File check problem?

Every time I go to launch PSO2 I think it goes to check the files(it's a fresh install), however it freezes up right after starting the check. The launcher also doesn't show a version number. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If it's a fresh install, it's updating. It's not frozen, it just takes forever.
