While the severs are down, help me critic my build Plans! I didn't put this into the Fighter/Force/Techer trees, because these aren't specific to any one tree. Got a couple of Builds in mind:

Purpose: Soloing, Casual Runs, MPAS
Notes: How useful are the PP Restorate / PP Convert in combo? should I take points out of there? I already maxed out Poison Ignition, and should I grab more Poison Boost? I use Poison III Weps right now.

My two cents.

1. Status Effect Fighter

Fighter side is perfect, don't change it. Techer, I don't imagine all those points in PP Convert is necessary; or even needed as a Fighter mained. It would allow you to spam PAs, and support techs; but simply JAing with TE's PP Restorate 10 should satisfy your PP needs, and you wouldn't be spamming out support techs all that often. I think the points in T-Def and PP Convert could be spent on Element Weak Hit, and nearly capping out Poison Boost (although the Poison Boost is questionable. Deadly Archer + Poison III will poison most things very easily)

2. Fire/Lightning Force

It looks mostly fine to me. Just a preference, I'd take out 5 points in Flame Mastery 1 and put that in Tech JA Advance as it would benefit both Fire and Lightning.

3. Support Fighter

Fighter looks fine. Techer, you should take out Just Reversal as you already have that on your Fighter. Territory Burst I feel should be at 1 and nothing more; as all those extra points will only net you an extra 8 seconds which is pretty underwhelming for an additional 4 points. With Just Reversal removed and Territory Burst at 1 for Techer, capping PP Restorate would be a nice idea.

4. Support Force

Can't give an opinion here since it seems to be the Support Fighter link.

As for your Mags, on every build it seems fine. The 50 Dex on Support Force is questionable, but other than that the Mags look good.

Thanks for the reply. A lot of the questionable things come from, well, things already being spent before posting this. Things I would like to change include the 5 points too many in Fire Mastery and my Tech MAG. The PP Convert points were so I could multiclass TE as a sub for FO and FI without getting more AC. I might as well take it out though, since I will be primarily a Fi/Te

PP convert and Restorate work very well together. If I'm not mistaken, the PP from restorate increases the amount gained from convert. If for instance you gain 4x as much PP from convert, with restorate capped you'll gain 4x1.4 = 5.6x PP. Keep in mind, my PP convert is lv3 and I lose about 9 pp per rafoie during rafoie spam, and I don't think my restorate is capped yet. I don't think you'll need to cap Convert in any situation except for fire spam.

Why do fire/lightning? You gain 25% more damage from correct elements if I'm not mistaken, which is the same amount gained from an elemental mastery. I think it's better to put everything in the fire tree.
I think I mathed it out to a 75% boost in overall damage just from the percentage boosting skills on a neutral enemy if everything in fire is capped, if the two charge and mastery skills are capped.

I still find support to be garbage except for very specific situations (downtime between spawns, or right before a boss), so I still find support specs to be worthless. However, if you insist, Deband Cut seems pretty useful (cuts a specific percentage of damage, don't ask me how much). Shifta's boosts are wastes of skillpoints, though.

Poison fighter seems neat, I have to admit. I normally hate hybrid builds because of how much the balance seems to be against them, but it seems like this build isn't all that horrible. I don't think PP convert will be useful, since you can't regain PP during PAs. And it shouldn't be capped, since I don't think you'll ever be able to burn that much PP at once. You should put more points into poison boost.

As for the mags, I'll always keep saying that they're only useful to help equip new items. Past 50 points for the attack and defense types you'll be equipping, anything else is flexible.

That's my opinion on your builds. Take from it what you can.

actually the way it works is restorate changes the frequency at which PP is replenished. By default you regen 5PP/s or 1PP for every .2 seconds (5 ticks in a second) when maxed, restorate increases this to 7 ticks per second.

Convert on the other hand changes how much you get per tick so at lvl 1 instead of 1PP per tick you gain 2. at lvl 3 this becomes 3PP per tick, at lvl 6 it goes up again to 4 and I believe it reaches 5 at lvl 10. The result of combining them is that you regen more pp more frequently. so while you would normally gain 7 PP/s with restorate maxed, with PP convert even at lvl 3 this becomes 21PP/s because of this, most people will tell you you only need to get convert to lvl 3 to get the benefits. This is true unless you have Flame S Charge maxed. PP convert lvl 3 will not be able to keep up with successive fire techs under those conditions, but it's also not likely that you'll be able to toss out techs like that uninterrupted.

At lvl 6, you get 28PP/s which is probably enough to sustain even fire techs.
