Why do people toss a name on something and not supply a picture or some way to identify it. It might as well have stayed in Japanese because there is no way to identify it. . . they name something and I'm supposed to guess if its a monster or a drop.
(Main point) Now, what are gilnas? The 5 I'm supposed to find for the sub class quest.

Gilnas is the big robot thing in Mines and Desert that disassembles into parts when you defeat it.

You lose, Ollie.

The tall, gray robots in Mines and Desert that break apart into torso/legs/core when you "kill" them the first time.

Those robots that split into 3 enemies when they explode. Found in Desert/Mines

You know what a gilnas core is correct? It is those white robots who roam around and when you hit them enough it'll break into three parts. The core, the torso, and the legs. Breaking it into those pieces will count as you defeating a gilnas.

As others said, Gilnas are the humanoid grey robots that separate into 3 parts. If you have problems identifying an enemy in the future, you can use this page, it has a list of enemies in the game:

I'm confused to what is the source of rage here.

He is likely at level 20 and has the Subclass quest, but probably hasent encountered a Gilnas in Desert yet. Easy on him.

Thanks. Rage coming from looking something up for long periods of time and there being nothing at all.

For what it's worth, I literally found it in 10 seconds after googling "pso2 gilnas" and looking at image results.

While everyone's shitting on OP to grab their free cool points.

I'll just add that they're extremely rare in free mines, but I think one of the mines mission before free mines, they're REALLY common.

Should probably mention that they only show up as rare enemies during the desert run, unless it's the trick or treat emergency mission.

Either you're lying or your google search is better than mine.

It probably showed you "gilneas" instead.

Assuming he only reached 20 as that is around the time you get the Client Order to kill 5 Gilnas' Mines won't be available. Just wander around the second area of Desert Free Exploration until you get a Code: Attack.

I think they don't appear at all in free mines, but yeah, they're rather common in the 2nd and 3rd mines quests.

I thought that too while making the mistake of trying it, but apparently(or at least from what I've heard, iono)

They have like a 1/100 rate of appearing.

But yeah I don't know, they may as well not appear at all.

If you see a player by the name "gigawuts", that is also a Gilnas; an alternate and still counts toward Client Order.

Gilas I've always called Dubchichs as they act like the ones from PSO, somewhat.

They will always be Gilchics for me, even though the Gilnas are more like Dubchics with their ability to reparate like terminators zombie robots, you had to destroy their operating core

There are some enemies that only appear in area 1 and since no one ever wants to farm area 1 they pretty much don't exist. I believe Gilnas are one of those enemies.

While this is still active, is there any way to change the color of armor. Kind of bought a yellow Heretic Lord and wanted to change it red. x_x

I call the healing ones Gilchics. They got the same head shape and all.
Gilnas are somewhat like the Dubs due to the fact that both of them you have to kill and the only 2 ways to destroy the Dubchic is to either break it up a ton of times or destroy the main device controlling it.
Gilnas it's the same thing, just replace Device with Core. As they're always repairing themselves with their core.

You'll have to just buy a red version, pretty much
