Chrome already made it really easy to translate by right clicking, but the lexilogos window is really cool. I'll try it this weekend. I'll prob buy some AC then.

I'd be more than willing to try. Got some friends who want to try the game out, but they're too lazy with all the Japanese 'n stuff.

Great initiative in my opinion. Kudos to you, Kion.

Is there any more functionality that people would want? I was thinking of adding a translation option for netcash, or bitcash if that would help people pay by credit card directly instead of having to buy prepaid cards off other sites.

Messed with this a bit, it's a nice little extension for what it does. Nice work, I'll share it with others who might be interested.

This is great!
Thank you so much for making even another super helpful thing for pso2!

Is the site still not taking world (non Japanese I guess) credit cards?
I remember it had a period where it would take like anybody's card.

If you cant use a card normally, is Netcash or Bitcash the best option to pay with the lowest amount of added fees?

If it is, those would be really amazing to have translated. I've always wanted to buy a few AC things, just the HUGE HASSLE of it all stopped me. That, and having to pay a zillion added fees just so I can buy something. Like, I would get the item pack expansions, another character slot or 2, an extra mag maybe...stuff you don't have to re-buy.

But if something could be made that would cause the whole AC buying process to be safe & easy, I'm 100% for it. I would buy right away.

Update! Added live EQ status for ship 2 and shortcut links to the extension. Earlier functions are as-is and will also work.

Also designers!

I need icons and images. I'd rather not use the rappy icon or the Arks icons for the patches as they're from the fan kit. It would be nice to have something original. Also I need an icon to use in the store so that there's and image associated with the image before you open it. There's also a tile, for when it shows up in searches. And no, i don't know how that's different from the icon.

Design wishlist:
16x16 Icons for patch links
36x36 Icon for the icon that goes in the toolbar
128x128 Title image for chrome webstore
440x280 Tile image for chrome webstore

Be sure to rate, share and give feedback. Enjoy!!!!!

Well, for fun I tried signing up for both, and I got closest with BitCash, but it wants a mobile phone carrier email address, which I can't get.

"Couldn't" really care less.
I'm sorry but I just had to butt in on this alone...because you probably do this to people IRL and it probably bugs the !@#$ out of them too. Both phrases work in their own way.

Couldn't care less means you care the least amount possible. "Could" care less could also mean that even though you care so very little already, you are capable of caring even less (which is the insulting part).

They both can work with a little bit of brain power. Now don't ever do this again. It annoys people.

Please don't defend ignorance. The correct phrase is "couldn't care less". Saying "could care less" means that you care somewhat, which is the opposite of what people are trying to say.

To make it even easier to understand:
I couldn't care less = I don't care
I could care less = I care

i just hope you arent using this terrible bot for your extension ( https://twitter.com/pso2_emg_bot ) because its terribly updated when it comes to ship 2 (there was a falz 3 hours ago, yet no announce on that bot, gg) so i'd advise anyone to not rely solely on this

Kion
Feb 21, 2013, 08:33 PM
That was kind of the alternative I was thinking of as well. If someone wants to put that into action, then I can change the source on the twitter feed for the app. For the time being the twitter bot isn't perfect, but it get's a decent amount and it has a consistent post style which makes it easy to parse.

It might be too little too late, but...

Here's an RSS feed that searches the official bot for updates with the text "Ship02":
http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=+from%3Apso2_emg_bot%E3%80%80Ship02

I've had this in my RSS feed for a while now.

Also this (everything from the bot, just for completion's sake):
http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=+from%3Apso2_emg_bot
and this (searches for ship 2 and ダークファルス, which is dark falz):
http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=+from%3Apso2_emg_bot%E3%80%80Ship02% E3%80%80%E3%83%80%E3%83%BC%E3%82%AF%E3%83%95%E3%82 %A1%E3%83%AB%E3%82%B9

Not sure if these would be useful at all since this plugin exists, but it sounds like what you were after Jooozek. Unless you meant what the exact EMQ was.

Those RSS feeds are pretty much exactly what I'm using just in a different format. This is the link for the twitter emg bot (last 25 posts by most recent).
https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?&screen_name=pso2_emg_bot&count=25
And here's a cleaner looking version:
http://sun.gmobb.jp/collins/twitter/index.html

And http://search.twitter.com/search.json?q=pso2_emg_ship02&count=25 which grabs all posts by hash tags.
http://sun.gmobb.jp/collins/twitter/hash.html

Basically what the emb bot is, looks for the same kind of posts with certain patterns from certain people and then retweets them. Basically all i'm doing is picking up that source and parsing it into a times. So if someone wants to make an service specifically for ship 2, that can work, but i still need the same kind of consistency.

The other thing is that I also realized that I'm crashing someone's time server. I thought it was odd that there was a EQ at 2 today and my icon wasn't changing color, after looking into it i got a 503 service unavailable error from the time server i was double checking the current jst time against the time on the tweet because they've had too many requests. So I'm going to take that part of the functionality out of the extension until i make my own time server.

Hm, I assume you couldn't simply request the time from the user's browser, could you? Or would knowing the timezone be an issue, even if you could? Or am I just making it abundantly clear how little I know about making chrome plugins?

Either way, this is a pretty cool suite of tools, thanks a bunch for doing this.

Kion
Feb 22, 2013, 01:34 AM
Yeah, I was thinking about doing it from the user's browser at first, it's not impossible but I've had to detect and adjust for the time zone, and it would also depend on if the time was set correctly on the computer (maybe?). So I figured grabbing JST from a server would be more precise/practical. Anyways, please update or disable the extension until I get it working.

Syklo
Feb 22, 2013, 02:21 AM
Perhaps this should be stickied, even though I've already linked it in my captcha sticky :P

Anyway, should the NA Version come out (and not fail), would you/someone make an NA EQ Bot and the chrome extension for it?

Kion
Feb 22, 2013, 11:09 AM
Okay, this is pretty cool. I think I solved the problem of the time server, with node.js!!!!

I think this proof of concept page only works in chrome or safari, if you see the words "connected" when you bring up the page it's working, otherwise you should get an error message. Basically I made I set the server to listen for a specific user (lady gaga in this case for debugging), which then automatically sends the contents of the tweets to the browser page.

So in effect I can have the server listen for some twitter EQ bot and then set the status on the chrome extension only during that period. Also it make it easier when the server is also running in JST. Anyways, I'm going to leave the debug page up and running for a day. Anyone who wants to check it out can goto http://49.212.209.68/socket.html. And tell me if it works or not. okay it works (turned it off).

Kion when do you find the time to actually play? lol

Kion
Feb 22, 2013, 08:44 PM
Okay, nice to know that it works, turning it off now. So basically I can set the server to follow the EQ Bot. Either @PSO2_Ship02emg, @pso2_emg_ship02, or make a new one if those aren't reliable enough, and then change the color of the icon depending on when the EQ happens.

Syklo
Feb 22, 2013, 08:50 PM
Perhaps add a setting so that we can choose specifically which ship to monitor eq's for
(e.g. @pso2_emg_ship08 ) along with the icon color changing :P

Kion
Feb 23, 2013, 07:07 AM
Okay, fixed it! Now user's user's time to compare against EQ time, and I realized the links weren't working before. So they open in a new tab now. Still rough around the edges but I'm going to leave it as this for now. Although I can think of a lot of ways to improve on it, I'm going to go back to translations for a while.

Kion
Feb 23, 2013, 11:09 AM
That would be ideal. I was thinking of something like that too, a bot (C# app maybe?) that would stand in the lobby and post on twitter when missions were going to occur. That way you're not missing anything. What would be really cool if there were someway to get the actual mission after it's put into effect. Volcano, Banther, and stuff have the same in game warnings, so it would be really nice to see if it's worth your time to log in or not. Also it would be extremely epic to have the mission icon in the popup window in the chrome extension.

The design for the bot itself doesn't seem to complicated as much as actually writing and implementing it. I can do javascript and php for the webside, but I don't know too much about local programming.

Syklo
Feb 23, 2013, 05:08 PM
I might design a program to parse the pso2 logs in realtime, and then just have a pso2 client solely dedicated to watching for eq's on ship 2. It would then post the eq to twitter in a pre-determined status you could easily parse. Thoughts?
If you're planning on basing that off the system logs (i.e. post to twitter when it logs "Large-scale operation in progress" or its JP equivalent), I'm not a great programmer myself but without some sort of restriction it'll likely re-tweet that warning several times (since the game repeats that warning every 3 minutes or so while in the same area)

Retweeting has no effect on the way I wrote my program. Basically it checks against the most recent mention of a EQ mission. So even if the same thing is re-tweeted several times, it will act identical to it being tweeted once.

Also since the announcement is only announced at 45 minutes on the hour, the program would only need to check once and then sleep for the next hour.

since the last update they are all distinct

Also this makes things a lot easier. If there are specific ways of writing each EQ before they're actually out rather than a general announcement, then that would allow me to put a sexy-looking mission icon in the drop down window on the extension.

eq announces arent logged
Is anything logged tho? I checked through my logs and sure enough I didn't see any warnings, but then again I don't play very often at all. It does get recorded into the player's in game chat log, so is there any local text file that could be read as an indication of an announcement?

A little confused but what exactly does this do? .. In PSO2 noob terms

The extension in general?

Translates the registration process
Provides a popup hiragana keyboard for the captcha's
Provides shortcuts to bumped.org and bumped.org
Checks twitter for EQ's and changes to icon color to orange when announced, red when in effect
Auto-fills in the address and phone number in the AC sign up page

So it only really useful to new players.. Aside from the EQ (Emergency Quest?) updates?

Pretty much. But I figured that normal players charge AC occasionally so the translated player menu and have trouble with the hiragana captcha occasionally which is why I bundled them together. The problem is that the twitter pso2_emg_bot on twitter is where I'm getting the emergency quest information and its less than entirely reliable. Which is why this conversation has slanted towards working out a better method of live EQ updates, or a making a more reliable twitter bot.

Hey Kion... love the chrome extension :P If there's one thing I think you could add to the EQ part of it, I think I'd say it would be having an option to convert the timezone for the next EQ.

Caledonia
Feb 25, 2013, 11:48 AM
Further to that, if you want it to be more useful to non-new players, maintenance announcements as well, (I know they're announced here, but I still have to go through and convert the timezone to UST) would be nice. And, yeah user-based time conversion would be awesome.

Klypto
Mar 4, 2013, 12:08 AM
Here use this then.

I haven't written chrome extensions before, but I'd imagine there's a barrier between the chrome extension's Javascript out there in nowhereville and the page DOM for some sort of security.

To get around that, you insert your js files directly into the page and execute them there.

//Package a function to send to the DOM
function override() {

//store translation data in object array
translate = {
'入力情報が不正です': "Your entry is wrong or whatever dude",
'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE",
'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE",
'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE",
'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE",
'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE"
}

//backup the alert box function to reuse it (if you want to program your own fancy alery box then go for it, you could probably even use jQuery UI or the chrome built in desktop notifications API, because alert boxes are lame)
window.alertback = window.alert

//redefine the alert function to pass text into the backup of the original alert function after it's translated
window.alert = function alert(x) {
alertback(translate[x]);
};

}

//append the script to the DOM and execute it - this breaks through that weird twilight zone seperate from the DOM that chrome extensions operate in
var script = document.createElement('script');
script.appendChild(document.createTextNode('('+ override +')();'));
document.documentElement.appendChild(script);

I tested this by adding it to your pso2login.js file and it works fine.

Should be fun.

Kion
Mar 4, 2013, 05:22 AM
Okay, thanks. I added that into the extension and updated it. Also I added another link: https://cha.isao.net/profile_oem/OEMLogin.php?product_name=sega to the pso2login.js context because people were giving me grief that it wasn't working.

But one thing that really bothers me is how does that code work? Don't you need to do string = string.relace("something", "with something");? I mean it's just a json object. So you put the message to be translated in as the key for the object, and it returns the subsequent value for it? That's some really impressive coding.

Would it be too much work to put in a quick link to Cirnopedia (http://cirnopedia.frostsabre.com/) in it, though? I believe that's the wiki ENG-players use the most.

Sure, I can add cirnopedia to the extension. Except an even number of links would be nice. pso2.jp? Or is there another resource that a lot of people use?

http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z88/kion_01/preview_zps1cd24a79.png

Need icons for each EQ. And if anyone is better with CSS that would be appreciated. Design isn't exactly my strong suit.

I didn't look much into the extension files for it, but are you actively or passively checking the twitter bot for EQ's through the extension? (as in the user must perform an action to trigger it to update or the extension automatically does it at a timed interval regardless of whats happening)

I was just wondering if you would be interested in adding the Chrome Desktop Notifications into the extension.

Example:
http://www.210computing.com/google/chrome_notifications.html

The interesting thing about Google's notifications is they appear outside of the browser. The code itself from looking at that example page isn't overly complicated, although I would recommend not sticky'ing the notifs like that example does (timeout).

The other thing I noticed when I ran through registration today is that there are some buttons / text not translated. If you need a way to target those because they don't have ID selectors, ect. I could try and get it to work.

Google allows cross-origin xmlHttpRequests for chrome extensions, so right now I'm usng a kind of brute force checking twitter every three minutes for a mention of ship 2 eq from the pso2_emg_bot and then parses the time from the content of the tweet for the time in JST:

[03/05] Ship02 にて 15:00~15:30 まで【緊急クエスト】(局所地域)が来るかも?

And convert that into GMT, compares that to a Date() object to change the color of the extension icon. For the message in the popup I have it send an ajax request on the window.onload event to grab the last tweet and translate it. They increased the number of announcements for the EQ's. The thing is I don't actually play the game very often, so i'm not entirely sure which alert corresponds to what in english which is why occasionally the EQ type is missing or not translated in the popup window. Having the Japanese alert and and an appropriate message for it is definitely on my want list.

I thought of doing desktop notifications, but I figured a visual queue from the icon changing color was enough, and then you could click it to see which EQ was announced. An alternative would be to either remove the icon or remove the twitter information from the popup window in the toolbar and just have a desktop icon with EQ announcements. But it's not exactly like everyone is able to play the game at any given time, so I figured keeping the icon over notifications would be less obtrusive. :-?

Also I figured that checking every 3 minutes for an EQ in the background isn't very resource intensive, but would it be better to have it check the current minute and then setTimeout depending on the status of the EQ?

That depends on the consistency of the twitter bot, I haven't paid much attention to how it tweets.

Really there's no reason to check continuously since we know EQ's are always announced 15 before the hour and start on the hour.

If the twitter bot gets it within a few minutes of accuracy you could have the extension check for an EQ the first time it's loaded up then sent an on-timer that's equal to the amount of time that you would expect the next twitter announcement (15 minutes from the hour).

From there loop for every 3-5 minutes until you are out of the "announcement period" since you can't trust that bot to be timely, then go back to setting that long ontimer... etc.

From what I read about how the twitter bot works it definitely does not give me confidence of it's "accuracy". I thought they were actually using the game to get the information, but it turns out they base it off of the player tweets (unreliable).

On a side note, I did finish the OCR part of the market system and I could probably make it read the announcements with reliable accuracy down to about < 3 seconds for ship 2. I haven't tried i yet though. This won't be available for a while until I finish setting it up the rest of the parts and connect it to a web server. Probably will be json.

A suggestion: A button (or even new plugin?) to take the nicovideo page you're on and send you to mmcafe.

Example:

You go here: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm20254023

Plugin notices you're on a nicovideo video page, lights up

Clicking the button sends you here: http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html#http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm20254023

Some people might find this particularly handy.

Yeah, basically i was thinking

if(minute < 30){
checkForEQ();
if(EQ){
//setRedIcon();
}else{
//sleep until 45 min
}
}else if(minute >= 30 && minute < 45){
//sleep until 45 min
}else{
checkForEQ();
if(EQ){
//setOrangeIcon();
}else{
//check again in two minutes
}
}

And having the tweet in json data directly would be pretty great. Would save me the trouble of having to parse the month, date, time and EQ type from teh context of the tweet.

On an unrelated side note, is there a way to make the icon more... noticeable? I find that it's not very attention grabbing if you aren't checking it often.

That's what Klypto was suggesting with desktop notifications. I guess that's an option. Alternatively if someone wanted to make a new icon for the toolbar to make the EQ status more noticeable than the small area of color around the rappy, that would be perfectly acceptable too.

Would a sound or pop-up(like having the menu that pops up when you click on it come up) notification be a viable option?

Perfect. I think the boss is the most identifiable part, but I'm not exactly sure how the announcement system works anymore. Does each EQ have it's own particular announcement now?

Right now looking at the pso2_emg_bot there's:
desert, dark falz, white day, city and 局所地域 (forest/caves areas). I guess I only need an icon for each of these categories.

If I'm not mistaken, they announce the area where the EQ is going to be, for example, I think the announcement for the Dark Ragne, 500 points and Falz Hunar EQs is the same.

I think they actually announce the specific area. When it's the Big Vardha EQ, the announcement mentions Lillipa Tunnels, when it's Desert Guerillas, it mentions Lillipa Desert.

But one thing I was hoping for (I'm not sure if this was mentioned or not) is maybe an option to go to the Ship 2 PSO2 Twitter and maybe also have a way to be able to see what EQ is coming up if the icon is orange (maybe there is a way to parse the text from the tweet and make it appear on the icon?). Might get a test API up by the end of next week.

The only problem is I will be limited to ship 2 for a while.

The hardware requirements of running automated OCR and an instance of the game client is 3-4GB of RAM per ship and 2-3 processor threads. That would be about 40GB of RAM and 20 Processor threads to do all the ships... my PC only has 8GB of ram and 8 processor threads.

Well probably stick with only 2 ships unless I decide it's worth buying other hardware for the heck of it.

For the english community I think ship 2 is enough, I don't see too much need for other ships. I'll add in the appropriate conditions for ship 2 to run off your API once it's up and running.

Just a small update, I realized there's a bug in the program that causes the get twitter function to loop every second at the 45 minute mark, which goes over twitter's limit of 150 requests an hour causing the icon to not change color even when an EQ is announced. I fixed that code and uploaded it, so it works normally on the current version.

Revise alert msg overrides to handle strings not in the translate array:

//Package a function to send to the DOM
function override() {

'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE",
'JAPANESE TEXT HERE': "ENGLISH TEXT HERE",

}

//backup the alert box function to reuse it (if you want to program your own fancy alery box then go for it, you could probably even use jQuery UI or the chrome built in desktop notifications API, because alert boxes are lame)
window.alertback = window.alert

//redefine the alert function to pass text into the backup of the original alert function after it's translated
window.alert = function alert(x) {

msg = translate[x]; //call array only once
if(msg == "undefined"){
alertback('Could not translate: /n' + x + '/n/nPlease report this on PSO-World. See web console (CTRL + SHIFT + J) to copy the Japanese text'); //Translation not found, give the original message with instructions
console.log('Could not translate: /n' + x);
}else{
alertback(msg); //Translation found, use translate message
}
};

}

//append the script to the DOM and execute it - this breaks through that weird twilight zone seperate from the DOM that chrome extensions operate in
var script = document.createElement('script');
script.appendChild(document.createTextNode('('+ override +')();'));
document.documentElement.appendChild(script);

The time for the EQ announcements only appears when there's either when an EQ has been announced or is in progress. If it doesn't show up when an EQ is in effect then click on the icon to open the window, right click and select "inspect element". That will open the page that google generates to run the extension on. If anything isn't working there should be a red error icon in the bottom right corner. Click it and see what the error says. Then I can see what I can do about it. Occasionally I have seen it bug out when it doesn't get a response from twitter.

Sorry, I realized that putting psow in next to the for the links could cause unnecessary problems. Also since Arks-Layer doesn't have affiliation with the status, I don't think I can put those in there without explicit concent. So links will be back if I can get written permission to include them in the extension.

I think it is okay to include the links if I add in the options a method of inputting and saving your own links since they're not included locally in the extension directly but added freely afterwards. Also I realized that while psow is general the main source for phantasy star news, there are a lot of other communities like reddit, or french sites, or psumods, so I think that also works for that.

The way I'd like to implement it is to have a default set of icons which you can toggle in the options menu, and provide the option to make custom shortcuts as well. I have some other priorities to work on at the moment, so it'll probably be about two weeks before I include that. I just hope that people understand the reasons I temporarily removed the links. And if anyone has requests for new links, and or the contact information for the person able to give concept, please put that information here.

Thanks for reporting this bug. I'm fixing that and re-uploading it right now, so in a little while that feature should be functioning again once you update. (I'm writing this before actually uploading, so give it an hour or two).

Also the icons is something I'm concerned about. The rappy and arks-logo (used in the now removed links) were part of the fan kit provided by Sega, but the image icons for each EQ are ripped straight from the game. I'm going to go ahead and remove those now as I'd rather be safe than sorry. But on the good news I'm going to host a small contest for drawing new icons. Basically the winner of each icon will get 500AC. So if someone is able to draw the whole set, they can get 4000AC. (i think there are about eight). So I'll make another post of that for including the details. I hope no one PM's me with 8 icons and says, "gib me AC", but if they're good enough it I probably wouldn't mind.

--Kion, I would suggest that as you're paying, you are the final judge in the matter and there shouldn't even be a poll.

EDIT: Also Kion, my icon is stuck on blue, and I know there's an EQ going. --the ship 2 announcement bit is working, giving me the right info, but the icon did not switch to orange or red.

Yeah, I've noticed that it doesn't seem to be changing. I'll see if I can fix that over the week end.

For as for the judging, pretty much the result is that which ever images get used in the chrome extension, the person that made those get's 500AC per image. So I'm open to opinions from those who participate in how they'd like to have their work evaluated. Right now I'm thinking of three options.

1) Work as commission: basically those submitting work are understand that this is a commission for art work to be included in the chrome extension, and respect my judgment for which images I choose to use in the extension.

2) Cards on the table: Basically all of the images are layed out and everyone is allowed to vote on any image they like. This has the advantage of an objective number in total votes that allows to see how images are ranked. Also since the chrome extension is used by the community, it involves everyone with the decision making. This would need to be done offsite and include a facebook, google, or twitter account confirmation before voting to make sure a human is voting.

3) Winner takes all: Basically there would be one thread with each artist's submissions as a set. And winner takes all. This seems like the easiest, and it would also keep the style consistent across the icons. So I'm really leaning towards this option.

I think it may only be occurring under certain conditions, though.

When I noticed that my brother's extension updated the other day, his wasn't red but mine was. Similarly, mine is red right now, and has been changing accordingly unless the Twitter bot didn't announce that particular EQ (which I finally noticed an instance of the other night, actually).

If this is the case, does that mean that each entry has to be a full set? Rather than icon by icon?

Sorry for writing two conflicting options. That's why I'm kind of waiting to see what people send in, and what the opinions of people who submit art. Work people prefer to have it split up and let me decide on which work I choose to include in the extension, or if people would like a vote. Once I get a general sense of what form people would like, I'll rewrite the first post with specifically how the winners will be decided.

I'm talking about if Kion chooses to judge based on a set-by-set basis so as to keep the icon's styles consistent. If thats the case, then we would have to submit all 6 icons as a set, rather than choose which ones to submit for...

EDIT:

Good point. That's not fair to anyone who submits an icon, so the winner take all option is off the table. So it's just a matter if people are okay with me deciding, or if you'd prefer a vote of some kind.

I guess once I have original icons, I could make an addon for firefox as well. I just kind of get annoyed with mozilla because their lack of conformity. Something that works for everything else I always have to write special conditions for firefox. Mozilla, why can't you use webkit like everyone else?

Okay, sorry for the ambiguity. Contest rules have been finalized. There is no single winner, anyone's icon which is included (so multiple possible icons per EQ) will be given 500AC per icon used. So no winner is singled out. But there's still is still competition based on the ammount of funds I have available (thinking around 6000AC~ish pool, alternating two). We'll just have to wait and see. So get submitting!

Bump. Shortcuts are back and gama's icons are now being used. I realized I wrote 5/6 but that's because I didn't know how long it would take everyone. Mostly I wanted something that looked good, and I'm really impressed with Gama's icons. I'd like to hear people's opinions, is there anyone still working on this and wants me to keep it going until 5/6? Or is there something else community related (that generates content) that has a better use for the remaining 3000AC? Because as nice as an alternate theme would be (Tyreek had some amazing sprite icons going), I pretty much got what I wanted (not using copyrighted content). So I'd rather use the AC for something else.

Other than that I haven't heard from anyone, so I went ahead and canceled AC event. No worries, I did give Gama AC for his work. Right now I'm more than happy with the icons Gama provided, so it's just a matter of adding new icons in when they come in to circulation. More than that right now, Gama also made this:

Which makes me reeeeaaaaallly want to make some kind of pso2 themed shump. I mean how epic would it be to have a shump boss battle with that falz just shooting massive amounts of bullets out of his hands. So just for fun, would anyone be interested in working on a fan related pso game? Right now I'm actually working on a program my company (the company i work for) is developing for INTERLOP this year, so I'm kind of busy with that. But over the summer, it would be nice to sit down and work on a bullet hell mini-game.

The English patch includes ads for this extension (shown in the chat panel every so often) saying something about how you can see emergency quests coming up by using it. But from what I've read, it only tells you about emergency quests for ship 2? Or am I wrong, and it shows them for all ships? Because there's no mention of that in the ad, nor on the page for it on the Chrome Web Store.

You have to right-click on the extension's icon and click Options to switch the Ship Notifications.

(Possibly) undocumented feature that's been mentioned/discussed before, but still useful to know nonetheless.

Hoping this comes off well as constructive criticism. It seems like that icon would work better scaled up at 128x128px or where the details can be made out better. At the 50px range it would be nice to see something that's more simplistic with a clear focal point.

Cirnopedia generally covers the wiki part of things. The player site is there for two reasons. One is that it's in Sega's copy general guidelines that they're okay with media being posted about the game but generally it should include a link to the player site and copyright Sega included in it. The other reason is simply for account management. Mostly AC charging, or maybe changing a password, it's mostly just useful to have it there.

I actually started at 100x100px and then tried to scale it down, so there's that. lol

But yeah I noticed the problem once I was done (aside from some other things that could need improvements), but since you're already covered on the icon front I didn't bother starting anew. e_e

That's why I didn't want to add it in the first place. I figured a red icon was subtle, but noticeable enough to be noticed. I removed the feature for the time being and am uploading it now in 1.47. In a day or two I'll add an option to the options page to make an off/on option in version 1.48.

The Chrome Extension is broken (from the last post it looks like it's been broken for a long time now) as it no longer auto translates the registration pages and no longer works as advertised.
