That'd be interesting, but I'm afraid the Phantasy star series has evolved beyond return. Only if for some reason(wink wink) it gets incredibly popular in the future might they go back to its megadrive legacy.

The Motavian would be as screwed as Cast are now. That is to say they'd have nothing to have them stand out from the other races.

In the case of the Cast's they went from a race that were immune to poison/paralysis, could detect traps, and automatic recovery HP at the cost of not being able to use magic. To a race that could wirelessly connect to a military satellite for a air strike. To whatever they are now....

If it were the Beast they'd be stripped of their Nenoblast and chances for the Motavian or Dezolis of Duman for that matter wouldn't be dumb'd down.

You know what I really miss from PSIV? Combo attacks. How ward would it have been to implement that in PSO, PSU or PSO2? They managed to in crystal chronicals. Implement it so two peopl targeting the same monster could have a chance to create a combo tech.

Rafoie + Rafoie = a huge, huge explosion.
Razan + Razonde = a huge lightning storm and multiple tornadoes
Gifoie + a spinning melee Pa = melee wep catches fire and the hunter spins and spins and spins.
Deband + Deband = that protective ring tech from PSU.

Can't think of others right now, I'm texting and driving. You get the idea though.

I don't see the point of that, considering you practically could copy your mind and place it in a Cast if needed, and they probably also are capable of biologically recreating missing body parts for people that lost them, if needed...

They should make beasts more beast-like, give them racial mag trees only they can get (like, I dunno, a gorilla beating on some drums knocking all mobs up for high damage, or a Banshee that does 3 area of effect swipes and then vanishes), and give them tails.

The only outfit that shows midriff is STILL the swimsuit. (Hunewearl doesn't count, only shows bottom half + STUPID STRAPS!) Need more abdomen!

That aside, a more beast-like beast race sounds acceptable to me. They'll never go that route, however. I just know it.
