large characters

Hello, again, everyone!

I'm curious: Are there many large characters in the JPPSO2 community?

I plan to be on with Rhonda after the official English version of PSO2 is released.

I wouldn't say "many". I know of one in my team and have seen some others.

Some are unintentional, as male cast body morphing may make certain armor look good, but when wearing regular clothes you end up looking... "large".

I know all about the armor thing.
I think it also applies (though a bit less) to some female cast armor pieces too. Like, you're adjusting the widths all around and get something that looks cool with the set of parts. But then change to another...and suddly like you say "large" happens or it just seems out of proportion. Which I think you have to pay to change later, right?

Like Rhonda is cool, (if thats her up there sideways) but the shoulder-peices are way giant for no reason. They didn't scale right somehow. I dont think its right of them to offer clothes for everybody.......and then certain clothes only look normal/proporitionate/etc on only 1 specific style of person. Like the dress where you have to be super short and thin or it clips all over. OR the ones that morph your character when you apply those. PSU was super guilty of that.

Original question:
There doesn't seem to be. I see a few people around, there's a girl in pink & white a lot. But not a real bunch. I'm also curious because everybody seems "kinda standard". Lots of beige people...nice rainbow of hairs, lots of average height, not Cast dominated, LOADS of girls (the whole costume bias deal). Curious to see if the worldver will have a larger range of designs. Like Cast can have ANY skin color, but 99% of them are beige or metalface.

I remember maybe 3 large female characters from PSU (non-JP PC/PS2) that were leveled past maybe 50 including my female CAST, Rhonda. There was Kitty and some other girl.

There weren't many if any large LV.50+ men on there though, iirc.

Well I like to think that I have a vary down-to-earth design. Which adds a little something deferent to the community. Compared to all the other character design trends you see now-a-days.

I'm pretty sure everyone has the same hit box but I'm not sure. I know for a fact that weapons don't scale though.

Also casts can be big, but some of the mechanical parts are always really slender.

This is actually wrong. The smaller you are in height the smaller your hitbox.

Do you mean like how smaller characters can dodge diga by sitting because of the arch pattern in its attack? Or how taller characters could reach Mother Brain arms instead of being forced to shoot her arm in a remote spot.
Sega probably fixed it so its impossible now to kite or avoid being hit because of your hitbox regardless of height. You probably even lost the ability to push enemies by running up to them or while using a photon art/bullet/technic.

I had a small Beast character in PSU (the adults that were short). It is funny to see a small character with a huge sword! Another maybe odd thing to see with a huge sword:

Dusting off the old profile...

I made Holly at the end days of PSU, because I wanted to try a huge beast character. She made it onto PSP2, and now appears on PSO2, minus the fuzzy ears (and about half her strength). Now she's almost Hunter 40, with VH unlocked. It hasn't been an easy road for Holly this time around, that's for sure.

She originally used knuckles as a primary weapon, but the fighter class just doesn't have much appeal outside of them for me (It's all fancy and quick, and Holly is more HULK SMASH), and I can't say no to Gigas Spinner Wire Lances. Maybe once they release some more All-Class knuckles with some oomph I'll be more satisfied.

No matter how many costumes I end up looking at, I keep coming back to the default one she started with. She doesn't wear a lot of the costumes well (Candy Crown, I'm looking at you), but she did have one hell of a wedding dress!
