Not to bad, but i hope he do transform into something scary or at least something more of his style. That too me looks just like a higher commander darker boss as it is.

I liked how he pulled off a "Omega/Ultima Weapon" enemy apperance as Dios in PSP2I.
Although with some faces as his weakpoints.

maybe he has different forms? (i really hope he does. that's what made him so fun/awesome in PSO)

To be fair, that's his least neat form. If this is Falz, I don't think it's going to be his only form.

They're not mutually exclusive. Falz has possessed people in the past. In fact, that's how he does most of his damage. I'm confident that the mask is being controlled by Falz.
And if not outright possession, he's also transformed into a human once. Mind you, it's not clear if he possessed a human and used his body to transform (ala PSO), or if he turned directly into a human. Either way, we could be seeing that here.

Anyway, nice find. The monster designs of this game still don't fail to impress. I'm going to enjoy fighting this thing.

Seconded. Or it could be a smaller, more humanoid form that Falz takes when he's not being a gigantic monster. Seems a bit early for Sega to be releasing Falz IMO.

I don't believe it's Falz, myself. But there were some clues in this thread that point to it being him. I don't think we've really gotten far enough to have Falz revealed yet, myself. In fact... I can't even tell you what the story of the game is yet, since we only have a few story missions.

I don't hate it but his face is a little lame. Hopefully he gets crazier as the fight progresses. The game stutters and skips whenever I fight Big Vader so I cringe to think of how it'll perform in a 12 player fight with this behemoth.

I really liked the PSZ Falz. It was surprising and creative make him into this circus elephant from hell.

There are different sub-species of Darkers, though. The ones like the Dagans and Breeadas are more insect-like. But the ones like the Mikdas and Gawondas are more stone-based.

Perhaps Dark Falz will have one form for each 'type' of Darker species, in which case, the form in the OP would be the "stone" form.

Reminds me of Symbiote-Godzilla, a Devil-trigger form for DMC or better yet a 'supressed Frieza' type form. Though, if that is one of Falz's forms, looks pretty badass.

also note the internal name of this enemy - dphuman. It's probably 'dark phallus human' (phallus being the most amusing of the various romanizations the Japanese have used internally and in guidebooks for Falz).Funny but true. (http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Force)

Well interesting to see what comes after this then, seeing as that's the end of the datamined content we've known about since god knows how long.

Guess we can take a rough idea of what content the Vita version will contain upon release. Everything from Forest to Dark Falz/Sealed Ruins area (which judging from the snip seems a kind of PSZ Makara Ruins meets Falz Memorial deal) marking the end of 'Episode I'. It's almost guaranteed the completed version of the Story Rod will make its appearance too.

And for anyone hoping for a transformation.. I'd like to hope so but won't hold my breath. PSU doesn't even need talking about and Dark Falz Dios in Infinity only had an area colour-swap mid battle (and lolworthy death animation) which seemed like an accomplishment for the dev team to acheive without a loading screen... and as for Dog Falz in Zero..

I'd be very surprised if PSO2 of all games didn't have a 2nd or 3rd form for Falz but almost every other phantasy star does.

Darkers come in two main flavours: insects and ancient.

Insects, from Dagans to Dark Ragne may just be regular insects that dug too deep, contracted the taint, and came back to the surface with the intent of spreading it.

Ancient, like Ga Wonda, may be the real Darkers, or may even be infected battle golems (like darker-infested Stateria from PSU).

This Falz (or Phallus) looks more like the second type.

Then there's the fish, which may be a reference to PSU's Dark Fish and how derpy it was.

Lastly, his mask looks like the Arngriff head, as worn by the CAST near the stage (Zig, Jig, Jeeg, Zhieg, whatever you want to call him)... I can't take that face seriously. Just look at the top set of eyes, and the bottom set of eyes look like a cheesy grin painted on.

Kinda just looks like a Darker-infected armor for the Dragon tribe to me.
What with the Darker's whole ant colony theme, I'd have expected a gargantuan queen ant creature, something like the metroid queen or Alexia's final form in Code Veronica.
Unless, of course, Dark Force/Falz isn't related to the Darkers at all. The color scheme resembles the mysterious masked woman.

Personally, I always loved PSO1's Dark Force/Falz. Haven't seen any of the others.

Not sure how I feel about this new Falz. In terms of what matters in PSO2 right now, he definitely nails the darker theme. All darker are just giant insects, and with Falz's new insect wings, 4 eyes, and carapace looking armor, he fits in perfectly.

Something's off, though. Just doesn't look.... Falz-y enough for me. Battle music will be amazing though, no doubt. That's all I really care about. :D
