That about sums up the paranoid outlook on this. In reality, they had this clause in Closed Beta... yet we still played and openly spoke English. There's really no telling where this will ultimately lead.

And yes, we're able to patch. We've often been able to patch up before the servers with previous patches as well. With how big this one seems to be I'd start patching now so when you're able to play again, theres no wait for you.

The launcher bullet doesn't look like the Poison icon at all though (the Poison icon is purple with the dots more randomly placed).

Considering we don't know what the icon for Mirage effect is, I'm hazarding the guess that it's more along the line of a wind elemental effect.

Sega's upstream < your downstream, I'm getting mine at about 300 Kb/s (so the servers must be at load) +^_^+ I'm sure if you wait 6 hours or so, it'll be back to 600 Kb/s (all that unused bandwidth on my end.... oh well, Netflix time+^_^+)
