question about password reset

Can I use a AOL email as the preliminary(Google translated name) contact email? thats the one used for password reset, or does it have to be something else like for the code for logging on a different PC? because for some reason you can't get that code through AOL to sign on another PC.

I would totally do that, but I unfortunately forgot the information I put in (security question, birth date, etc.) Although... I'm sure I put my own friggn' birth date. Agh, so frustrating.

Well I tried each piece of info that was given. Unless I'm doing something completely wrong. I'd log in through the AC purchase page to try and change my e-mail.
