Question about the Re-Coloring Ticket

Is it the same 9 or 12 (I can't remember) colors you get when you're in the Character Creator?
Or do you get extra colors added?
I've noticed some outfits in player shops are either brighter or darker than the outfit(s) I got and I think those are their default colors.

I guess my plans on getting my outfit cheaper will work after all.
