minus.com allows linking to uncompressed pictures+^_^+ and new AA i used for these updated pics is AA compatibility at 0x004010F0, 8xQ multisampling, 8x Sparse Grid Super-Sampling, and -2.000 LOD Bias with negative LOD bias set to allow, and AO set at 0x00000013 and high quality+^_^+
[S]Getting rid of Jaggies, putting pics next to each other, and then finding a way to keep Photobucket from re-sizing it turned into a 4 & 1/2 hour project・・・・・
but now i know+^_^+ 4x4 supersampling carries thru in prnt scrn pics (idk why Multisampling don't), just have to hash it out with Paint for merging, save as jpg and upload with option set to Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less) and success+^_^+

Whatever happened to Ferria anyway?? i loved that logbook・・・・

Backround story:

He is a short manufactured CAST that has the special ability/function to produce coffee inside his inner workings. Deemed too dangerous, he was forced to work along side ARKS and was forced to seal his mystical coffee machine away. He now travels space in order to find this key which will unlock this function so that he may give everyone coffee~ But what kind of coffee does Thestalos produce? Why is it deemed dangerous? We will never know...

Alright, so let’s get the elephant out of the room. When I first started the Phantasy Star series with Blue Burst for the PC, there were two major things I was interested in. Firstly, the jaw dropping 200 level cap. My god, the concept of going beyond even 100 was baffling to me! And the second most important point: I GET TO MEET SANIC!!!! OMG!!!! That’s just how I thought of the world around me back then, if Sonic was somewhere in the game, I was an instant customer and devout follower of said game no matter what people said. I’m sure many of us were the same when we were young. And hopefully like myself, our reasons for playing the game changed as we climbed the level-ladder.

I was rather stumped with a character name at the time. My sister was urging me to try and make a different character over the typical character I normally used. With no leads on how to design my nickname, I decided to follow the two word pattern of using an adjective with a noun. Tried multiple combinations and ended up with the name, AzureEdge. Once I finally had a name, the rest of the character was easy to make through the limited customization options which unintentionally took the color pallet of a certain hedgehog. Honestly, unintentionally! Blue is like my favorite color and green happens to go great with it ^^;. As I explored the galaxy of Ragol with my fellow hunters, we’d make occasional cracks of my character’s color pallet. And of course I made it my personal mission to acquire all the all of the sonic items in the game. I’ve only one regret when the official server shutdown occurred; I never acquired the mythical Zanba sword :(. But I still look back to all the fun times of those days; including nonstop usage of Burning Rangers Discs when fighting Dark Falz.

Though I did play PSU, it was at this point I had grown out of the sonic craze after experiencing the horror known as the Secret Rings and explored different options besides being a HUmar sonic enthusiast. I did attempt to recreate the little guy in the extra offline mode but I wasn’t too satisfied with the hair options and had an obsession with blonde spikey hair at the time. AzureEdge’s experiment did introduce me to the beast race which I grew the love and dearly miss. :( I still enjoyed my time on PSU for what it was an I shall miss that game. But it does make things better that PSO2 has adopted a lot of what was good about the game.

Funny story, a few years later, my sister and I ended up playing a game called Tales of Vesperia. A game that featured a spamable sword hadoken called “Azure Edge” (http://i.imgur.com/wvg5n.jpg). So if that doesn't sound like validation of a badass name, I don’t know what is.

Now getting back to PSO2, I wanted to make a third character alongside my HUcast and RAnewm(both who may or may not get entries here in the near future). So then I began reminiscence on the good times I had with the character AzureEdge. In time, I decided to play around with re-envisioning that character with PSO2's engine. Figured it was time to have a good laugh at myself and the silly things I used to do (some I still do even today). I took more of Sonic’s features into account such as long legs, small torso; closest to 100 cm as I could get; and the cat ears combined with Aki’s hairstyle really help nail the true blue mimicry. The glasses however were a reference to my PSU character who’s defining feature were blue glasses. The red trimmed were just the only ones that didn't hide the eyes so much. It’s not like the blue hedgehog hasn't worn them before. Looking at the design now, I’m rather satisfied with his decade long evolution.

I'll definitely be bracing for the waves of "Fakers"(half-assed Sonics, some who won't even so much as bother as to get remotely into character) on the English servers as it is inevitable. But I shall take pride in being a somewhat more tasteful play on the character. It's part of the reason why I don't give myself the name Sonic directly at this point as it acts as something like a filter. I'm just another player to the general populous, but the more observant or the those who already know the people I hang out with will be able to make the connections to my references. And those ultimately are more likely to be the kind of people I'll want to hang out with. Besides this is more-so a tribute to my PSO1 character than it is a tribute to Sonic. Already, I've met tons of people through this new identity. Some of my old buddies from my other characters, some new ones, and even a team who was willing to take me in even when my character was still a newborn. Eventually, I came to enjoy this character well enough to crown him as my new main character. Hence why my PSO-W account now reflects a Sonic style to it instead of its former brooding cast supremacy one akin to Commander Nilhos. I guess I liked the character more than my others because it was mainly inspired by my own behaviors over the characters I actually spent time to create extensive background for. Though there is still much improvement needing to be done to this game, the bonds I've formed through playing the game and the my simple pleasures of Hokuto Drillkening anything that comes my way will keep me a happy customer for years to come. Both on the English servers and the Japanese servers.

Biography [PSO2 story] |
[SPOILER-BOX]I almost decided against writing one up as this is technically the joke character out of all the ones I've own. But I decided to give it a try anyway to see if I really could drum up a quick basic story to tie in with the PSO1 character. Needless to say all of this is subject to change due to my lack of understanding of the current storyline. I'v only just finished chapter 2 with little clue on whats going on xD.

Azure was found frozen in a block of ice on the planet of Naberius by dispatched Arks teams. It isn't known for how long he had been trapped there, but his equipment was too severely outdated to be of the ARKS. When interrogated the boy claimed to be a Hunter from Pioneer 2, a colony ship that had mysteriously vanished from the face of the galaxy many years ago. Researchers sought to study and question the boy further, but they couldn't get a coherent response out of him. Azure would just keep going on and on about his obsession with “chilidogs” and claiming to be “the fastest hedgehog alive”. Despite his questionable mental state the ARKS decided instead to allow Azure to enlist in their forces to make use of his “innate skills” the boy kept boasting about. Story:
Created as a prototype, Syklo was initially made as a test subject to be the "ace of all trades"; capable of doing anything with a high proficiency. She proved the objective and was dispatched to the A.R.K.S. to join the ranks of the other older-generation CASTS.

However, due to her ability, she was despised by everyone there and was secluded for several years. Unknowingly, as a prototype, this "seclusion" caused her to lose stability and she eventually resorted to cryostasis. She may be non-organic, but cooling temperatures real low can affect the circuitry in her.

In the current era, she was just recently thawed out of "cryostasis" with her own "will." None of her skills were retained but her character remained, and she asked for help from the new A.R.K.S. for combat training. Bewildered by the sudden request, they decided to take this opportunity to inspect some of her data. Unfortunately, no data was found: none at all, but for her to retain her character, it's as if she switched partitions of herself, on her own. Truly mysterious for a mere prototype.

Now, although combat-proficient once again, the A.R.K.S. are the only group that she trusts; gaining such trust with her will be really difficult. Once obtained, however, you can guarantee that she won't betray you...unless you betray her. Even so, will she choose to side with nostalgia and attempt to unlock her other partition, or bliss with ignorance and live her "life" as is: finally with some friends?

Story was improvised on the spot.....I request you don't criticise it since such plotlines are basically meaningless here.

Stolen and awoken by Gravity from Hakai Flowen in the future, she is completely infatuated with him. Obeying every command by Gravity and only Gravity, she sees anyone that opposes him as a threat and is killed on sight. Any female that's caught by Gravity's unusual charm is of high suspicion, she never says any more than one word unless she is alone with Gravity, a complete personality change when they are alone. She still has fragments of Dizzy Flow's memories and has what many would call a split personality, That of F-13, and Dizzy Flow. She was created by a scientist named Hakai Flowen, whom Gravity told the reason for watching over Dizzy Flow. After learning this truth, Hakai murders Dizzy Flow and succeeded in finishing her research, to make a perfect being from fragments of the parasitic gene flow and Cybernetic-like parts given to her by Gravity, which Dizzy Flow had dormant inside her until recently thanks to some actions by Gravity. In turn completing the first of Dizzy F-13's kind.

During the attempt to get Dizzy F-13, Gravity was gravely wounded by a weapon, a gun, created by Hakai in secret to completely eliminate anyone or anything infected by the gene. Gravity was shot point blank in the chest as he stabbed Hakai through the stomach, the awoken Dizzy F-13, enraged by Hakai's actions finished Hakai off and left through a portal with Gravity leading back to the past, who is now too weak to make another move on his own after creating the time rift. So for the time being Dizzy F-13 is his weapon to accomplish anything that he could have easily done himself until he recovers and the past Hakai is now his puppet to keep Dizzy Flow safe without having his presence being found out just yet. Dizzy F-13 is the key to completing Gravity's plan even after he recovers, what that plan is, is yet to be known, even to her.[/SPOILER-BOX]

A genious scientist with a firey attitude, decendant of Heathcliff Flowen, and best friend to Dizzy Flow. Six years prior to meeting Dizzy, she was researching old documents of the past related to the dark force. She found out that there were many other time periods like what is happening in the present, but what caught her eye was her grandfather, Flowen, the pioneer 1 incident, and person who was said to have solved the mystery while sacrificing many of his allies, Gravity, going missing nearly the same time Flowen was put to rest. For a month she continued researching, most specifically, Gravity. His entire file was classified and most of the info had been lost through time.

But she kept going to find answers, one night when she got home she had a strange feeling. Right after she entered and closed the door, she hears someone. "Yo." a chill runs down her spine as she turns to see who it was. Standing before her is a man in a black tux with his hands in his pockets, green hair, a devious smirk on his face and yellow eyes almost that of a hawk piecing through her as if stalking its prey. "W-w-who are you?" she asks in a shaky voice. "Why I'm your new best friend, girl." he says as if he wasn't serious. "W--what do you want from me?" she asks, still shaking in fear. "Heh heh heh...the question is, what do you want from me?", he says jokingly.

Finally composed again, she asks, "What do you mean?" "I've been watching your actions for some time now, and you seem to have a large interest in the dark force, and well, me.", the man responds. "You? Huh?", she asks confused. He closes his eyes with that same smirk on his face, leans closer to her and says, "I'm Gravity, nice to meet ya." Hakai instantly freezes in fear, unable to say a word. "Well girl, since you seem to be at a loss for words I will tell you this, free the test subject Dizzy, in the "abandoned" facility north of here and watch her from now on. If you want answers to your curiosity she is your girl." "So, do we have a deal? Heh heh heh" he says as he pulls a hand from his pocket and holds it to Hakai. Still in silence, she reaches out and grabs his hand. "You have the potential that I need to accomplish my goal, Hakai. Here, take her with you to facility, you will need her." he says with a grin on his face.

From the shadows steps an android..."Who is this? Was she here the entire time?" Hakai asks in a shaky voice. "She is...one of the keys to my goal, a half organic cast and possiblty the strongest among them all. Now go, she will handle the...dirty work." Hakai stares at the mysterious yet menacing figure, neither say a word. Turning back to Gravity, he is nowhere to be found. "Well...let's go find Dizzy." Hakai says reluctantly. Not much for RP, but what the heck, she deserves a backstory.
The only child of a gunsmith, Lucette was raised with guns in her hands. She can only feel at peace when a firearm is within grasp. This in turn has given her a rather trigger-happy persona, and won't hesitate to open fire if it seems appropriate, irregardless of circumstance. With a quick temper and quicker aim, she was scouted for ARKS at the age of 15, and has since proven her skills on many occasions. While her knowledge of ballistics and ranged armament are near-unparalleled, she takes a keen interest in defensive units and armoring, and as such has outfitted herself with the best anti-Photon armoring ARKS can provide. And if ARKS simply cannot furnish her with what she wishes, she finds her own ways to hunt it down.

He cannot recall his own memories when he was found left for dead at age of 10 in an destroyed Arks Ship, as the only survivor he was left... indifferently from the others. Eventually due to the incident and him being the only connection with the events spurring within Arks's Current World, he was recruited and with hopes to venture into the other planets in hope to find his lost memory. After meeting a girl which he fought off Dagan's that was going after her. He notice she and him bears similar physical appearance, but then again like Afin would say it's just coincidence. But it still draws him more to curiousity due to both having no memory of what happened to them. He Soon decides to gather friends and open himself up a bit more, so he can get the chance to help this girl as well finding answers he seeks.

Not much is known about this model since its production line was put to a halt years ago. Scientists have been trying to track down its origins down to the root model due to its unique optical device; a customized eyewear with a processor that can collect small quantities of photon energy like how EMR is absorbed, which is then used to enhance its computing capabilities regarding quicker talis deployment and better emplacement, and dodging. More photon energy also improves its tech attack.

Only one unit exists as of now, which is currently within the custody of ARKS, and is most of the time being examined and observed by the R&D division. Occasionally, it can be seen being deployed in missions.

Female; human. She used to live and share a mother-and-daughter relationship with her aunt, who works for ARKS as a scientist in an R&D division for weapons and apparels. Originally applied as an adjutant for ARKS but failed the test. She was then given another chance to work as a combatant due to her having some experience in swordplay (which isn't really great, but it helps), and was transferred to another ship destined to stop by at their home planet. Her aunt wanted to join her, but her request had been unfortunately revoked. Reluctantly, Eli had to go either way for reasons known only to the two.

Not much is known about this model since its production line was put to a halt years ago. Scientists have been trying to track down its origins down to the root model due to its unique optical device; a customized eyewear with a cpu that can collect small quantities of photon energy like how EMR is absorbed, which is then used to enhance its computing capabilities regarding quicker talis deployment and better emplacement, and dodging. More photon energy also improves its tech attack.

Mazarin was custom-made by a laboratory researcher of questionable sanity. His design was based on a bizarre and ridiculous tale of a hero in Gurhal. The original author is unknown. Mazarin didn't take being the product of a silly story too well. He began his training at an early age, most likely when he was about as young as the those little girls that may not actually be little girls in the Arks' ranks. As he grew, he developed a fighting style that combines dexterity, agility, his racial affinity for photon manipulation, and a dash of insanity for good measure.

Mazarin seems to treat the Arks' struggle against the encroaching Darkers in a strangely trivial manner. Is protecting the universe some sort of game to him? With such a bizarre outlook on the world, that's definitely possible. He seems content to wander the three planets searching for new challenges, but he lacks an understanding of the stakes of the Arks' conflict with the Darkers and the more threatening natives of Naberius, Amduscia, and Lillipa.

Outside of combat, he is a somewhat recognizable figure for his oddball antics and distinct appearance, especially since he is one of the few males with pink hair in the Arks colony. Others' reactions vary, ranging from bewilderment to disgust to affection. He has had thoughts of becoming an entertainer of some kind... maybe a prop comic.

...Oh, and there was one time when he was kicked out of a baseball game for using a sword as an improvised bat.

From a long line of great warriors, Ayumi decided to continue the tradition and joined the Arks to help any threat at bay.
Remembering stories of how one of her ancestors put their children on a ship to have a safe life away from a dying planet, she's motivated to keep the legacy of her family strong.
Just like her mother, while she's out completing orders she was assigned to keep the peace, she won't hesitate to help those in need. This does not mean she's to be taken lightly as a kind soul as she's known to mutilate those that irritate her on the spot.
One day her great grandmother told her about a special weapon that has been past down from many generations, just like her special Zanba which she heard came from a great man many centuries ago. It was a special pair of guns that was said to have helped one of her ancestors single handedly defeat a dark creature. The name has long been lost, but the initials "G.M." plays a role in their names.
Ayumi will not rest until those guns are found and back with the family once again... is there a bigger threat she should be worried about? Rumors of a mechanical clone of her has been spotted on ships and on missions before. Not much is known other than this...

Backstory: The so-called "Ace" of the Arks. Little is known about Sinanju except her name and skills. The red-claded CASeal was sent to the abandonned Arks Ship in order to wipe out Darkers and search for survivors, Sinanju prefered to work alone and she managed to done it many times. She also doubled as a bounty hunter because of fund shortage(by spending the mesetas for weapons).
This red CASeal maybe a workaholic, however, Sinanju does have her own goal; treasure hunting and searching for other relics that can be used with the mysterious rod, which she finds it interesting. As for now, she's still running for mesetas.

Apparently, Sinanju disguised herself as a nurse for fun and begins to earn the nickname "Pink Disaster" when she jumps into a battlefield.

Backstory: One of the forces' younger members, Euryanthe is just one of the many children who fight both Natives and Darkers. Originally, her parents weren't going to let Euryanthe join the ARKS until she was much older. However, she managed to get some "training" from her older sister, Emma (http://pseternal.altervista.org/images/stories/news/febbraio-2012/pso2-ramarl-concept.jpg)--a well-known and respected ARKS Ranger. During one of her training sessions with Emma, the two Ledaals found themselves ambushed by Darkers while on Naberius. Emma forced her into making an escape back to their ship. While anxiously awaiting her sister's arrival, Euryanthe overheard gunshots and the screams of other ARKS members still on Naberius. Through the static, Euryanthe overheard Emma's voice screaming "Ragne". The signal faded shortly thereafter. Euryanthe joined the ARKS the same day of her sister's memorial service. She regrets what happened, but does not let Emma's death distract her from her mission.

Today, Euryanthe has grown into a well-rounded ARKS cadet, on her way to mastering the classes Ranger, Gunner, Hunter, Fighter, and Force.

Backstory: Chizumi is one of the few but steadily growing FOcast and FOcaseal units. Normally unable to channel photons into Techniques, Chizumi and many other CASTS like her were built to accomodate the demand for more Force ARKS. Still relatively new to ARKS, Chizumi was partnered up with a veteran ARK named Euryanthe Ledaal. Chizumi was more than happy to oblige, however Euryanthe originally hated the idea of having to drag Chizumi around. She was still practically in Alpha testing and her systems froze during her first few minutes of field training. But, despite her flaws, Chizumi proved to surpass Euryanthe as a Force. Paired with Euryanthe's clumsy, erratic, hot-headed style, Chizumi kept Euryanthe healed and cleared through hordes with CAST's unrivaled precision.

Today, Chizumi is no longer under Euryanthe's guidance and is rapidly making a name for herself as a resourceful healer and crowd-controller.

At first, I was kind of hesitant to post on this thread. It seemed like kind of a cheap move to just copy another perfectly good thread. But, I kind of enjoy how this thread worked out, and I like having all the characters sorted by ship and character name. And people are getting into their backgrounds, which I'm really enjoying. I'm also enjoying seeing characters again. That has always been my favorite part of this game.

Levia is a creation of a retired angel who pooled all his resources and experience in creating life into one project, in an attempt to create the best life form he could. In the end, he tried to streamline every virtue he could into one creature. Anything he couldn't program in genetically, or surgically add later, he taught and trained into her. Satisfied with his work, he uses her as help around his lab, an artificially created dwarf planet created from water (he has a thing for water), or to perform tasks he's too busy to do himself. She is often sent to other worlds when they're in peril to help as best as she can.

During development, physical priority was given to survivability, stability, and mobility, allowing her to be relatively comfortable in any environment, even extreme ones. Being as comfortable in water as on land gives her an amphibious nature, and has on occasion been known as "that fish girl" because of that. Because she was created from scratch, she doesn't have instincts or emotions. Instead, she was trained to use logically created morals and guidelines. She can make ethical decisions as fast as an emotional response is created by a human, so it's a useful workaround. Her priority is to please her father, which serves as motivation for the rest of her tasks.

She was sent to the ARKS ship to help with the darker problem. Normally, she is given a cosmetic augmentation to help ease her into a society. But the ARKS are advanced enough that this wasn't necessary. Her stable body and combat training makes her a strong fighter, so she spends most of her time clearing dangerous areas for the ARKS. She has a preference in reverse gripped swords, and is also fond of polearms. But, she has taken the time to practice in as many weapon types as she has available. When she's not fighting, she helps around the ship. Her quiet personality and her dedication to work prevents her from building strong relationships, but her non-confrontational personality makes her pleasant to work with.

Levia has problems easily socializing with new societies, and often comes off as timid. In an attempt to please her father, she wants to make everyone happy. She can't always do this though, and every time she fails, she becomes more reserved and polite in an attempt to step it up. This is not caused by lack of confidence. She knows her capabilities and limits. This personality is simply the best way she can find to keep confrontation at a minimum, and keep moral high.

OK, decided to try my hand at writing stuff. And where else to attempt it other than a videogame forum? So, here goes:

Bio:

Being the only child in the family with a long military history, it was only natural for her to follow in her father's, mother's and generations of ancestors' footsteps and become a high-ranking officer. She joined the Military Academy at the age of 16 with that exact goal in mind. However, it has turned out to not be so easy. While doing okay at classes and training excercises, her disregard of protocols and direct orders was at first shrugged off as the age thing, but later, along with her being too incompetent to join any of the forces of her liking (unreliable for Intelligence Agency, too terrible of a pilot for Air Force and physically unfit for Special Forces and Commando Corps), being unwilling to fix any of those downfalls and having only few talents otherwise, still got her kicked out of the academy in just 2 years.

Having learned a thing or two from that, she was a bit more responsible in the Law Enforcement Academy that she joined later. Though once again failing to join Special Forces (that she personally wanted) and Internal Affairs Agency (that her parents wished her to join), her "bad, though not in comparison" resume and family's help has managed to get her accepted as an intern in the Crime Investigation Unit before even finishing the training. Things were going well for a while, up until she was allowed to carry a gun and accompany officers on the crime scene. After one of the cases, involving illegal arms trade, went out of hand, she almost ended up in jail herself for disobeying orders and breaching suspensions first from the case and then from duty. Luckily, all of the suspects involved in that case have been found guilty (most of them posthumously), and case has been solved, so it only cost her the career at law enforcement.

With nowhere else to go, she decided to sign up for the exploration missions to other planets, referred to as "Scavenger Corps" within her family, which required surprisingly little previous experience (they even accept children). Although disappointing everybody including herself with this decision at first, she at least made the first step in getting back into military. Moreover, she has quickly found out that strict enforcement of arms policies among the explorers is compensated by much more lax discipline regulations, which, combined with her lifelong experince with various photon weaponry, short temper and trigger-happy attitude (traits that didn't serve her too well before, but are just perfect for this kind of a job), might make it the perfect place for her after all.

Although supposedly a tragedy, she can't call the sudden rise of Darkers as anything other than a fortunate turn of events. Discovery of rare and powerful weaponry on the three planets, combined with ARKS regulations that, for some reason, strictly forbid anybody other than the explorers to possess it, has quickly turned her job from a useless gig into an elite military force. Her participation in protecting the ARKS ships and driving the Darkers off has eventually helped her to redeem herself in the eyes of her family, too. On a flip side, it has made choosing between attempting to get back into the crime investigation or better military branches after ditching this stupid job much harder, as not only is this job itself perfect for her, it might even make her some money, since despite arms regulations becoming more and more strict as more powerful artifacts are being unearthed, having some experience with the way it's handled and seeing some holes in security, it has occured to her that she just might be able to satisfy some of the demand on photon firepower among the ARKS ship residents, which conveniently increases as Darkers grow more and more powerful.[/spoiler-box]

Believe me, I wanted to! And in essence, Vesper really is just Alia 3.0 (In PSO1 and PSU, my main character WAS Alia, based off of MMX). But I felt it was time for at least a name change; one that was a little more unique and possible a little more memorable. I'm glad you picked up on my character's design influences! :D

Thanks! I have 3 different characters lol so I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want to "main". I'm aware you can change classes but having a Cast as a Force or a Newman as a Ranger just doesn't feel right.

There's a story translation thread out in the guides section of the forum. There's no real story to speak of, though. Basically, some space chick comes from beyond time to tell you what to do so the future doesn't get screwed up (and is made out of water, which automatically makes her the best character in the game), so you go to the places she tells you to go (via matter board) to fix certain events. Beyond that, Darkers are attacking things, and there's a mysterious masked man working with them. And, that's the story so far.

[spoiler-box]In the far future the Earth is in constant termoil. A breed of monsters called Aragami arise and threaten the planet, and there seems to be no way to stop them. An organization called Fenrir comes forward and creates a weapon called God Arc, a weapon which uses the same oracle cells that Aragami are composed of to destroy them. The few people who are capable of handling these weapons are given the name Gods Eater.

One day, a gods eater named Hannibal was fighting a very powerful aragami, and although he was victorious, hit god arc was badly dammaged. Through a slow and painful process the oracle cells in his god arc began to mutate Hannibal into one of the many monsters that he had been killing for years. Many tried to take him down but none returned alive.

At last, Fenrir decided that they would just get rid of Hannibal before he caused too much dammage to the Earth. One brave soul sacrificed herself to lure Hannibal into a trap, she was none other than Sarah, Hannibal's closest childhood friend and fiance. Once Hannibal was captured, he was ejected into space and went into a long cryogenic hybernation that was brought on by the oracle cell's desire to live.

Many many years later, the Arkz found a large capsule deep within the frozen tundra of Naberius, when they opened it, there was a lone man inside, after he regained consciousness, he explained to them what had happened, he recalled every detail of what happened even after he became a monster. Scientists concluded that when the oracle cells went dormant, their overall function stopped and they gradually vanished deep into Hannibal's DNA. After much psychiatric therapy Hannibal slowly started to recover his sanity, and decided to go train as one of the people that saved his life, the Arkz...

Training was not as difficult as I thought it was. It seems like my body is still clinging to the oracle cells that once made me a monster. Although, because of this, I am alot stronger than those arround me, but at the same time... I don't know if there will be a time where I will threaten those arround me. But, the founder of the Arkz fleet came to me after hearing my story and said, "You have had some wonderfully terrible bad luck in your life hav'nt you son? I hope that you will protect everyone on this ship from suffering like you have. And stop by my little shop if you want to upgrade your equipment."

[SPOILER-BOX]The Renvalts are a prestigious clan taking root in the regions of South Eastern Germany. Fate often brings to this clan two children - one that bears a love of the West and its gallant culture, and one that prefers the mystique and vibrance of the East.

Whilst on a flight from America to Korea, Hendrik Renvalt was caught in a seastorm that forced him out of his plane and into the sea. What was worse is that through some inexplicable phenomena, he was sucked into a whirlpool that erased any trace of his whereabouts.

When he awoke, he was in an unfamiliar surrounding. He had a million questions on his mind, but none were more nagging than the question of: "Who keeps shouting for help? And how am I the only one who hears it?" Seeking answers and suddenly sensing the ambush of the local wildlife (all of which had no intention of peaceful negotiations), he kicked open the case containing his weapon, the famed Gunblade Dracaena, and faced the cliff that contained the trouble he sensed.

Backstory : Orphaned at an early age, Aisling was raised by the Rosemeyer family of mercenaries. Loneliness and a lack of personal identity made her angry and somewhat anti-social and often resulted in many violent outbursts. Her foster family decided to train her in combat in order to control these urges, which only turned out to be partially successful. While she learned not to bully the weak, she had no problem turning her vengeance on those who did. Her only friend for a long time was the Rosemeyer's only daughter, Jade, who often lent her an ear, some advice, and much medical treatment. She cares deeply for Jade because of this and has pledged herself to be her personal protector, though whether her feelings run deeper is a question even Aisling doesn't have an answer for.

In an effort to become more sociable, she enrolled in ARKS as a navigator, helping with assigning various mercenaries on missions. This effort was short-lived, as her blunt nature and short temper culminated in her beating a FOmar repeatedly over the head with his own rod when he made a disparaging comment about her height (at 4'11", she is quite sensitive about it). She insists he started it, and the FOmar, who prefers to remain unnamed, turns pale and runs away screaming whenever the subject is brought up. On the verge of being punished, she was saved by an ARKS instructor named E.Seigami, who had witnessed the event and offered to train her, seeing her potential. Aisling jumped at the opportunity.

She was initially trained as a Force, E.Seigami hoping to make use of her sensitivity to photons as well as teach her control. Like before, this only proved partially successful. While blowing things up gave Aisling some satisfaction, she realized that her true passion was in melee combat and is currently training as a Hunter. The onset of the Darkers gives her plenty of opportunity to test her skills and vent her passions.

Backstory : The only daughter of the Rosemeyer family of mercenaries, being raised in a family full of men has made her tomboyish, yet sensible. When Aisling was brought into the family, she was happy to have another girl to confide in, especially since the silver-haired newman was only a year younger than her. This happiness soon turned to exasperation at Aisling's short temper and it took a great deal of patience to finally crack her shell and get her to open up. The two have become quite close since then and Jade's concern for Aisling's well-being has grown into something far deeper, though she remains uncertain whether or not Aisling feels the same way.

Like the rest of her family, Jade enrolled in ARKS as a mercenary. While she displays a good amount of skill as a RAmarl, her true passion is in the field of medicine and she often is seen assisting the Medical shop in-between missions. She often teams up with Aisling during missions as a source of both long range and medical support and while Aisling's recklessness is a source of both worry and exasperation, there is no one else she takes greater pleasure in patching up.

Luna is a mysterious Cast girl who appeared out of nowhere on Ship no. 002 (Ur) of the Oracle fleet. She was picked up by police for openly carrying military-grade weapons in a civilian area, and was found afterwards to not be registered in any of the fleet's databases. Luna apparently has been a member of several organizations similar to ARKS in the past; she showed a "Pioneer II Hunter's Guild Whitill Section ID", a "GUARDIANS" personnel card, a "Little Wing" personnel card, and a "Dairon City Hunter's Guild" personnel card to the investigators. After explaining her story, as unbelievable as it seemed, Luna was allowed to join ARKS (albeit under intense scrutiny), instead of being thrown in jail.

Luna explained that she was once a human whose home planet was ravaged by Dark Falz. While on the brink of death, she was saved by her uncle, a brilliant scientist traveling with a group of armed protectors that had come to aid the survivors. He put her in her unique Cast body, even though she did not want to be saved at the time. The transfer (a one-of-a-kind, unprecedented procedure) worked perfectly, and because of this, to this day Luna retains her human personality and emotions.

The armed protectors were waging a war on Dark Falz, and Luna, after having spent five years aboard the fleet as a civilian, wanted revenge on the monster. Since she was still considered a child at 15 years old, they would not let her fight, so she snuck into the force's ranks by disguising herself as a military Cast and lying about her age. Whilst she was on the force, Luna painstakingly trained with her late grandfather's vintage sniper rifle until her aim was flawless. This proved pivotal in the final battle against Falz, as Luna was the one who struck the final blow: a monstrous .700-caliber right between its topmost anterior eyes. Falz was sealed away for good, and Luna was heralded as a heroine. The very next day, however, she disappeared without a trace, never to return to her home universe.

Luna says that she is "jerked around" through time and space to fight Dark Falz. This is not her doing; in fact, she wishes it would stop. Soon after a universe is rid of darkness, Luna falls into a deep sleep. She doesn't remember how or when she falls asleep, but she theorizes that some sort of rift swallows her up. She then awakens in an entirely different place several years (possibly centuries) later, often damaged due to aging. Ragol, Earth, and the Gurhal system are just a few of the many places she's awakened in, and by far some of the most pleasant.

This time around, Luna's core memory has become partially corrupted, ruining her combat drivers. Before coming to the Oracle fleet, Luna had reached her maximum potential in combat -- her aim was absolutely flawless, and she was capable of handling outrageously destructive weapons. Now, though, she has to recover her skills by using them -- i.e. going out and fighting all over again. [SPOILER]When Luna levels up, she is actually recovering power that she has lost. Sometimes this insane former prowess will shine through when Luna is severely injured or distressed in combat; she has been known to mow down entire mobs of Darkers by headshotting them with twin machine guns. When Luna panics, her aim generally does get worse, but in an extreme state of stress, the entire world slows down for her, and everything is "lucid and clear". In this state, she can hit absolutely anything in range and in her line of sight with 100% accuracy.

Recently, Luna has recovered almost all of her former skill with firearms, but has begun to develop an affinity for techniques. It's anyone's guess how she'll use this new power.

Since Luna hates and fears Dark Falz, she hates and fears Darkers. Luna will go berserk around the black, insectoid creatures-- she may try to stay calm, but this always fails, and she turns into a reckless savage. This has gotten her Moon Atomized more times than anyone can count.

The story so far:
Luna, who blew through the basic training like it was a kindergarten spelling test, was placed in a partnership with Afin, a less-than-promising Newman ranger. They were sent to Naberius for their first mission, but this went awry when Darkers appeared in droves and Code D was enacted. Luna ended up going crazy and nearly got herself killed. Both were fortunately saved by Zeno, a veteran ARKS, and taken back to the ship once the Darkers were dealt with.

Personality/Character:

Luna is kind, if a little bit snarky, and everything she says tends to be to the point. She's known for coming up with funny, unusual euphemisms and analogies, and her language is often colorful. Luna can be shockingly foul-mouthed even though she appears innocent and sweet, but she is inconsistent about it: usually, the worst things that come out of her mouth are either said in anger, in surprise, or to be funny, and she never curses to be rude or insulting (except to monsters).

Her quirky euphemisms and analogies, and her gung-ho attitude when it comes to killing things, make her very interesting to be around on the battlefield.

Backstory:

[SPOILER-BOX]リール doesn't have much memory of his early childhood. All he knows is that he was the sole survivor of an accident on the cargo ship his family used to run. He was found by a salvage team, and was taken in by Roscoe, a portly older man that ran an interplanetary outpost (basically a rest-stop for spaceships) called Star-Mart. Once リール became a little older, he learned to cook, to perform minor repairs on ships and perform maintenance around the outpost. His life was pretty simple but fulfilling. Roscoe couldn't provide him with the best education but he was good-hearted and cared very much for リール. It was the closest thing to a father that he could remember. Unfortunately Roscoe became ill and passed away shortly after リール turned 17. The outpost ended up getting bought by some large fuel corporation, and リール was ordered to find another place to live within 2 weeks.

With no family to turn to and nowhere to go, he swallowed his grief and decided to join the ARKS. He would've failed the exam, but an examiner had recognized him from the few times he'd stopped over at Star-Mart and took pity on リール, the nice boy who always remembered how he liked his coffee and who always took his shoes off before going on board the examiner's rock hopper (a small, personal commuter ship) to change the air scrubbers. He allowed him in, but only as a Level 1 Hunter.

リール knew very little about Photon Arts despite his newman heritage, and had never even stepped foot on a planet before. He was both afraid of and excited by this new chapter in his life. He'd have to start from the beginning and try his best every single day and hopefully not die.

Upon the tour with Afin shortly after arriving (and who he soon realized he'd developed somewhat of a crush on), and upon his first battle during training, he was never more terrified in his life. But soon he found he actually enjoyed fighting and found it pretty exhilarating. He knows quite a bit more about Photon Arts now and is even training to learn Force skills in his spare time. He hopes to make friends and become a worthy contributor to the cause.

Backstory: (I've always fancied my chance at doing something like this, some artistic licence may be used in regards to the events within the actual pso story - it might be abit long, so yeah :3)
[SPOILER-BOX]Nina was born as an only child, with her parents working within the hunter guild of pioneer 2. Her father was a mid-level hunter within the guild and as such never went on the first response emergency calls (He deemed it too risky, for his daughters sake). Her mother worked as a field medic, within the same group. Nina was born shortly after dark falz was destroyed, and piece returned to the planet ragol. (Or so, everyone thought)

Whilst growing up, Nina always preferred to keep to herself, she was fascinated by the past and she considered reading old folklore stories and history books far more interesting and important then spending time outside or making friends. By the age of 9 she was starting to show the same flare for photon artes as her mother did, and as such was encouraged to attend the academy for photonic artes. However, one day while trying to master the 'Rafoie' spell, something she considered easy, but was a highly technical spell, she wasn't able to contain the power and as such burnt the classroom down. The unfortunate thing during this event, her teacher took the full impact of the spell and died afew days later, this caused Nina to abandon anything to do with photon artes - much unlike other newmans who specialised in that field.

At the age of 15, pioneer 3 arrived at ragol. Nina considered this a new start, as the hunters guild was effectively absorbed into a new organisation called "arks". Pioneer 3 is now the lead ship of the oracle fleet. She applied and was accepted into the arks training program among the first picks, she was still withdrawn and kept herself to herself and as such found teamwork hard to accomplish. The 3 years of training flew by, with Nina passing most classes to an acceptable level, graduation came and she was officially recognised as a full member of the arks squad. She was then assigned to a team on ship "geofu" (7) with her boyfriend David, whom she met whilst on the program.

During her first arks mission on the planet neberius, her and David came under siege by a Dark ragne that appeared. Nina, being terrified of such a creature suddenly appearing was paralysed in fear, the ragne noticed this and went for Nina. David saw this and jumped towards Nina to push her out of the way of the attack, however David was too slow and instead got himself scythed in half by the powerful front pincers of the ragne. Nina saw this and a blood-lust descended, she now didn't care what happened to her and kept attacking the ragne, regardless of her previous fear, unfortunately the ragnes armour was too strong, thus her attacks did little to nothing to hurt the giant darker. Fortunately, two veteran arks named Zeno and Echo came after afew minutes and lent assistance to the grief stricken hunter and the battle was won, but it was a hollow victory for Nina, as she had lost her love and she felt half of herself being torn away alongside the ragne as it was disappearing into dust.

For the next 5 years, Nina would do everything alone. Missions/client orders/training, she was often quoted as saying "if I mess up on my own, only I have the price to pay" to defend her style of working. However sensing a problem, the arks leadership transferred Nina onto ship "Ur" (2) alongside a new team called Celestial. During her short time there, she has begin to open up and working within a party again. However deep inside, she's still sceptical of other peoples ability's and still prefers going solo on a mission then grouping up with others when possible.

Personality/traits/talents:
[SPOILER-BOX]During her younger years, her personality could be summed up with being 'Cocky(Overly self-confident, more-so)' and 'Carefree' however nowdays she has grown to be rather timid when around other people or when not in battle. She is a very private person in regards to her feelings or thoughts and prefers to keep herself to herself. On the battlefield however, shes completely different - you'll find her on the frontlines, protecting her other party members above even herself.

She is famous for having what most consider a completely reckless style of attacking, using twin daggers and double sabers combined with quick agile movements to stay out of most danger, giving little thought to defending an attack. On the battlefield she acts on instinct alone, which is her biggest weakness - if she sees a chance to attack, no matter how narrow the margin she will always go for it, which more often or not results in her being injured or knocked out completely. One of her pet hates are people mocking her physical prowess just because shes a Female Newman - be careful ;D

Outside of combat, her talents include cooking because "What's the point of living if you cant eat well?". Her Favourite dish is a steak cooked rare, with chips/fried mushrooms and freshly made onion rings.
Her 'Weaknesses' can be covered by anything that's practical or involves creativity outside of cooking and food in general. In combat her weakness is the reliance of only one method of attack, lack of defensive power, stamina and her mindset of attack being the best form of defence.

Personality: He appears stoic and serious but he usually plays the pacifist role within his group of friends. Steadfast and loyal, he also follows a strict code of honor that he lives by. And because he is the eldest among his siblings, he is used to putting their needs (as well as his friends' needs) before his own. Some may call him old-fashioned and there are some aspects of which, he is naive to a fault. He is also incredibly dense when it comes to women.

Background story: For the most part, Agreian and his siblings were single handedly raised by their mother. Her husband had been enlisted to join a space campaign that eventually led to his disappearance. He is, until this day, presumably dead.

Their mother's rapidly declining health over the years led Agreian to take over the house chores in her stead when he was 16, also leaving him in charge of monitoring his younger siblings. Over time, it proved to be difficult to keep up with the expenses despite the part-time and odd jobs the siblings put together, especially with their mother's medical expenses.

It wasn't until they met Miss Dia, a mysterious woman who presented Agreian with her business card. In exchange for his cooperation, he would be able to let himself and his siblings continue with their training in the Arks Academy as well as have this strange sponsor take care of the medical expenses of his mother, at a price. One that Agreian has yet to divulge. [/SPOILER-BOX]

Personality: Prefering to work alone, he dislikes people who hinder or get in the way of him fulfilling his objectives. He's a little too direct and blunt when it comes to criticizing his peers, and it causes people to dislike him. But he does gets the job done and is quite capable with firearms. When things don't go right, despite his constant complaining, he still makes sure everyone gets out alive.

Background story: Zerius' consciousness came to life in a private laboratory. He has no recollection memories other than when he had awoken. He was told that he was an Arks who suffered from a fatal casualty in the line of duty and his body had been broken beyond repair so he was granted Cast parts.

The amnesia must be a side effect of the transition. The woman in charge of his repairs and maintenance continues to monitor him from time to time to make sure he is stable and no other side effects occur. Zerius merely refers to her as "D". She radios him directly to his ear piece at times to check up on him and his progress. He gets annoyed at times and sometimes snaps back at her rudely despite whoever is listening to their conversation on his end.

I never knew about this topic till yesterday. So here are my three characters (all under separate accounts so I'll list which is which). I'll add more info on them and maybe costume pics at a later time. For now, I just wanna get a post in here. Also, yes my sig is outdated at the time I'm posting this topic (I'll remove this sentence once I update it).

I'm a much better dodger on Karyna with the phasing that forces/techers can do (rather than ranger/gunner rolls and hunter/fighter stepping). I'll also cancel a tech with a phase dodge (but that's just a style choice :p)

Playing-Style: Maxed out Weak Bullet and Weakness Attack. So if it's a big foe, I'll try to save my 4 bullets till they're needed (using PAs when I have enough PP). On normal enemies I tend to keep moving and even jump around the foe (the lilipan mecha have their weak spots on their tops after all). I'm a huge fan of spread shot and sniping shot but I tend to fire off grenade shots before closing in on enemies or if they're grouped up. Also, as I'm subclassing Techer, she'll be going for maxing out shfita, deband, and resta long with PP Restore 1. I consider this build a support build so she can back up anyone (well, once I get things leveled).

Of course, I will use my Doublesaber when it makes more sense (jumping around on Vardha is stupid as hell after all), but I tend to only use knuckles for COs that require it (not that I dislike them).

Character Background Story: Long story short as long as the "Darkest Of All Evil" exists so too shall his spirit and has been there from the Ragolian to the fall of the Gurhal System and now aboard the ARKS Colony. But for those wanting this soul's story have at it.

Millenniums ago Vin was a Human male Force of the Oran Section of the Hunter's Guild aboard Pioneer Two his mission was to investigate the site where Pioneer 1 once resided at and two to which was a personal mission he chosen to undertake for Principle Tyrell's well being was to find his only child the legendary Red Ring Rico. All was going well until his mission led him to a dark damp ruins where he not only discovered what caused Pioneer 1's disappearance but a great nightmare to all of humanity and life and helped in defeating. Choosing to not live the life of a celebrated hero he resumed his search for Rico never to finding any traces or clues but eventually he stopped the search. Later in his life he knew his time was up and Vinny asked Nidra to preserve his spirit should humanity need him or Dark Falz ever show its face again.

Character Traits: Vin has a laid back and friendly attitude (Can be a bit on the serious no joking around side but is) very welcoming to most and at times very over protective of the people and things (s)he values most, very flirty and follows and ancient code of honor.

Background/Personality: Despite her small stature, Komugi carries a strong will and a violent streak. Even as a frail-bodied Technique-user, she prefers to take point and draw enemy fire, calling out to her comrades that if they slip up, she'll beat them up herself. Even so, Komugi never follows through on this promise, and casts recovery Techniques for her comrades often while berating them for their "carelessness."

She refuses to hold back in a fight; she disregards weaker enemies and obliterates them without prejudice. Against stronger opponents, she swarms them with explosive Techniques, hoping that they'll be an interesting quarry. After fighting against several Clone ARKS, she's come to the conclusion that the only opponent who could pose the challenge she desires is herself. Every mission that doesn't result in a Darker abduction raises her anxiety a little bit more.

Off-duty, she enjoys dressing in costume. She's often seen sortieing while dressed in some ridiculous outfit or even casual wear (though this may be due to arrogance). Her nurse outfit appears to be the real deal though, indicating that she might have once been a medic. What could have caused her preference to change from being a back-line healer to a front-line battle maniac? There are only theories.

Background: Yurima hails from the planet Amoria, a world where technology and magic co-exist in (shakily) peaceful harmony. One day, one of her friends was testing out a teleportation device when it malfunctioned and sucked her in, warping her onto one of the many ships of the Oracle fleet. Stranded in unfamiliar space with no immediate way to return home, Yurima joined the ranks of the Arks in the hopes that she might find her way back home.
For reasons unknown, Yurima was suddenly reassigned to another ship, without so much as a reason why. Catching wind of this, Iphriana Dirkalan, one of the agents of the Order of Arolskia in charge of finding Yurima, sent warning to another agent, Ohata, who managed to make contact with and befriend the stranded Amorian. Unfortunately, Ohata lost contact with the Order shortly before finding her, so she remains stranded, albeit with a friend to keep her company.

Recently, Yurima encountered Runchiyo Tsumenogi, who initially considered her to be suspicious (despite being suspicious-looking, herself). Despite a tense confrontation, Yurima vehemently denied knowing anything about Runchiyo's lost friend [SPOILER](realizing partway into the interrogation that she actually [SPOILER]did, in fact know who Runchiyo was looking for). Yurima's been watching her back ever since, suspecting that Runchiyo would go to great lengths to get the information she wanted, but so far, she hasn't seen the strange, depressed-looking girl ever since.[/SPOILER-BOX][/SPOILER-BOX]

Personality: Ohata is a strange girl, considering that she had the complete personality of a cat when she was originally discovered. Some days, she acts like a pseudo-ordinary pre-teen girl (as ordinary as a part-feline girl can be, anyway). Other days, she acts a thrill-seeking adventurer, becoming increasingly more carefree and reckless, and she exhibits her feline traits more frequently. There are even some days when she goes through both modes.
Background: [SPOILER-BOX]Originally a specimen from an unscrupulous artificial lifeform experiment, the Order of Arolskia, led by the enigmatic Teramui, brought Ohata under their wing after discovering her on a routine "suspicious activity" investigation. Upon request from her official caretaker, she was inducted into the Neocrus Special Forces, where she grew fond of the younger members.

Eventually, the Oracle fleet was spotted within range of the Order's Amorian base of operations. Once word reached the Order that a teleportation accident occurred on Amoria and the destination was traced to the Oracle fleet, Teramui sent Ohata to infiltrate the Arks organization to search for the missing Amorian, Yurima Yukirushi. Iphriana Dirkalan, who is also working on this investigation, warned her that Yurima transferred to the ship she was assigned to, and sure enough, the two met and became fast friends. Unfortunately, contact with the Order and the Neocrus was lost shortly before this event.

Runchiyo Tsumenogi, another "out-of-place" Arks member discovered recently, accidently overheard Ohata absent-mindedly wondering aloud about what kind of reward Jonathan Dirkalan would give her for completing the mission. Despite tailing the carefree feline for some time, Runchiyo has yet to get any information about Dirkalan from her. Someone even seems to be interfering with her plans, going so far as to keep the two from meeting face-to-face.[/SPOILER-BOX]

It's not that she doesn't innately trust other people, but she fears persecution for not being a naturally-born human. She's a rather motherly/sisterly figure once she opens up to you.
Background: Iphriana is an artificially-created human, enhanced with cybernetic implants and created from the genes of a special few. Jonathan Dirkalan, the leader of the Neocrus Special Forces, took her under his wing as a step-sister. Under the employ of the enigmatic Teramui, she is tasked to investigate reports of a large fleet roaming around in a nearby, uncharted region of space. Although familiar with the high-profile people of Amoria, she somehow failed to encounter Yurima during the course this reconnaissance mission before she was transferred to another ship.

Personality: No one knows what Risylphe's personality was originally like before she was transformed into a CAST, but as it currently stands, she is as cold and calculating as a machine. She seems to show emotion at times, but no one knows if this is deliberate or if it's merely a malfunction. Arks members have witnessed her go berserk in the presence of Darkers, which is likely related to the incident which almost took her life when she was human.
Background: Risylphe nearly died in an incident where Darkers attacked the ship she called home. Although she ordinarily would've died due to the severity of her injuries, high-ranking scientists performing top-secret experiments managed to salvage what was left of her consciousness and transplanted it into the body of a CAST that was designed in her image. She is now under the employ of the Arks under the guise of a new recruit, but it is merely a cover for field-testing their experimental creation that seemingly wishes to exact vengeance against the Darkers.

Interestingly, interaction with her fellow Arks members seems to be planting the seeds of humanity with her mechanical heart once more, and recently, she seems to be slowly showing emotions other than hatred.[/SPOILER-BOX][/SPOILER-BOX]

Background: Teranu is a particularly unusual example of Newman. Androgynous in appearance and possessing incredible physical aptitude far in advance of her peers, she is a model hunter and one of the greatest assets in the ARKS ESF.
Some speculation suggests that her unusual ability is borne from well before she was even birthed: her mother fell into a devastating car accident while the she was still in the womb, the trauma of which would have ordinarily caused a miscarriage. Somehow, however, she managed to survive and birth a surprisingly healthy baby - Or at least, healthy on the surface.
In truth, Teranu became one of the most intelligent, educated, and driven members of her species in short order, but that did not come without its foibles. She developed many unusual quirks (which will be elaborated on in the personality report), some of which were beneficial, and some of which... were not. Despite these quirks, she rocketed through ARKS Academy in very short order, eventually moving to the ESF division by way of instructor recommendation.
The motivation for her astronomical rise in power may lie within her childhood, which was inundated with all sorts of inspiring heroic stories, delivered through all types of media (books, comics, the internet, movies, anime, etc). She may have dreamed of becoming a being that others told such stories of. Some of her classmates say that she believed she could "do better" (and indeed, she has - at least in some instances).
Her parents were ordinary citizens - not members of the ARKS - and had to deal with quite a few troubles in their time, including a divorce and a very tight income that saw them struggling to maintain a home. She may have dreamed of a better and more fruitful future for herself, which itself gave her a strong motivation to compete and succeed.
During her time in the academy, she displayed a tremendous will to succeed that saw her pushing her unusually small body to the edge several times. She was respected by her peers for her willingness to help others elevate themselves, though she was also feared for her intense musculature and outrageous (for a Newman especially) combat skill. She would often overwhelm her classmates in combat training, a facet that saw her graduated in very short order purely for the safety of her peers.
To this day, she has seen several successful tours of duty and demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for the chaos of close quarters combat. However, she has also borne witness to tragedy, with the loss of several close comrades weighing heavily on her mind. Still, she soldiers on, the looming threat of the Darkers outweighing any of her personal misgivings.

Personality: Teranu's most well-known for her pragmatic and extremely laid-back attitude. She takes things in stride, even when faced with setbacks that would send others into fits. Her extraordinary patience has contributed greatly to her rise among the ranks, allowing her to calmly analyze situations even during the heat of constant battle. Oddly enough, despite the nature of the enemy, she often carries respect for them, even for the worst of the Darkers.
Her pragmatism extends across the whole of her life, and is the reason she carries herself in such an androgynous manner. She cuts her hair short to reduce the weight and keep it out of hazards (especially fire); she generally wears light clothing to keep her mobility at maximum (especially as she is fairly fragile and, like all ARKS, relies on units to protect her instead); her remarkably chiseled physique is a result of regular and smart (but not particularly harsh) physical training.
[SPOILER]What is more unusual, however, is her attitude towards sexuality. It may be an extension of her general attitude in life, but she is okay with many things that ordinary people are not, and she herself does not make a habit of turning down solicitations. She also possesses an unusually strong libido, a facet that has not gone unnoticed by her peers. This has been a distressing point for some ARKS commanders, who view her behavior as disruptive to troop cohesion.
A frequently more sticky point is her attitude towards bigoted behavior: she is relentless in her condemnation of such, to the point where she will outright refuse to work with ARKS members who have a history of less-than-stellar civilian behavior. This trait is explained by herself often being the target of personal attacks due to her androgynous appearance. She also possesses an unusually high level of empathy that can actually be detrimental. In some instances this can lead to outright brawls as she seeks to defend marginalized individuals.
Unsurprisingly, she possesses great pride in her abilities and will frequently wear as little as she can get away with for the express purpose of showing off her well-honed physique. Even so, she is not without humility, and recognizes that she still has a long way to go before she can achieve her personal peak.

Miscellaneous:
- LOVES meat, and will go out of her way to add meat to her meals whenever possible. Respect the food chain.
- Has an unusually low pain tolerance. She will go to extreme lengths to avoid incoming damage, and can be knocked out surprisingly quickly by dark techniques.
- As an extension of her low pain tolerance, she particularly dislikes creatures that sting, and will actually begin to sweat in the presence of such.
- Has a preference for large weapons, a trait particularly unusual among newmans (who prefer agile fighter weapons to synergize with their wiry physiques).
- Particularly loves partisans. Unsurprisingly, she has a small collection of these.
- While her pride in her physique is not unusual, she is also proud of her flat chest. Her reasons for such are largely pragmatic (a given, considering her physical activity), and she hopes to be a good confidence booster for less-than-endowed women across the ORACLE fleet.
- As an extension of her pride, she will frequently lecture others who show symptoms of envy or issues with their body image.
- Is roommates with Aiza, who is so terrifying to most ARKS members that no one else would accept the opportunity, even with the reduced rent.
- Has a rather extreme preference for the color orange, which she often pairs with black to make it stand out as much as possible. All of her outfits are orange. All of them.
- Has three sisters, of which one is older and two are younger. She has respect for them, but only speaks with the youngest, who happens to be the one who tunes her weapons and units.

Background: The famously aloof Aiza remains something of an enigma to this day. She has no known surviving relatives, and even the circumstances of her birth are obfuscated.
What is known is that she is a very heavily genetically modified variant of Newman. These modifications are responsible for her low apparent age and her incredibly pale skin. It is likely that she was born in an artificial womb or some similar apparatus. It is unknown who raised her during her earlier years, or if she was perhaps "born" at her adult height.
The earliest extant records of her are placed at her first appearance at an ARKS recruiting station 31 years ago. At the time, she was clearly homeless and had no connections to anyone. She was somewhat disheveled and wearing only a shirt two sizes too large for her slight frame. Even then, however, her potential was readily apparent. She demonstrated a calm, collected attitude that belied her personal situation. When grilled by recruiters she answered honestly and very frankly, though she could only answer "I do not know" for many questions referring to her past. It was decided then that she would be taken in, both to give her a place to stay and to help give the burgeoning Force some guidance in controlling and directing her considerable (and very dangerous) powers.
To the surprise of many, she quickly gained mastery in all types of techniques, but showed particular aptitude in dark techniques. Her ability to rapidly (and temporarily) magnify her hatred in the single instant of her casting allowed her to produce megids of intense clarity. Her ability to control her emotions so precisely gave her tremendous advantage in all her endeavors. Her aptitude was so great, in fact, that she was eventually put into training to become an instructor for other up-and-coming ARKS techers, which she eventually underwent and passed with remarkable efficacy, particularly considering her aloof personality.
Today, she spends as much time in the field assisting ARKS in exploration missions with her powerful techniques as she does in classrooms assisting new recruits who show promise and interest in the dark arts. At the same time, however, she is closely monitored due to her power and unusual circumstances.

Personality: It was during her training that she obtained a reputation for being aloof and somewhat callous. She would often point out negative character traits in fellow recruits without consideration for their feelings or social protocol, and though it would sometimes result in retaliation, her powerful, burning scowl left many of her peers unable to retort. What really sealed the deal, however, was her incredible aptitude with dark techniques - she very, very quickly reached mastery with all megid techniques: techniques that consist of dark balls of pure hatred in raw form, whose explosions create unimaginable agony in those that are impacted. This combination of traits led many to believe her to be some kind of psychopath operating on a short leash, one that must be kept at a great distance with eyes on at all times.
In truth, she does not actually display any psychopathic traits (she is certainly no sadist), and actually possesses an above-average level of empathy. Her disregard for the feelings of others is a result of the incredibly high standards by which she holds them by, resulting in her criticism being perhaps a little more earnest than expected. This same trait, however, makes her a very effective instructor, as she is not afraid to provide criticism wherever it is needed and possesses the requisite knowledge to pinpoint problems.
Outside the classroom or the frontier, she is curt, frequently plays the deadpan snarker, and generally keeps a distance from outsiders. Some would say that she is always angry; this is patently untrue, however, as her level of self-control is virtually unimaginable to normal human beings. If she presents an emotional front, it is just that - a front, something she displays specifically to manipulate how others see and feel about her.
Interestingly, she does little to hide her small, almost child-like body, and actually displays it as if it were a point of pride. She tends towards showy outfits like the Eretique Reine, and deflects comments on her appearance like they were harmless drops of rain.

Miscellaneous:
- Though she possesses little in the way of friends, those who are close to her swear by her and are quite loyal.
- Is roommates with Teranu, who is the one person who feels comfortable enough with Aiza to actually live with her. This is possibly become of her extreme physical prowess, but may in fact be because she sees something different about her. Despite the age difference, they get along well enough.
- Is known to have a thing for apples and bananas, and can often be found chewing on one during off hours.
- Possesses incredibly high pain tolerance. However, her body remains quite fragile; her limiting factor, then, is her body, and not her mind.
- Possesses moderately high empathy, and can actually telepathically sense the moods of others to a limited degree.
- Does, in fact, possess unusually pronounced canines (her "vampire fangs", in other words). She is not known, however, to drink or even have a preference for blood.
- Simply does not age. Speculation on the reasons why are rampant. Many scientists seek to study her to understand this trait, but she turns down all comers.
- Prefers the colors violet, red, and black. Violet in particular is near and dear to her heart, due to her techniques being the same.
- Greatly respects strength and competence, and will defer to the judgement of those who prove themselves more qualified than herself. This can sometimes include even her own students.

She's meant to be a failed clone experiment by a crazed scientist. One thing that's always been a part of Terra is the eye- I made up a backstory that she lost an eye from acid spray back in PSO (hence the eyepatch). PSU didn't allow an eyepatch without a hat so I had to use a hairstyle that covered one eye instead (even if it was technically the wrong eye). Back in PSO2 and we still don't have eyepatches, so she now has a scar over one eye (which is meant to be an advanced artificial one that shows enemy lifesigns and so on). The whole idea behind Terra is that she's made the best of a bad situation.

Background: Shiori was first made in PSU as a Masterforce or Fortetecher but did also go Gunmaster for a while. Her backstory was originally that she was an instructor for one of my other characters in PSU (Teika, who was my main character in PSO). Teika goes missing, becomes vessel for the SEED unwillingly and Shiori ends up having to get a team together to kill her, which doesn't end well for Shiori. Background:Yuri is at first sight is just your ordinary young-adult but more profound and well built than your average female which she takes pride in able hold her own in pretty much any given situation. At the age of 4 she lost her parent's to a darker outbreak and tried her best to protect them earning a very apparent scarring on her place above and between her nose and eyes which she doesn't hide at all rather she wear's her scars with pride earning her many title's (see above).
She was then orphaned and has lived out her days blaming herself for how weak she was and not being able to protect her parents whom she didn't spend enough time with to make any good memories. Soon she learned about the Arks Federation seeing how they strive to protect those who are dear to them did nothing more but motivate her to do the same.
Thus she began her daily workout routine giving her the results you see today and she is a heath but at heart.
At age 19 she took it on her own accord to leave and apply for the Ark First Division Defense Force and as expected pass the Arks Training course with flying colors though with some minor set backs on her part ( I will explain this in her personality chart later on)she has been lectured a lot on many cases and has taken heed to learn form it though it still happens from time to time.
She has earned many male friends due to her prowess on the battle field and and being able to take quite the thrashing, and has earned many female admirers as the result of helping and or saving them from near death experiences.
Yuri to this very day hopes to keep doing her best to protect and safe guard those who need it, and hopes that her parent are watching over her as watching how much there daughter has improved over the yrs to come.

Personality: Yuri is your practical Otenba and holds a very stern,cold, silent persona she doesn't really talk much giving her comrades a lot of one worders which she is well known for, and usually addresses her teammates with rather harsh comments that are the truth in fact and this is rare of her as it's the only time you wont get a one worder from her.
Giving her state she believe you can't think straight if your worked up thus giving her the edge she needs to carefully slay her enemies and outline the situation accordingly to the cause and this has won her much praise over her yrs in the Arks Defense Force.
Yuri love's a good brawl and loves pushing her body to its limits she is always the first one in front of the whole squad slaying enemies, but there have been some battles where the enemy was on equal footing as her and she has attained deep respect for each and every one of them.

Miscellaneous:
-LOVES meat and her whole diet revolves around nothing but meat along with a protein and will do anything it takes to have it. This has led to many outburst particularly on Yuri's fault.
-Dislikes talking about her past or the scar on her face as she does not like re-calling old memories.
-Loves large weapons her favorite being the 2Handed sword and wears it like it's it part of her body and soul.
-Has a very preferred color of white and black giving her a dark yet calm beauty to those who are around her.

Background: A lonely girl who was abandonned on the planet of Admuscia as a child. She grew up being raised by the Dragonkin who were living there. Although she has no formal education, she is very intelligent due to the Dragonkins' teaching. She has been helping them in their fight against the Dragonkin who have suddenly become violent. When the ARKS first found her, she was initially hostile to them due to not knowing they meant no harm. After she found out that they were allies, she easily befriended them. She later joined the ARKS to try to help stop the Dragonkin from becoming violent.

Personality/Traits: She is very protective and cautious due to her upbringing. She has an unnatural obsession with the Dragonkin. Sometimes she will craft weapons from her fallen foes. She wishes one day that she would be able to fly like the winged dragons she knows.
She prefers to used ranged weapons, but she is not afraid to get up close and personal with melee weapons. She is not good with technics however.

Nickname: Rawr-a? I don't really have any except the one between my girlfriend and I that we use since I played as a beast in PSU. <_<

Backstory; Didn't think too much about it since I don't RP, but I like to think that Aura is some sort of thug-life grown newman who had to learn to fight for herself when young, who would explain the latter proficiency with melee weapons and her choice to hybridice as a Force/Hunter. That or some sort of tragic even while her Arks trainee times where she failed to protect some loved one and then decided to "strenghten" herself by going the hybrid way.

Backstory:
[SPOILER-BOX]The youngest of three daughters, Natsune is a descendant of a long bloodline of skilled marksmen. Although Natsune and her sisters underwent rigorous training, their father prohibited them from joining the ARKS wanting them to have a peaceful life. Natsune's father was a famed archaeologist who disappeared abruptly during an expedition investigating a mysterious formation in the heart of a tundra on Nebarious. Having heard of her father's disappearance from a survivor of the expedition team, Natsune and her sisters took the ARKS entrance exam despite of their father's wishes. The girls passed with flying colors, but in the heart of their entrance ceremony, they only had one thing in their heads: find out what happened to her father.

Despite being fellow ARKS operatives, the girls were separated from each other to partake in different missions suited to their skills. Natsune was assigned to a beginner's mission on Nebarious much to her dismay. A recruit named Afin was assigned to be her partner for this mission. After departing from the Campship, the pair ran into an unusually hostile Oodan. Afin challenged Natsune in a shooting competition where the first to take down the hostile native wins. Natsune allows Afin to take the first shot with his rifle. With the Oodan in his sights, Afin holds down the trigger. His rifle fires a hose of bullets at the Oodan before the recoil completely overpowers him. Natsune giggled at the sight of Afin's handling of his rifle. "What are you doing? Not one of your shots connected!" She remarked. "Come on, partner! It's harder than it looks!" Afin responded in a disgruntled tone. "Let me show you how you handle a gun." Natsune said with a smirk. A single gunshot thundered through the trees as flocks of birds flew away. The Oodan was launched backwards, leaving the ground under it a dark crimson. Natsune coiled her arm, bringing her rifle to her shoulder. "You're not supposed to hold down the trigger when the enemy is at that ran-"

The space around Natsune and Afin became warped and distorted. Multiple tears in reality surrounded them as multiple insect-like creatures leaped. One of the creatures charged at Natsune, bringing down it's front leg upon her. Natsune used her rifle to block the creature's attack but the limb shears her rifle in half and tears into her leg. An anguished cry filled the air as Natsune fell onto the ground. "Code-D is in effect! Multiple Dagan-class Darkers has been detected on Nebarious!" Natsune's earpiece echoed. "Partner!" Afin's voice shrieked. The Dagans shifted their attention towards Afin upon hearing him. He was frozen in fear as his eyes gazed upon the Dagans strutting towards him. "Afin!" Natsune screamed. "Throw me your rifle!" Afin glanced at his rifle, contemplating whether or not to open fire. "JUST DO IT!" Natsune ordered.

With all his strength, Afin tossed his rifle at Natsune. Landing next to her, Natsune grabbed Afin's rifle and rolled onto her stomach. The rifle's muzzle flashed orange repeatedly as the Dagans' crimson cores bursted open. After a few seconds, a quiet click was heard as the Dagans' bodies dissipated in a sanguine dust. Natsune gazed upon Afin running towards her as she slowly lost consciousness.

Some time after the Darker incident on Nebarious, Natsune followed in the expeditions' footsteps, collecting any data that the expedition team left behind. Listening to some of her father's audio logs, she noticed him mentioning a mysterious masked figure several times. She also took note of her father mentioning Darker presence significantly increases when the masked figure is in the vicinity. After heading into the expedition's last known location, she finds a bloodied audio log within a rundown research outpost. She gasped in horror as she hears the sounds of men being massacred in the distance. One of her father's assistant mentioned a masked man coming towards them with a sword. Another assistant pleaded her father to get to safety. Before the the log cut off, she heard a new distorted voice, a man screaming, and the sound of a photon blade.

Natsune looked into the distance and saw a swarm of El Ahdas and Breeahdas flying towards the strange monument the expedition was researching. Readying her firearms, she knew what she must do: Find the masked man... and end him!
