Does anyone know how i can purchase AC cash? Really would love to go premium... Or maybe there's a guide on how to purchase? I hear SOJ does not accept western credit cards anymore..

Thanks in advance

Here's a guide: http://bumped.org/psublog/purchasing-arks-cash-in-phantasy-star-online-2-japan/
If it is a foreign debit card, it probably won't work. As for the mark up, 1000 points should currently be about $12US but Webmoney for that amount runs in the $17US range.

Yeah, the other option is BitCash. Make an account and then you can charge with Visa/Mastercard. And then use bitcash as a payment mothod for AC.

Since this is related, any comment on this?

Bitcash is an online cash system that uses a hiragana code as a kind of card. I haven't tried (since my credit card doesn't work in Japan), but it looks like you can charge with master or visa.

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z88/kion_01/charge.jpg

You then use the hiragana code on your profile as a credit card for online payemnts. So once you log into PSO2.jp You copy this (blacked out area)

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z88/kion_01/bitcash.jpg

Into here after selecting the amount and bitcash

And that's it.

I wish there was an English site that let you do this. All the methods I've seen are ridiculous ~.~ and long winded and difficult to figure out. If they didn't block my payment I'd never be tempted to ever go to the english server. Starting over and with fewer updates? cmon! if anyone knows a better method or at least an english site of some kind please let me know =(

You can always buy Webmoney cards from play-asia; they are a bit more expensive than buying an online code, but i chalk that up to them being physical items. No way to get around the SEGA ID site that you need you actually use to purchase AC, though.

I can't understand why a company wouldn't want money.. lol On JP Psu I never had a issue buying GC on my Credit card.. seems SOJ really hates westerns.. To the point where they don't even want out money. :(

just mentioning, after they quit supporting AmEx, my AmEx card never did get money put back on it like the earlier VISA/MC purchases other people used, which must mean that they got their money, so why SEGAC quit supporting AmEx again???+^_^+ also, can anyone verify bitcash working with American cards?? that one looks semi-cheap compared to the insane markups those WM sites use, just curious cause i might get another pell grant come January+^_^+

I work in fraud and banking for national bank of canada, and merchant services before that.... Questions like these make me want to shoot myself in the face when people act like its so easy to have all of these features available in their systems....

And then the risk side... I'd need to right a book... Anyways, its not that simple folks, and there is tons of money and licenses and systems involved to incorporate a lot of the features you're talking about. Just because say they used to take amex, things change. Also, answering an earlier questions, the only way you could use a debit card is if its a virtual debit which is a newer product where your debit card acts like a credit card enabling online sales :D

Web money is def the only way we can really do it at this point. It cost me about 30 bucks CAD for 2000 ac.

I thought they stopped accepting foreign cards ages ago?
I lost my old account details so I made a new one, unless I'm mistaken you need a registered JP mobile to even charge Bitcash in the first place...

The verification is a joke. I can't seem to do it either by phone or email! When I click the buttons to start the processes, nothing happens.

What a waste of money!

All I've ever done with them is just pay it through Google Checkout and never had a problem :/

Yeah Google Checkout has the least hassle, followed by using a Verified PayPal account. Dealing directly with them using a credit card involves a lot more hassle and, in my opinion, risk.

Is there any way to simply buy it with my credit card? I don't have a paypal and frankly dont want one after seeing them rip my mom off on multiple occasions, and I have no idea what liberty reserve and bank wire is.

Yes, buy it from cn-usa and choose google checkout. You can pay using any credit card and you don't need to go though any sort of verification process despite people saying that you do. Once you purchase it, go into their live chat, tell them your purchase number and they will give you your code if you haven't received it in your email yet.

They in fact, want me to go through some crazy verifying stuff including sending me a broken email link to create a password that doesn't work. Well at least they are gonna refund it, though I'm not sure why they take your money first if they do it that way.

they want me to log in to something I dont have a log in for, verify my location, fill out some phone thing, fill out some email thing, then something else...like wtf.

edit: was looking to sutocorp and someone was talking about needing to send them photo of their id showing their name and address...is this true? Holy hell why is this all so difficult

editedit: having some kind of account issue with cn...they send me email but has no verification, tells me to use forgot password which is an invalid request...

edit again: Ok got into account finally, its blabbing about buying limit not being high enough...anyone know wth this is?

they responded to my ticket pretty fast and sent my code, so all good now. Nice of them to be so quick about it and sort it out.

On unrelated note, I am interested in joining psow team to have people to play with, who do I talk to about that >_>

I did previously so I dont know why its askking me a second time...but its possible I used it on a different sign up and not this one so I probably just forgot which one. Mainly I was being paranoid after having so many random problems crop up. Its all good now.

I guess this is as good a place as any.

I'm trying to register to charge some AC, but I've gotten stuck on this error on the SEGA site. Can anyone help me by translating it so I can fix it?

*BOOP* (http://www.play-asia.com/Web_Money_2000_Phantasy_Star_Online_2_Design_Prepa id_Card/paOS-13-71-y4-49-en-70-58tr.html) The biggest issue with buying these is the fact that they are more expensive than any method of online purchase and you have to wait for the shipping, but, yeah you just input the code from the card to purchase AC.
