So, is there anywhere I'm supposed to go to make it so I can equip fists, dual swords and others? Or is that for paying players only? Or do I need a certain level?

Knuckles, Twin Daggers and Double Sabers can only be used by the Fighter class.
To unlock Fighter, first you must reach lvl 30 as Hunter, then you must complete 2 client orders, one from the NPC Ohza, and one from the NPC Koffie.
