Purchase/use 5000 AC, win a prize?

Hey guys, my friend found a campaign on the main website. It says something along the lines of purchase/use 5000 AC or 2000 AC through 12/26 and 1/16 and you get neat things.

Can anyone confirm that if you purchase/spend the required AC you'll net the prizes?
