Why does everyone like Demolition Comet in PSO2? Surely it's outclassed by something?

Only one weapon outclasses it right now and Sir Fang Bang is the one who drops it

Surely he would be an easier hunt(difficulty wise not appearance drop rate wise)?

I never seen one, used one, or had one.
So I can't say I like it or want it.

I'm waiting for Sega to give me my Guld Milla back.

Demo Comet is a PSO1 legacy weapon. Those photon blades shredded things alright lol

"Now please sega give me DoubleCannon whenever ultimate is available"

Demo Comet looks terrible in this game. You might be surprised how bad it looks in-game, lol.

Is it possible for it to look worse than PSO GC?

If I recall correctly, Ce'Nedra has killed about 20 Gwanda Nero's without having the Demo Comet drop a single time. Either very bad luck, or it's drop rate is just insanely low.

Hmmmm... PSU one looked way better. :/

Kinda sad that neither game got this weapon right. PSU overdid it with the bloom effect (just like every other weapon) so it overtook the design of the weapon's crystal-like blades while PSO2's version seems rather... plain looking in that regard. It's lacking some of the finer detail, which is kind of odd considering the model itself is rendered a lot better. Especially compared to the original PSO version of the weapon. It really comes down to the vastly different photon effects between the 3 games. I wouldn't be surprised if we see this happen with a few more unique looking PSO weapons as they get introduced to PSO2. I will say though that aside from Demo Comet, I don't think we'll run into the awkward photon effect nearly as much as we did in PSU. That game had a habit of making some classic weapons look really bad like the Girasole due to the overbearing photon effect, especially when it came to using the lightning element.

So thatīs how it looks like. I might actually pass on it..just wish they did something special..glow effect or not so it doesnīt look so plain. Bleh.

Otherwise, i were a big fan of it in PSO&PSP2.

Realise that Ce'Nedra just runs for them most of the time and doesn't farm for the 8 drops (as far as I know). This pretty much reduces his drop rate by 400%, thus making his 20 equivalent to 4 S-Ranked Neros.

Besides, 20 Neros for a Demo would be pretty lucky in my opinion, especially considering the boss rate is so high. I wouldn't expect it until like 50 S-Ranked ones.

I barely get 8 drops even when I S-rank them so I kinda ignored S-ranking as it takes way more time. On the other hand so far 6 of the 20 nero's had a 8 item drop circle and NONE were S-ranked.

Oh well, the hunt goes on...I can't wait to use my all time fave PSO1 Double Saber again. Numbers and percentages mean nothing to me, either it drops or it doesn't. So far S-ranking has never ever given me stuff more rares then without S-rank so I'm even willing to call it BS myself.

Well it's not really "Rank" that causes it, it's based on kills alone. I believe that if you kill a boss on the way, it "eats up" the enemies that you've killed and thus resets the point counter to zero (meaning to test this at some point). I have always gotten 8 / 8 / 8 drops from Gwanahdas when I've took my time, and it's always been 4 drops if I've gone straight to the end.

^ basically, kill those swarms of Krahda things in the boss room after downing the first Guwana
