Real taxation (supposedly) goes towards management of a system to benefit the well-being of a collective.

Due to the fact that meseta is just a fictional currency it's just a money sink to compensate for the assumption that current sinks like vendors, players quitting, and weapon grinding (hah) are not enough to balance circulation.

It's more like a fee.

Maybe Sega should issue returns next month :P

It most likely goes towards to rebuilding the fleet. Dark Falz Elder and the Darkers destroy a large number of ships and let's not forget the number of campships that get destroyed for every abduction.
