No In Game Audio

I am using a windows 7 64bit PC

I need a fix for fixing my in game audio which is not working atm.

Heres what fixes I've tried:

Updating Direct X did not work
File check did not do anything
Installing reinstalling didn't work
Tried 3 different audio devices
Volume controls are all in the green

Try to lower the level of hardware acceleration for your sound card which you can do by going to the control panel and then sound settings. You should first check in dxdiag if your sound is accelerated at all (win+r and type dxdiag; press enter and check the sound tab).

Okay, I think I know what's going on - open the device manager and disable AMD High Definition Audio Device (it will be in sound devices) and tell me how that goes.

Keep note that you will have to disable that device everytime you install new drivers.
