It's probably enough for minimum settings, but not enough for standard shaders.

the reply you got was definitely a joke.. PSO2 doesn't have high Minimum requirements. It's well stylized but it doesn't use any real next gen software.

A Radeon 7340 is a really low-end card.

Medium settings at most, IF you're OK with a low frame rate. If you upgraded the video card you could probably max it out pretty easily.

No, it wasn't a joke, the AMD E series are made for netbooks and cheap laptops, and the HD7340 is the graphics chip that is integrated inside the processor.

I'm guessing this is a laptop based on the processor and the integrated graphics card.
Best bet to really check is to download the benchmark program from here:http://pso2.jp/benchmark/ (it's the very last link at the bottom of the page)
Start with the slider down at 1, run benchmark, and if your score is anywhere above 2000 it should run at those settings. Rinse and repeat until you find the shader level that runs best on your PC.

Maybe this, but you would need to get a screen separately:

and if not can someone help me pick one from walmarts *i tried to load it but it would not for me* site that is between 400-530 at the most that could help. my parents got me this and don't want to seem ungrateful about it cause they went through a lot to get this for me this year

if noting on that list what can i buy to upgrade what i have thats not that terribly expensive that will run this. I mainly just plan to use it for pso2 and swtor :/

My old netbook was an AMD e-350. Even putting the game down to 850x480 the game was still really slow loading and especially in the lobby uber slow. AMD's low end cpu's are pretty good at rendering graphics, but don't have the cpu power to run games well.

I upgraded to an intel ultra book with i7-3517U. It's a 17W, same wattage as AMD's but it blows the game away. 1366x768 at a solid 60 fps. Surprisingly the intel HD 4000 can handle HD graphics with a dip in fps (which i have off because it runs much better).

So to anyone who wants to play pso2 on a small computer they can carry around with them for work or college too, I'd stick with intel either at least i5 or i7 tho. And it maybe a little more expensive than netbooks but an extra 100-200 dollars for a computer that doesn't completely suck seems worth the investment. Better than wasting money on a computer you're going to have to replace sooner than later.

Well, since it's a desktop, you could buy a dedicated graphics card, for example, something like this could most likely handle around medium settings or so:

It's not loading for me as well now, so I'm just going to suggest a graphics cards that has rather nice performance and doesn't consume much power (I doubt that PC comes with a good enough power supply to handle high-end graphics cards).
Most likely it can be enough to play at the highest settings (but possibly it would be preferrable the 2nd highest settings to keep the framerate smoother), the card is the Geforce GTX 650.

For the one you posted last page, the one with the Pentium G645, putting a new graphics card is as simple as uninstalling the Intel graphics drivers, inserting the new card into the specific slot, starting the PC, and installing the new drivers.

Since that PC most likely doesn't have a good power supply, this card is possibly the best graphics card you can get:

What is your budget? Honestly stay away from walmart, You know what I did? I found a local computer store with a guy who sold for really cheap IMO lol, and I scored my computer,

400 bucks

24 inch monitor, 4GB DDR2, Intel Q6600 Quad, Nvidia GTX 550 Ti, 2 Hard drives (about 700 GB total) 650 Watt Power Supply The Monitor retailed for $450 and the CPU was like $200+ lol however outdated yes but this computer can play any game I have put on it so far. I have shader set to 3 on PSO2 and have not tried any higher, can probably go higher but no need for me.

But yeah just look around, stay away from retail like walmart or best buy or future shop. Go custom build one!

I was looking around and found good deals on most of the stuff. But this is a fairly nice build and would play nicely I think.

$644.78 Sub total
$752.60 With Ontario Taxes. I also forgot you may or may not live in Canada lol.

What do others think? Good build here or no? It would sure play PSO2 very easily.

Edit: scrap that mother board just noticed it is crossfire only not Sli lol. but could just get a AMD card dont have to be nvidia. It is whichever you like though wouldnt it be better to get AMD mother boards and not intel for AMD Gfx cards? I dunno I am not a whiz yet lol

There now it all works, You just can not SLI I chose a simple Micro ATX as I am sure your not crazy for SLI and all by the sounds of it. But best idea is to do this, go online look at either New Egg or Tiger Direct or any good online computer parts site and choose things out and Find what you like. Then just go to a local computer shop who builds computers and tell them the parts you want and they will build it for you.

This is always a better way to go is to make your own, retail places will just rip you off hard.

There's nothing you could do to upgrade your processor in that one, the motherboard for that PC uses a socket specific for the E series processors, better processors simply do not fit in the socket.

The processor is pretty important, so even if you got a decent graphics card in it, you still would have problems. It's a processor that is not meant to be used for games.

Wait a minute, I didn't read through all 5 pages, but is OP not capable of building a computer on his own? It's cool to see retail stores selling IBUYPOWER machines, but you can get a computer for 500 bucks that will run PSO2 at 40+ FPS on high if you grab some "before the New Year" clearance items off various hardware sites like Newegg.

EDIT: Nevermind..you have to stay at Wal-Mart..Uhm...best of luck..the best thing you can do is get a machine with a decent graphics card (Not a fan of all of those FX processors included and the crappy PSU's) and then upgrade other parts individually along the line. Check to make sure your card has at least 512-1024MB of VRAM if you want solid performance.

VRAM is not a good indicator of graphics performance, there's plenty of graphics card with alot of VRAM that have really weak core.

omg haha yea all this is going over my head ^.^;;;;. Im trying to keep up. Ill learn i guess already i have some from you guys
Since you can't get the one that I suggested from best buy, from walmart your best bet is the one that DoubleCannon posted.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/iBUYPOWER-Black-Gamer-Power-WA549BFS-Desktop-PC-with-AMD-FX-4100-Quad-Core-Processor-Windows-8-Operating-System-amp-Bonus-Dirt-Showdown-Game-Vouche/21777764

And if you can upgrade, you should upgrade the graphics card to either one of these two:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Asus-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-650-1GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-3.0-Graphics-Card/21978250
http://www.walmart.com/ip/XFX-AMD-Single-Slot-Radeon-HD-7750-Core-Edition-1GB-DDR5-PCI-E-Graphics-Card/21344053

If you can't afford either one of those, this one is also a solid option:

VRAM is not a good indicator of graphics performance, there's plenty of graphics card with alot of VRAM that have really weak core.

This is the best I could find for your budget at walmart:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lenovo-H415-57308960-Desktop-PC-with-AMD-Quad-Core-A8-3850-Processor-8GB-Memory-1TB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-8-Monitor-Not-Included/22081808

Most likely it's enough for medium settings without upgrades. Either this, or the one with the FX processor that DoubleCannon posted are the best you can get, I guess.

Ok say i got this one. you say its decent. Now what can I get to improve it more :/

I made a bit more of research, the graphics in the Lenovo is not as good as I thought, it's about the same as the Radeon HD6450, so the PC that DoubleCannon posted is a better option due to the better processor. ^^;
Look at my previous post for suggestions about graphics card upgrade.

A Radeon 7340 is a really low-end card.

Medium settings at most, IF you're OK with a low frame rate. If you upgraded the video card you could probably max it out pretty easily.

I have a mobility radeon HD 3670, I think. I can run the game fine on stage 4 graphics.

An HD7340 is weaker than a mobility HD3670 actually.

About the installation, basically what you have to do is remove the card that comes with the PC, put in the new card in the slot where the old card was, and install the drivers from the CD of the new card.

Oh, wait, now that I think about it, not sure if the drivers that come in the CD have a Windows 8 option, it's better to install the drivers from the official website:
http://www.amd.com

When you put the new card, you go to the website, go to "Find a Driver" in the right side, choose Driver Autodetect, download and install the autodetect tool. The tool will search for the most recent driver, download it and install it.

It can run at max settings, but you can also play at the 2nd highest settings (preset 4 instead of preset 5) for a smoother framerate.

Woot My pic for PC was a good one! lol .. Installing graphics cards are very simple. Honestly just go on youtube and watch how it is done, thats how I learned the first time lol. The IBUYPOWER will also play pretty much all modern games and with a graphics upgrade it will be a very nice computer.

You can always sell the old card from the PC aswell since the card would still be new.

Yes, that should be good for either max settings or close to max settings.

I also have this problem. I got a new laptop for Christmas, and I'm unsure if I can get this game to run.

On what seem to be low settings, I can get Just Cause 2 (Steam sale) to run about 10-15 fps.

Here's some of the box stats.

Samsung Notebook Series 5
Windows 8.
Intel Core I5 (3210M)
15.6 inch LED HD
Shared VRAM
6 Gigs of memory DDR3 1600 MGz/4G*1+2G*1
750 Gig HDD (5.4 SATA)
ODD: Super Multi Dual Layer (SATA)

From what Can You Run It tells me, I don't think I'll be able to on accounts of the videocard. If I can't run Metro 2033 or Just Cause 2, my hopes are somewhat dim. Is there a way to remove and replace the video card in a Samsung Series 5 notebook? And also where to get one (new or used, if it works it's fine with me) as well that won't break my already empty bank

I also hear there's ways of increasing the VRAM as well, but I haven't found out how yet too.

Masters and pros, what do you all suggest I do?
