocks are wankers. Played with some very cool folks from Europe, it seems to be Americans that are the most idiotic.
