Question about vita and pso2

So just got my product code to get into the vita beta, but read that all character data will be deleted once test is over? So what will happen if I sign in with my current pso2 account will I be able to make a new character just for the test? or will it delete my two character that I play on on the computer? o.0

I believe when you sign in for the beta you are required to make a new character that will only be for the beta.

So it makes you make a new character and then only that character is deleted once the beta is over? So it's safe to link my main account? XD
