I thought it was overheating, but I have my laptop right over the AC, and I order a cooling pad.

I'm translating it myself, but since I cant copy I have to look at my charts, since I haven't studied in a while.

Big question is, anyone else deal with this, or is there a thread that deals with this, after its known. I'll be happy to go check it out.

Laptop is Dell 14 n4030, i know im pushing it(even though the game runs fine, now its getting out of control), but I wanna know if I can work around this.

Before I get to translating, I know its something to do with the display driver, an update perhaps? Hmmm o.o?

well you're using a dell which is problem 1 and you're also using the aqua theme for your background so that's problem 2. As far as the error do you have the English patch installed? My game went through something like this when I installed an older version of it lol

Yeah make sure you are using patch_aug_9 this happened to me when I wasn't paying attention to the patch number I applying 1 instead of 9.

Meevs
Aug 17, 2012, 09:57 PM
heh what do you mean by aqua theme... its set to transparent, yeah using the English patch, what do you use as opposed to a dell? lol(gosh i hate to change subject, but this always drives me to curiosity)

Meevs

That error comes up thanks to the Display Driver crashing and recovering. (PSO2 fails to reload.)

I'd guess either overheating or outdated/problematic video drivers.

The error message has something to do with another application. Sorry, but I can't read all of the kanji.

The D _ LL Brand on their "Inspiron" Line, some. Some, not all.
Has minor issue with their 'Chipset' Display Driver's.

Below is a Link to the \\ Manufacturer // Support Site.
Take your time read them though. And see what you are missing.

Basically that means PSO2 was terminated because of another application.

If another application attemtps to take exclusive control of the screen, the current desktop gets changed or anything that can cause the game to lose access to its DirectX surface and resources (like the graphics driver crashing) will cause this.

This is because SEGA was lazy when it came to the recovering of PSO2's resources. Instead of attempting to recover them and continue the game just exits. You can easily see this happening with PSO2 most of the time just by simply running something that requires UAC elevation, the UAC prompt causes the game to exit in the exact same way.

Computers love cold. You can never really make your computer 'too cold', unless you live on the ice caps or something.

Cold isn't a problem for computers. It's the heat that can destroy them.

If cold was an issue there wouldn't be water cooling systems, or people using dry ice ON the processors to keep them from overheating. lol

From your screenshot, I'm guessing you have a Core i3 with Intel HD Graphics? (I highly doubt it'd run on any other Intel graphics.) That error message indicates that the graphics driver crashed, or that the graphics processor stopped responding.

This is the latest driver for Intel HD Graphics for Windows 7 64-bit are here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20392&ProdId=3231&lang=eng The ones listed on the Dell website likely haven't been updated since they shipped that laptop.

Also, run Hardware Monitor (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html), and watch your temps while running the game.

The fact you can even play PSO2 with integrated graphics is a shock to me.

I know it's a dell, but even I wouldn't want to see one blow up or melt...

Cool, just did a driver scan on Intel, gonna try that driver really quick, Intel sais theres another driver.

Although yours is different.

You know, I had a similar error message. I asked on the Tech Support forum, but I wanted to see if maybe it was driver related as well. Take a look:

Okay, did a complete map, gonna assume the driver update was the fix for now, this doesn't seem like a popular prob., although ive heard it mentioned twice so far. Can't run that monitoring program either, but i wanna see the temps. PSO2 friday continues!

If its a driver issue, just go to the Intel/AMD/Nvidia website and download their latest driver for your graphics card and see if that gives it a fix.

I am also having a problem.
Every hour or so my PSO2 will crash, and bring up this message:
http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii602/Not_Crazed/PSO2CRASHING.jpg

My Laptop is a Sony Vaio Model PCG-7151M (I know its crap -.-) but it usually runs it fine.
People have been saying that it might be the GG update, but i dont think it is...

Anyone have any suggestions? :3

noo..no.
S _ ny V-io Line are Lexus of PC's.
Quite, Smooth. Nothing 'Hard Cord'.

Few Suggestions:
Get out of your MSN, FB is a start.
Bring up your \\ Task Manager // >> End Process Tree <<<
Look for the ONE's that are <<<< updater >>>>. End them.

When or If your FB, MSN, Skype are your sources for Communications.
>>> Start them. Before you start your PSO2.

50% +/- of PC's user are having the same problem.
(PSO2 crash. not many talks about it)
When other 'Application's' start while 'PSO2' is running.

You are not alone!

PS: LEAVE Game Guard alone.

That message is the standard "unexpected error has occured" message. So I don't think there is any good solutions right now because of how vague the error is.

Try disabling your anti-virus for now to see if that helps.

That is a very interesting error message, since it is saying "strange behaviour in the game program detected". I would hazard a guess at no to it being a video driver related issue, but try it out anyway. Driver related problems can be weird.

Does your anti-virus have things like intrusion detection and things like that? It may be related to that instead.

As stated, that error message just says something like "unknown error." It's bascially the game saying it doesn't know what happened. There could be a ton of causes for it.

For instance, my friend was getting it because he is either being IP blocked, or his ISP is blocking him from connecting to the game, so it was trying to run without updating. It's crazy too, because he even lives in Japan.

I also get it if I lock my computer while the game is running.

I encountered this problem when I had a Solid State Drive in system that had this broken Sandforce chip. After a firmware update of the SSD it was gone totally.

I am having this issue too, I registered to get some help.
I was able to play momentary ago fine and well, but when I closed the application and went to do some stuff it stopped working. When I clicked on the icon and the launcher comes up, it's alright. When I hit "Game Start" (I do not have the English patch installed, I figured it'd be something like this) and the launcher disappears, a few minutes (It'd normally take seconds for the game to load), it loads up a page on IE (which I don't have as my default browser, FF is) it shows nProtect (the game's SafeGuard) and when I look through, it says the guard is conflicting.

When I try to terminate the process, thinking it'd still be in the task manager, it's not there and when I tried to reinstall the game, it still doesn't work.

I don't know if it's related, when I was running through the volcano area (the 11~ one), Java popped up and bam, my game crashed and had me update Java. When Java was done updating, I went to replay the game, that's when the trouble began.

Try restarting your system. Sometimes the GameGuard process zombies and you either have to kill it yourself or restart the system (which effectively kills it).
The reason why I suggested restart is that it is the surefire method to deal with this issue on both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows and I have no idea what one you have.

For Java, it may be related to the crash (if the Java related stuff showed the UAC prompt then that would have done it) but it is not as likely to be the cause for the following GG errors.
