Has anyone encountered one yet?

I asked my teammates and they didnt even know anything about this! does no one care to know what 1.5GB of update give you? lol

But yeah I am curious as to what the teleport looks like and all.

I'd assume either some weird sparkly teleport or a regular teleport.

I'm envisioning a rainbow-colored teleporter, like how it was in PSP2/i, but that's just a theory.

That leads to 5 fang bathers clawing your face off at the end of that fanciful rainbow.

Which is also a guess on my part.

Bump!

Information about Parallel Worlds:

- Can only appear in SINGLE PARTY AREAS only. Not for MPAs. Also known as: Only appear in Arks Quests and Emergency Quests.
- A SE plays when a teleporter spawns (do not know when it actually plays)
- Can appear in any map, I believe.
- When you go to a Parallel World, you are presented immediately with a code that contains only rare enemies. Here are some example Codes:

- 1 Banther Oran with 10 Rogbelts.
- 1 Crys Draal along with 10 Diggnuts
- 2 Transzexias
- 10 of the Rare Mantis Enemy along with a Dark Agrani or Rare Zesh

When you clear the code, you simply leave and carry on with what you were doing.

PS: The Rare Mantis enemy drops ~~LAMBDA ARDILLO~~

Parallel world hunting? lol

DoubleCannon
Dec 7, 2012, 11:14 AM
wtf single party areas only!? thats just crap. Now many are going to not be in mpa's and hunting for demo which is already nearly impossible just got squashed now that no one is gonna want to play the free desert. I just do not understand why they can not spawn in an mpa! whats wrong with that??

MPA camping is silly enough already as it is compared to other methods of getting things. I think its a good thing they're not making it even more ridiculous.

As for hunting demo... just go kill the boss in desert with multiple people. Way better than just sitting around like that in one place for that if you really want a comet.

My question is, say for example you're heading to fight a boss... Can you get a parallel world instead?

Or is it only SPA's related to quests...Anyone know the details?

This is what I currently do, however on ship 10, desert becomes very playerless after like noon. If parallel worlds had nero gwandha's id be sold! .. they don't though do they? lol

Also do Gwandhas appear in arks quests??

I think so. On the jp wiki some guy said he got gwanadaburu from the rare ore mining one.

Also speaking of gwanadaburu it drops from regular ones and its stronger than the demo comet...

According to a brief post-maintenance message on the official player's site, they've increased the probability of encountering a parallel area for the new "Merry Christmas on Ice" emergency quest (single party area only).

They said they are also looking to increase the frequency of other parallel areas in the future.

Are there any pics of what the teleporters look like? Do they appear randomly or like, as a changeover from a code? How come there is so little information about them?

Clunker
Dec 8, 2012, 01:10 AM
Yeah, I think they need to really ramp up the rate of appearance; I've been on for 12ish hours since the emergency fix, and no on I talked to on Ship 2 had heard of anyone gettin' to a Parallel...

So I was curious about this and did come across this but google translate only works so well so the only thing I caught from this is that it seems what set of rares you get is possibly based on the quest you found it on...
PSO2 JP Wiki's Parallel Area (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%91%E3%83%A9%E3%83%AC%E3%83%AB%E3% 82%A8%E3%83%AA%E3%82%A2)

Also...(unless im misreading it) Any level that has Area 3 Boss like teleporter...it can be replaced with that instead..

Please with someone that understands gives more clairty.

The Parallel area port looks like a telepipe, but shows ???? when you go up to it and it changes colors over time (rainbow porters!)

And yeah, wolgada area 1 parallel seems to be the only one to give you rigushreida.

...Assuming you can even FIND one.

Lets see if I can understand this:
-It appears in the first area (Single Party Area) as a different colored telepie, in a random dead-end
-It also appears in boss room as a different color telepipe also

No, it only appears in single-party areas but NOT the boss room.

And it can be in any part of that area, not just dead ends.

So from looking different and having more rare enemies than usual, is there anything different from a gameplay standpoint? Anything in particular? Difficulty wise perhaps? Or is it another edition of content to give the illusion you have something new but where you are basically doing the exact same thing as usual?

It's just a boss room, but filled with rare enemies instead.

Nothing new at all, nor are they worth hunting, nor are they any "fun". Novelty wore off for me after encountering my first.

I am told of ones that spawn 10 gwana neros.

I would find them worth it...if they spawned in desert free field when I'm already hunting gwanas. But since gwana runs preclude paras, fuck 'em. The single party area limit is pretty arbitrary. Better to make it a single-party code imo.

Having about 5 Signo Blues (if not all 10) slashing in your face at the same time.

But I guess it depends on which rare monster groups you end up with. I don't want to imagine the one that comes with the rare Snow Banshee/Banther.

Whoever told you that is pulling your leg. The only Gwanahda Nero spawn is one rare Wolgahda with one Gwana Nero. If there is another with 10 Neros, it's not part of the Xmas EQ, which means there's no point hunting it.

Right now the only thing on scale with that is 10 Rogbelts, which comes with a Banther Oran.

It's interesting but outside of the Christmas EQ, it's not even remotely productive to hunt for them. The only one I care about is the Bantha/Rogbelt and 9 Signo Blues one, mostly because I never see Signo Blues.

The JP Wiki lists a few confirmed areas with screenshots.

Dagan Forest Extermination

Polluter's Destruction

Subdue the Wolganda etc.

You should try those out.

Also, they appear in single areas only so good luck~!

I'm not absolutely positive, but I am pretty sure the parallel area porter can appear in dead ends. Meaning, if you search A1 of Merry Christmas on Ice you probably will never find it on the straight path from A1 to A2.

If someone has found it on a straight path, and not a dead end fork I would like to see a screenshot because I haven't seen one yet and each one I found and seen was in a dead end.

No, the video definitely shows it at a dead end; just not right at the end.
