Is PSO2 under maintenance right now because i cannot seem to log in.

No, I am definitely online. Maintenance is later tonight (in roughly 10ish hours from this post).

I already made my account and did the registration service thing.
I log on into the game but an error keeps on coming up, i think it has to do something with an invalid SEGA ID, because it is a whole bunch of japanese characters with SEGA ID mixed in there.

Your Sega ID can only be lower case letters (even if you registered with capital letters iirc), other than that it's hard to diagnose from here. At least give us an error number or a screenshot of the message.

A little bit more input would be nice.

You either have the wrong PW which is highly unlikely but you probably didn't register your account when you signed up. And then when you go to click the link now it will ask you to input Japanese characters that you don't have probably don't have access to/know.

Just my guess.

P.s. Just go on youtube and follow the instructions on how to sign up properly.... Which you're clearly having a hard time with...

It usually ends around midnight-ish (or 3 am-ish for east coast)
which is 3-ish hours from now

Gonna lose some sleep tonight........Gee i wonder how much of my mortality i lose by not sleeping a full 6 - 8 hours a night. Reads article:
