Only rendering three models on Campship?

I've run into a small graphical problem: on the campship, I can only render three models (mine included) at a time, whereas normally I can render five models. What';s the dealio?

There's an option in-game that you can set the maximum number of models your game will render. You didn't mess with any sliders in there, did you?
