removing affix and keeping the others?

How do you remove one of two affix on a weapon and keep the other one?

You can't just outright remove one, but there's a way to do it:

Example:
Shoot 2 (keep)
Mind 1 (don't want)

Try to synth it with it with another weapon which has shoot two, and another one that has mind or something that's hard to transfer like a soul.

Just basically try to resynth the one you want to keep by using another weapon, and for the second slot try an ability that has a low chance of succeeding.

I think I wrote this pretty poorly, but hopefully it's understandable!

If the intent is to isolate something for transferring, such as making it so the weapon only has Vol Soul left, it's completely useless to attempt
Since you'd have to sacrifice something with just as many slots, and also Vol Soul, to try to keep only Vol Soul

For the purpose of making it easier to transfer other abilities to it, you risk losing the ones you're keeping anyway, so just find things with enough slots instead

what you do is go to any NPC shop, select the second option, highlight the item you want to remove the ability from, click the button at the bottom, then press OK

you won't keep the other ability using this method, however
