same problem i got before when 1st time install the game and failed to get update patch and success on 2nd try where ppl are sleep which is network are no so busy, i just leave it there until i awake in morning. i think i got read before about network congested during busy hours. well anyway try again.

I bypassed this by spoofing with a VPN, otherwise it fails most of the time, sometimes it will work without VPN-ing.

i didn't have to do this, i have a decent connection with Tokyo servers and when Sega's not congested on their end, it only takes me a few minutes to DL stuff+^_^+

i never have to use any kind of bypassing service to connect and patch/play and i'm on the west coast

maybe west coast has something to do with it, i dunno

i never had that problem but i've already been here but i just had to update from the maintenance but it's too busy

Yeah Virtual Private Network. For some reason PSO2 servers are the only thing that gives me problems, once I'm in game the connection is fine and I can disable the VPN and play normally with my normal connection, it's only for patching and starting that I need it to lessen the hassle.

well what I say is when the time I got the error message saying cannot completed the update patch, I try to restart the client to download update patch again at midnight which is the network not so congested as I from asia, Sorry that I making it to confused u.

Use expat shield, it's free and doesn't have a cap, connecting and disconnecting is easy too.
