Is it possible to transfer abilities to a weapon that has none?
Last I read, both weps have to have the same amount of slots.

Vol soul, power 3, and stamina 2 all on 1 weapon is a pain in the ass to make. All 3 attempts stamina 2 didn't want to make it. Armor abilities are really pricey as well if you try those.

Weapons with none are an exception, since you have to use weapons that have a single ability on them
This makes weapons that have JUST a soul on them much more valuable

Thanks.

So, which ability gives the highest SATK bonus? I think I saw a +50 once but I don't remember the name.

It might have been one of the popular Vol Soul + Power 2 set ups

So, if it fails, do both weapons break? Or just the material one?

How to you obtain "souls".

The sacrifices are all lost no matter what, but the host weapon only gets reset down to 0 abilities, to be worked up to 2 again using all single-ability sacrifices

Souls, such as Vol Soul, are on weapons dropped by their respective enemy (Vol Dragon in this case)

Uh, if your target item has no abilities, you can transfer from one with any amount of slots on it.

You can use trash for the 80% chance to add the first slot, or use your "useless" gear with two abilities plus a soul for this.

I wish I knew this before.

What about boosting abilities? For example, say I wanted to transfer power 1 to power 3, will this result in a power 1, BUT have a small chance of getting power 4?

You need 2 or 3 copies of Power 3 to attempt sticking a Power 4, which is all-or-nothing (does not keep Power 3 upon failure)

And no, you can't have Power 1 on your weapon, then try transferring over a Power 1 and a Power 2 to get a Power 3 in one go.
