Unfortunately, I have a lot of technical skills - but ripping sound files is not one of them. And my friend and I just had the brilliant idea of using the PSE BURST's "ONE MORE!" clip for a text-tone.

Does anyone know of a place where I can obtain said sound clip?
Format doesn't matter, but preferably .wav or .mp3.

Or if someone wants to rip it and add it to this awesome world of PSO stuff - that'd be incredible!

You may very well be correct.
Which was kinda part of my definition of "rip".

I guess I should clarify that.
Rip:
a) Find a way to extract the sound-file, through means of data-mining or "hacking".
b) Record it and clear the excess noise.

Unfortunately, I lack skills in both departments...

As for how I'm getting the audio, I went to the PSO2 launcher and muted everything but the Voice option. Then I used fraps to record the audio of the announcer announcing the code or whatever. Lastly I took the video fraps saved and opened VLC to extract the audio from the video file. I would've used Audcacity or something along those lines, but my Mobo doesn't support Stereo Mix ;___;. It's kind of a pain in the ass, as you have to stop whatever you're doing in fear of your character making a sound / getting attacked /KOFFEE AND THE OTHER FUCKS INTERRUPTING OUT OF NOWHERE and you can't be in a party as your team mates make HOOOOOH's and HAAAAAAAAAAH's as well.

Because I'm used to dealing with Japanese people who can barely speak English so I never paid much attention to it until now :( It took me a while to notice it was changed from Initiate to Emergency too.

Well if you have some knowledge of your computer and its sound card drivers...

If you have a spare... 3.5mm (headphone) male to male cord, you can plug one end into the microphone port, and then the other end into you main speaker port. Most pc speaker have an extra "headphone" port built in to the left or right of the volume / power button. That way whatever sound you make on you desktop (music, games, mouse clicks, everything) will be routed to your microphone port.

Then you can find a HQ Youtube Upload where someone has posted a video of the said subject matter, Open up sound recorder, and record what you want to create as a wav file.

Then you use a sound conversion program (Plenty of freebie via google), to edit the raw sound data to your liking, then change it to a format that your phone supports, I.E "mp3".

I used to do this a lot back in the late 90's to record things from my tape player to my computer. Effectively digitizing them.

Now a days, i have my xbox hooked up through my pc speakers. I just use one of my 27' LED Dual monitors instead of a tv. Much much better quallity... And so, i can record virtually any sound i want from any game i play.

Video capture cards are another option as well....

Sound quality will vary from sound card to sound card...but as long as you not using a microphone, you shouldnt have to worry about "white noise" or "background degradation".

Warning, you might need to play around a bit with your volume mixer. If its too loud.. you will feedback loop like crazy. If its too low..you wont get the sound right.

Change your recording device to the Stereo Mix (internal sound, basically), and then use record with Audacity.

I have a weird sound card (or lack thereof?) on my laptop that doesn't let me access stereo mix, so I was recording some voice clips with Fraps, and then ripping it from the video.

All with ingame music/sound effects off, of course.

Hey there. Saw this thread through Google and decided to contribute after grabbing the stuff off the first post.

Some sound file for Echo and Lisa, recorded in Sony Sound Forge from the game. I cut them into their smaller parts for easy text tone assignment. All mp3s. Also added my favorite Lisa wallpaper to the mix, and included all previous sound files in this thread.

No problem. I'll prolly just keep recording as I go. I tend to have awful luck on E Codes (Duel Vol Dragon, Changeover to DUEL VOL DRAGON), and I have never seen Destruction or Avoid. If I keep recording up maybe I can catch them, or some of the stuff the partners say during missions. Fraps crashes my PSO2, so I'll just have to pay attention with Sound Forge hotkeys.

Also gonna give recording the lobby music a shot, since I like it more as a ringtone than the action oriented music posted earlier.

I'm also extremely lazy, so don't anticipate everything too much.
