Not sure if there is a thread on this or not already but... i gotta say i tried doing Symbol arts for the first time and...its freaking ridiculously hard. Soooo...

This is what happens when i tried messing around with it...

yeh yeh i know it sucks... lolz but it was my first time and i gotta say its not to bad... not to good lolz.... i just dont know how some of the people can do that stuff!!!


Sooo this time i put in a little more work and more dedication to try and finish xD which this is the outcome

anyways those are just a few of my stuff that i did in my spare time... (by that i mean like 15 hours to make this x_x)

The idea is that you want to have a complete drawing before you do the symbol art. Then you just copy the shape of the drawing by putting them in the right position.

It is very difficult to have good result if you try to do the art straight up without any picture to refer to, since the tools are vastly different.

Basically...

1. Open google
2. Search for an image you want
3. save the image and open it
4. load up pso2
5. start making symbol art while looking at the picture back and forth constantly (dual monitor help immensely)
6. spend MANY hours
7. profit

Not always true. I know plenty of people who cant draw but have a lot of free time and they make good SA.
Its amazing because they cant draw for the life of them. It just takes a reference and time.

Everyone has talent, whether it be creating from scratch, building with pre-created pieces, or just straight up copying with their own spin. I for one can draw and create my own but, for some odd reason, can't replicate others work.

Basically, if you want cool symbol art, think of an idea, find references/inspiration, then take time and make it. Also, keep going, if it doesn't look right when you are at 50% completion, it's because you're only half way there!

Now I expect to see some amazing work! =^.^=

EDIT: As someone who draws anime digitally, this is way easier then starting with a blank sheet in coral painter/photoshop >.<

Japanese Symbol Art makers uses some simple software which allow to put an half-transparent copy of picture above of Symbol Art creator's window in-game. So they can easily transfer it in there with minimal changes.
