Photon Crystals and Spheres

Where do these drop? I've only ever gotten one Photon Crystal, no spheres and of course, hundreds of drops. Is there any rhyme or reason to how we get them?

I believe you get them from completing Codes, among other things. Not sure, really.

That would make sense, I think I got my one and only photon crystal from a code, but not sure; I got it fairly early on.

Photon Crystals come from the mining machines in the Collect code; usually the overdrive machine.
Photon Spheres, I have no idea.

I only have 1 photon sphere, close to 500 drops though. I have no idea where the sphere came from, I wanted to assume one of my client orders.

Crystals and Spheres both have a chance of dropping from the Code Collect Drills.

I have about 9 Crystals and 1 Sphere thanks to them. >_>

I've got almost 1000 Drops, about 20 or so Crystals, and 2 Spheres. How I got them, I don't know. That's kind of sad.

I think they will be used later on in the game. Maybe a special trading center like a weapon and x photon spheres, and maybe you trade photon crystals for spheres and drops for crystals. I don't know for sure though.

Yeah, that's the only reason I bother with those codes. You might find an overdrive one and then you have good chances of getting grinders, synthers and crystals.

Only 2 crystals for now, but hey, I have time.

Lets just wait and see how long it takes for inflation to cause photon crystals to be the primary currency.
