If you're talking about a blank monitor, you probably turned off the movie, so you aren't able to view the video. Before you start your game next time, check your options and find the setting which has "モニター" in it. I forget what the exact setting is called, but if you have it off, turn it on and you should be able to see the movie then.

but it's not meant to be taken seriously, it's a different type of "humor" then what westerner might be used to. kind of the humor that Gintama and Joshiraku use.
And it's always interesting to show people that don't understand the language what the lyric actuall mean.

I wouldn't take them quite as literally so much as the "point" it makes. Because it's true, at least to me. But it's also based on what you consider of value to yourself and what others measure you to. It's easy to be like HAH VIDEOGAMES, but considering the impact they have on people these days it's hard to really judge.

Anyway, I actually like the lyrics a lot, if that's what indeed they really are. Not offended at all, kind of makes me smile.

Anything that people don't understand can be considered "weird". It's too easy to be ignorant like that. I try to make an effort to understand, so most things aren't weird to me. We're all human beings, after all.

I'm not sure what was being referred to as "fucking weird", but if it's the "virtual idol singing a song about internet gaming"... that's not much different from "Chuck Norris and Mr.T doing commercials for World of Warcraft". Alternatively, Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber singing a song about something that most people are familiar with.

And I don't think all Japanese people think Call of Duty is stupid. Miku Miku Dance Cup has several submissions based on Call of Duty, and some of them have received a large number of views and favorites.

Nah, RMT and MPK are there on purpose, since the whole song's basically mocking MMO players in a joking way. The dude that wrote this song does random things like this once in a while.
