More HP on weapons and armor?

How does one go about this task?

Do I need to buy the "Add Special Ability (HP)" item in order to add more HP to a weapon? Or do I need that item along another item to get more HP on a armor or weapon?

I've read some things about adding abilities on weapons, but i'm still not really sure on how it works exactly...

Thank you and yes for example the item I was talking about "Add Special ability HP" or the PP one.

Do those items add HP on their own or do they just open up a "slot" to transfer an HP/PP ability from another weapon/armor?

You transfer the HP bonus on something already on it to what you want it on

Using that item would add a unique special ability, yes.

Stamina and HP Boost are good, but there's even better
Vol Soul, Ragne Soul, Signo Soul, etc. along with HP Boost is crazy
