I'm guessing that that is a single core processor, so I'm going to assume that it may struggle to even run on minimum settings.

Edit: Honestly, I think the best way for your friend to find out is to find the stand alone character creator so they can run the benchmark test.

I'm guessing that they can't run the game at all. They can't even install it actually. The game will be at 12GBs before the end of the year as I recall too. Otherwise I would guess that they could run it as I seem too recall other questions about that computer saying yes.

If it's an HDD, they might want to consider an SDD... I would guess that this would run it though. Unless it's as old as Dinosaur Bones.

Does he have a dedicated graphic card or is it an onboard?

Does he have a graphics card or is he running it from his PC? Ask him to click on Display and send you a screenshot.

The specs you posted contain no graphic information, which is vital to the game running. He is asking if it has dedicated memory to only video/graphics, or if it is all built into the motherboard. Most laptops, however, have onboard graphics unless otherwise stated.

Also I would guess the opposite, I would think it would be a dual-core, seeing as how it's running 64-bit OS...but, that's not necessarily true. Most definitely do the bench mark, you'll know for sure then =]

We'll he's running it from his laptop.. his graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 3000

Sorry im on the phone with him trying to see if his Lappy can even run PSO2.. so i'm bouncing from forums to web searchs and phone at the same time.. were both not PC tec heads so this is kinda hard ... lol

Yeah, when I posted he hadn't had the picture up yet.

Problem is that they took the benchmark character creator down from the official website (as far as I could tell).

He may be able to with the lowest setting, since he does have a graphic card.

Give him this link, and tell him to click the blue button at the bottom. It will download the character creator/benchmark program. If he can at least get 2000 with the benchmark in the lowest setting, he'll be fine. (Benchmark doesn't have framerate cap.)

That's an integrated graphics card, and that Athlon is a single core.

From what I can tell, if it can run it, your friend will have to reduce everything down to the lowest settings.

Edit: http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/notebook/2009/acer/aspire/Aspire5532/Aspire5532sp2.shtml

These are its specs. According to the graphics card hierarchy chart at Tom's Hardware, the 3200 is a bottom of the barrel card.

If he wants to play the game, he's going to have to run it with extremely low settings and set the resolution window down to something small.
