Mmm, I had an art thread a while ago, and for some reason I'm having trouble updating the title and whatnot. Plus I think it's time for a fresh start, as I'm trying my hand at digital stuff a little more lately.

So here is my newest. A pic I did of my character, Caren, on ship 02.

Well at least you can tell and say what every thing is on your character so you did draw it really close to those specs. So that is a plus. Do you prefer computer or paper and pencil for drawings?


I definitely prefer traditional media. Pencils, ink, markers, or paint. I'm much much better at it, faster at it... Half of the strokes I make in digital media have to be "Ctrl+Z"d. I'm really not that proficient with digital media yet... I'm trying to get better though. :)

Also, I might as well put this up so I don't forget it. I was playing around with a scratchboard some weeks ago and made this rappy. I might go back and throw some coloured ink on it to make it yellow... or shade it to look like a white rappy.

That piece of Ryo's character is so crisp and clean and gorgeously detailed, it looks like official SEGA concept art :lol:. Looks wonderful.

Hm, however, I can't help but notice that the face seems a little too "young" for Ryo. I'll let him be the judge of that, though. ^^

I updated him with a shot of my progress when it was all just lineart and he didn't say anything about it. I hope he would have told me at that stage. O.O *nervous*

But wow, SEGA concept art! Well, I can't take the credit for being that good. I mean, I asked Ryo for his character references and stuff. ^_^;

I honestly feel like drawing organic things is more difficult to draw than metal or other hard pieces. Give me armor or architecture any day. :3 So long as I've got some decent references...

Just finished a commission for Vintasticvin-- It's his character astride a Garongo dressed as a cowboy sipping as sweet tea carrying the flag of Texas. Quite an awesome commission. This one was a lot of fun.

Pretty awesome stuff. Never would have thought to use a saddle. I would have rode it bareback. Also, Nassandra with clothes is a rare sight indeed.

I'd say that if she has her chest, belly, and feet all covered at the same time, take a picture. That's what's really rare, lolol.
