Hello, I'm new to this whole playing on the JP versions of the Phantasy Star series especially on a large MMO as this one. What are some perks and tips that you would give on how to level, rare item collection and mag development? It's a bit hard to understand in depth what some of the perks of armor and other pieces of equipment can do and so on. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. ^^

Well, first off, here's a link to the English Wiki.

http://cirnopedia.frostsabre.com/

That'll give you your list of Client Orders (quests), weapons, armors, abilities, etc. Should make finding things a lot easier.

Next, here's a link to Bumped.org (http://bumped.org/psublog/pre-open-beta-starter-guide-for-phantasy-star-online-2/). Bumped is kinda like a newsletter. Specifically, that link is to a starter guide. Should help you with navigating the menus, etc. until you get used to it.

My personal advice? Eh, just slowly get used to things. Don't worry about grinding, affixing, making vast amounts of meseta until you're used to playing the missions and the combat. The game isn't going anywhere: you'll be able to get to the other stuff in time.

Try and find a good team with English speaking players. There should be a few teams around that are friendly enough. They'll be able to guide you through any problems you meet in game, hopefully.

As far as leveling goes, definitely make sure to keep up with most of your COs at least when it comes to Hard mode (which you will be able to do at level 20). For mag feeding, just feed it your class weapons to raise your desired attack stat. If you do nothing but that, you'll end up with something like ~95 in your main attack stat and ~55 Dexterity/Ability.

Also, not to sound overly patronizing but our team is pretty good with helping new players progress and understand the game. We've managed to get new players from fresh to Very Hard mode in a matter of 1-2 weeks.
