Mirrors for downloading client?

I have a friend who wants to play this game, but the client downloader keeps crapping out on him. Are there any mirrors from which he can directly download the client installer?

I don't know about mirrors but I noticed that while downloading I had to refrain from downloading anything else or using the internet for anything else altogether. Has he tried putting the downloader to do it's thing then letting it be with all other programs closed?
