So, I'm putting together a help sheet of all the bosses, their weak points and breakable bits along with any hints & tricks for beating them that we have, complete with screenshots.

I'm doing this because while I soloed a lot I didn't realise I hadn't completely broken all the Ragne legs I thought I had -And I'm sure other people would like to know you can break Vol Dragon's tail after it reforms

Specific pictures wanted:

Bantha Ong &Bantha Donna
Dal Malri
Bantha Elena & Bantha Oran
Chrome Dragon with various parts grown
Haze Draal
Tranzexia, Third form
King Vardha
Elder Falz (I know the last thing you're thinking in that battle is "must screenshot for boss thread" -I'm guilty of that myself, but if you happen to, it would be much appreciated)

Why break parts?
Breaking a part is like killing an entirely separate enemy that you can't collect loot from until the boss dies. A broken part DOES NOT AFFECT the boss's ordinary drops. Breaking a part or leaving it whole will not increase or decrease a boss' main drops. It is entirely separate, but they all drop from the crystal.

Escaping Grabs
Some bosses have grab attacks which you can escape from. Repeatedly hit directional&attack input to escape a grab, except in the case of Gwanahda(see below).

Grabs you can escape from:

Rockbear
Chrome Dragon (has two grab attacks, only one of which is escapable)
Gwanahda (if all the Gwanahda Bit's are destroyed while someone is grabbed, the player will be dropped as the weak point is exposed)

Grabs that need testing

Fang/Snow Banther class bosses

Bosses in the Field/Quests:

Naberius
[SPOILER-BOX]
Rockbear
[SPOILER-BOX]The boss at the end of the Forest, Rockbear is likely to be your first. He has no breakable parts, and his only weak spot is his face.
http://imageshack.us/a/img14/4511/01rockbear.png

He does a lot of wind-up punches to attack, which often miss and end up with him flat on his back, however he can grab a player and crush them. He also performs acrobatic somersaults, slamming back into the ground and any player who didn't dodge in time.
http://imageshack.us/a/img96/3588/01rockbearslam.png
It is possible to escape Rockbears grab by mashing the direction buttons (easier to do on a control pad with the analogue stick) and hitting attack

At about 50% Health, he will beat his chest and roar, encasing his body in a form of "enraging heat", which modifies his swing into a three hit combo. This combo will pause on the second hit if he connects (even on a Hunter's block), however the third hit is a piledriver elbow which has no vulnerability time unlike his non-enraged form - this is because he recovers rather quickly.

In addition, he may force the player to kite him, as his somersault slam loops become longer -they can go on for QUITE some time. If this happens, the person who is being targeted should run behind him to break the cycle.

He is weak to Fire and Wind. Zan is effective against him as it can hit up to six times on one charged cast, two of those hits usually going through the weak spot.

Possible status effects: Burn, Mirage -Can be moved with Zondeel
Rare Variant: Rogbelt

http://imageshack.us/a/img189/8518/rogbelt.jpg
Pictured: a rare Rogbelt

[/SPOILER-BOX]

De Malmoth
[SPOILER-BOX]
First of the Tundra bosses, De Malmoth is... well, a Mammoth.
http://imageshack.us/a/img703/8250/02demalmoth.png
The mask on his face is separated into three parts, each of which is breakable. There's also a hump on the back which is a weak spot.

It is possible to access the hump on the back by standing on it's back. When the forehead protector part of it's mask is broken, it lowers it's head enough for a player to jump on (alternatively there are usually places in the area you're fighting it that are high enough for you to jump from). http://imageshack.us/a/img21/8081/02demalmothback.png
Eventually the De Malmoth will rear onto it's back legs and dislodge anyone on it's back. This rearing is usually followed by a shockwave attack, so get clear!

They throw snowballs, which can freeze you if they hit, and leap surprising distances across the arena to flatten players/gain distance to throw. They also swing their trunk around in close combat and charge over the unsuspecting.

Weak against fire --make them burn!

Rare Variant: Dal Malri
Possible status effects: Burn, Mirage, Panic
http://imageshack.us/a/img24/707/02delmalri.png
(Above; A rare Dal Malri)

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Snow Banther & Snow Banshee

[SPOILER-BOX]At the end of the Tundra are the Banthers.

The armour on the claws, tail and head can all be broken. Breaking the armour on the claws makes them slip around the ice more, making their lunge attacks less troublesome and breaking the armour over the head better exposes the weak spot on the Banshee.
http://imageshack.us/a/img202/5445/03banther.png
The Banshee's head & mane blades are different from the Banther's. The Banther's are elevated ABOVE the head. The head is always a weak point for the Banther. The Banshee however, has its head hitbox as the breakable mane. Its head only becomes a weak point after you break it.

The Banther's attack with lunges/pounces (and swipes from the back claws if you're around there) frost breath and a howl. Banshee enters the arena first, and when her health is down, Banther joins in, which makes it rather a lot more dangerous. Just make sure to kill her first, so you're not fighting both of them too long.*

*He won't join on Normal mode until she's dead.

Rare Variant: Bantha Oran & Bantha Elena
Possible status effects: Can be set on fire, which causes a unique stun animation

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Wolgahda
[SPOILER-BOX]
Is a sumo-wrestler.
http://imageshack.us/a/img685/8634/04wolgahda.png
Like Rockbear there's nothing to break. The weak points are the orange "eyes" on each side of the face

He'll attack by moving towards you with palm-thrusts, sometimes he does this fast, so don't be caught off-guard. He also leaps across the arena and power-slides into players (don't be caught by that one either -it hurts). Up close he will slam his feet into the ground sumo-style, making a shock-wave to damage players

If you're playing melee and the Wolgahda you are fighting is throwing himself at you, don't fear. You can take advantage of this attack pattern. Proceed to dodge his assault but dash toward him. It takes Wolgahda a good two seconds after he has finished sliding on the ground to turn around and throw himself again. Within this time, he crouches and exposes his weak spot.

Weak to Lightning and Light

Rare Variant: Alonagahda*
Possible status effects: Shock, Panic

http://imageshack.us/a/img259/2968/allwolga.jpg
*Alonagahda gains resistance to Light
[/SPOILER-BOX]

Zeshrayda
[SPOILER-BOX]
Is a fast turtle.
http://imageshack.us/a/img11/2708/05zeshrayda.png
The arm-guards, shin-guards and cannons on his back are breakable, the red orb on his head is a weak-point, as is the one lower down on his neck. He will retract his limbs and rocket-power around the arena, flattening anything, and launch missiles from his back.
(Pictured Below: Zeshrayda with arm & shin guards broken)
http://imageshack.us/a/img19/3906/05zeshfrontarmour.png

When Zeshrayda is completely withdrawn into his shell, if there is a weak-bullet placed within the shell, with the right positioning, deadly archer can hit the right hitspot and gain damage bonus from WB.

http://imageshack.us/a/img543/6440/05zeshraydahead.png
When the shell starts to shake, be on your guard. Zeshrayda will stick its head out for a few seconds and enough damage to it will topple Zeshrayda over on his shell. Toppling Zeshrayda on his back damages his cannons, and can destroy a cannon completely. (Picture above shows Zeshrayda just beginning to stick his head out)

When losing his balance, he will drop to the floor if you manage to inflict a certain amount of damage to one of his legs. Each leg has a separate total, so focus attacks on just one.

Rare Variant: Rigshrayda*
Possible status effects: none

*Rigshrayda gains resistance to Light

Amduscia
[SPOILER-BOX]

Caterdra'n
[SPOILER-BOX]
http://imageshack.us/a/img805/8439/06caterdran.png
A baby dragon essentially. The weak points are the shallow segments of it's body only visible when it extends, and if you break the crystal on the tail (it's only breakable point) that becomes a weak point too:

http://imageshack.us/a/img259/3641/06caterdrantailsmashed.png
(A broken tail crystal)

It attacks by lunging forward or slamming those behind it with it's tail. It also flails around on the surface, dives underground to appear from beneath, or spins itself very quickly to stun players.

Rare Variant: Catadraal
Possible status effects: Freeze, Mirage, Poison (Catadraal only suceptable to Freeze) -Can be moved by Zondeel, can take the Fighter's "Bind" Status as well
http://imageshack.us/a/img404/4286/boundcata.jpg

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Vol Dragon
[SPOILER-BOX]
What's a PSO game without a dragon?

http://imageshack.us/a/img94/6193/07voldragon.png
Vol Dragon has three weak/breakable points. The horns on it's head/back and the crystal on it's tail. The horns are weak to ice and dark, the crystal to ice only. It is possible to freeze Vol Dragon's feet to the floor.

Vol Dragon has three forms, first his starting state as above. Eventually, he will dive under the lava crust and come up again in his "Lava Armour"

http://imageshack.us/a/img203/7589/07voldragonlavaone.png
In the first stage of armour, the two horns and the tail are still visible/targetable

If he dives under again, he'll come up in Lava Armour Second Stage. Both the horns are protected and only the tail crystal is left as a weak point.
http://imageshack.us/a/img201/9057/07voldragonlavatwo.png

If you break the tail crystal in Lava Armour One or Two, he'll revert back to his starting form and collapse for a moment, providing access to the horns and the weak point on his tail. Every time you break the crystal it reforms with more HP than the last one, so it becomes increasingly harder to do.
http://imageshack.us/a/img823/4474/07voldragondown.png

After his collapse he'll stick his tail into the ground to re-form the crystal, the more advanced his armour was when it broke, the longer it'll take the crystal to re-form

If you don't break the crystal on Lava Armour Two, he may use a "Super Nova" attack that reverts him back to the starting stage anyway. He'll fly into the air and hover for a bit, charging up a massive fireball that uses the power of his two layers of armour. To avoid this attack, it's suggested that you stand underneath him, then dodge away as he descends back down.

Breaking either of his horns staggers him, interrupting any action he's in the middle of. His entire head is a stagger point. If you do enough damage to it, he'll reel back and stop whatever he's doing - this includes rebuilding his tail.

If he's staggered while reconstructing his tail he has to start all over, giving you plenty of time to keep attacking without any threats.

So a good strategy for him is to let him dive, break his tail, break his back horn to stop him from regenerating, break his front horn to stop him from regenerating then attack his head to stagger him and stop him from regenerating. By now he'll be very low on health and should die before he's staggered again.

When Vol Dragon is down the back horn is very easy to reach for melee classes. It is also very easy to reach with a well placed rising edge. Additionally, fighter can lock-on and use raging waltz to approach then combo while almost completely immune to attack due to height. To get a lock you can run up to Vol Dragon from about a 20-30 degree angle from the front and then jump, and if you time it just right pressing the target button will let you lock Vol's back horn.

Other than that, he'll attack by charging across the field, fire-breathing, slamming with his tail, claws, and summoning a font of fire from beneath you -if he is in Lava Armour 2, he will summon two fonts of fire.

Rare Variant: Burn Draal
Possible status effects: Freeze (On feet only)

Caterdra'nsa
[SPOILER-BOX]
Is Caterdra'n re-coloured. Weakness is Dark rather than Ice. That is all.
http://imageshack.us/a/img18/1851/08caterdranasa.png

Rare Variant: Caterdraal
Possible status effects: Freeze, Mirage, Poison (Caterdraal only susceptible to Freeze) -Can be moved by Zondeel, can have the Fighter's "Bind" status on it
http://imageshack.us/a/img831/9079/06rarecaterdraal.png
(Pictured above: a rare Caterdraal)
[/SPOILER-BOX]

Quartz Dragon
[SPOILER-BOX]
Is NOT Vol Dragon re-coloured if that's what you expect the first time you reach him.

Quartz moves quickly, and will steamroller you if you're not careful. He nose-dives into the arena to spear players and releases barrages of light-missiles. He uses similar melee attacks to Vol Dragon. Similarly, his head is also a stun area if enough damage is dealt there.

http://imageshack.us/a/img441/1245/09quartzdragon.png
His wings are breakable, as are the crystals on his face and tail. He has no weaknesses until the crystals are broken, at which point they are weak to Dark. Breaking at least one of his wings causes him to momentarily collapse after performing his out-of-zone dash attack
http://imageshack.us/a/img252/7901/09quartzbrokenwing.png
(Pictured Above: Quartz Dragon with broken wings, now weak to dark (broken nose at top of picture)
Below: Broken tail, now weak to dark)

http://imageshack.us/a/img805/2084/09quartzdragonexposed.png

Rare Variant:Crys Draal
Possible status effects: Poison (On breakable parts only, doubles damage taken while active, may trigger a unique screaming animation)

In the spoiler, Crys Draal
[SPOILER-BOX] http://imageshack.us/a/img715/7916/crysdraal.jpg[/SPOILER-BOX]
[/SPOILER-BOX]

Goronzoran
[SPOILER-BOX]
Only a mother would love this guy.
http://imageshack.us/a/img826/4269/13goronzoran.png

To start with you have to break the four pillars surrounding his shield. This breaks it and topples his chair, giving you the opportunity to attack him directly. Like Quartz Dragon's parts, the four staves can be "poisoned" leaving them vulnerable to extra damage. Meanwhile, as you break them he'll hit you with a barrage of attacks including a gibarta-style missile move
http://imageshack.us/a/img707/3360/13goronspreadattack.png

He'll also summon Vol Dragon to charge you. Vol Dragon will just preform that one charge attack and then vanish. However after Goranzoran's shield has been broken once, he will summon Vol Dargon in full lava armour, in this state Vol Dragon will summon up spouts of flame around himself.
http://imageshack.us/a/img402/356/13goronsummon.png

Weakness: Dark

Let it be known that Cal hates this guy.
[/SPOILER-BOX]

Dragon EX
[SPOILER-BOX]
Melee type Dragon.
http://imageshack.us/a/img40/9628/14dragonex.png

The weak points are his visor, the shield arms and tail crystal. Like Quartz he has no weakness until you break a peice at which point he is weak to dark.

http://imageshack.us/a/img221/613/14exbroken.png
(A broken shield arm)

At an unknown trigger the colours of his crystal formations changes from blue to orange (50% health?)

He attacks by forming extensions to his crystal appendages -either arm or both. It is possible to anticipate his attack based on what appendage is grown. You can also slow down the forming of these extensions by breaking the arm, giving you more time to react.

http://imageshack.us/a/img197/1777/14exgrowingbits.png

Some attacks require both arms, others one. In one attack he thrusts an arm into the ground and causes a laser to erupt beneath the target. Others generally involve slashes, save one other where he uses both arms to fire a laser over the field at the target

Weakness: Dark.
Rare Variant: Noir Draal

Dragon EX's lines:
[SPOILER-BOX]

[B]Lillipa
[SPOILER-BOX]

Gwanahda
[SPOILER-BOX]
The boss of the desert, Gwanahda spends most of it's time semi-submerged.

It's weak point is on it's abdomen, which will only be exposed if you kill off all the Gwanahda Bits it creates.
http://imageshack.us/a/img90/2208/10gwanahdabit.png

The Gwanahda will "swim" through the ground to charge players. It also sucks them into a pincer grab -which really hurts http://imageshack.us/a/img7/7775/10gwanahdapincer.pngHowever, when Gwanahda has someone in his mouth, he is stunnable

During his "Void Vice" (AKA vacuum chomping) attack, if there is another Gwanadha nearby using it as well, it is almost certain that the other Gwanadha can use it as well, leading to what I term "Vice Cancel"

Further, if you do not eliminate all of his bits in time, Gwanadha will respawn any that have perished. "Void Vice" usually comes along with this, as this attack is used as his Bit spawning attack.

It's vulnerable to Light and Fire, but Zan is effective at taking out all the bits.

Rare Variant: Gwanahda Nero *
Possible status effects: Burn, Panic

Tranmizer
[SPOILER-BOX]
Robot in disguise

http://imageshack.us/a/img23/3146/11transmizer.png http://imageshack.us/a/img845/472/11transmizerrobot.png
The Tranmizer has two forms that it switches between. The "Tank" mode and "Upright" mode. While upright it will pummel players with it's fists and, when in tank mode, it makes strafing runs of bullets then pauses to fire a barrage of missiles.

The weak spot is the blue core on it's back that is pauses to vent occasionally.

Vulnerable to Lightning

Rare Variant: Tranzexia*
Possible status effects: Mirage -Can be moved with Zondeel

*Tranzexia has a third form, that of a cannon that will shoot players. It is also insusceptible to Mirage

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Big Vardha
[SPOILER-BOX]
isn't so much a mech as a mobile fortress...

DO NOT stand in front of it.

Just about everything on Vardha can be broken, and we recommend you do so. Especially at ground level, once you've cleared off the turrets at the sides, you can climb up to fight Vardha's "head" unit on top.
http://imageshack.us/a/img401/8095/12vardhaside.png
(Pictured: Vardha's side and all the breakable parts thereon. Remember to kill both sides)

Notably, Vardha has no cannons or missiles at the back, so it's fairly safe to run around behind him to change sides

http://imageshack.us/a/img10/2408/12vardhaconsole.png
(Pictured, two flamethrowers [bottom] and six targeted missile launchers [top] all destroyed, there's another set of these on the other side)

Vardha will launch bullets and missiles at you, there are also flamethrowers up there to be broken. His arms can be destroyed (three points on each joint need to be broken) -before they are though, he will swing them around and crush you with them.

His central area opens to fire on you, spawn mini-mechs or suck a player into a vent to spew them out over the front -where they are most likely to get shot down by the "body" section's blue lasers.

http://imageshack.us/a/img89/9672/12bigvardha.png
(Pictured: Chest compartment, breakable points on arms highlighted)
While the "chest" compartment is open however, you can also climb in to do damage to the breakable parts there, these are the main weak points.

When his chest compartment comes out, pay attention to the colour - yellow light signifies he will send out his little drone friends (which do damage by ramming into you). These are a large nuisance if left unchecked, but do give EXP when defeated.

Blue light signals the use of his "Particle Blaster" - and he is capable of using this whilst stationary or he can slide from either side of the arena and sweep down that way.

When he uses his "Critical Current" (AKA his red electric ground wave) attack, remember the attack is HEAVILY floor based, meaning that jumping will make it miss you entirely. Also, it seems to be limited to his chest in terms of its berth, meaning that you could very well stand on the outer edges and not get hit.

Killing the bow laser cannons is possible for melee classes. A good strategy is to get a guinea pig to bait the cannons while you're jumping on top of Vardha, then jump down onto the cannon area. It's a platform that you can stand on, and you will not be pushed off when the hatches close. You can clip the cannons and stand behind them, meaning you will be missed by the lasers. You can also just guard/dagger twirl/step to avoid the damage in front when solo, and some attacks will bring you up to them. The threat is in being hit by 3-4, NOT just one, so if 2 cannons are down you'll probably survive just fine unless it's a level 3 infected Vardha. Daggers will easily bring you up to them while giving you hyper armour to keep from being knocked down, and so will trick rave. Over end's hitbox is large enough that even from behind where they can aim at you the first two swings will easily connect despite the cannons appearing to be too high, and obviously so will the third. One cannon often dies in the first two swings, and if you used it soon enough the third swing can kill a second cannon.

Like all mech's he doesn't care much for Lightning.

Rare Variant: King Vardha
Possible status effects: Shock ( Only on main core or chest cannon [unsure which], forces chest cannon to briefly drop to the deck)

Fang Banther/Banshee

Are the forest versions of Snow Banther/Banshee. The main difference here being, if you're lucky, there'll be a convenient tree to dodge behind. Also they don't have a breath attack, but will leap into the trees themselves when their HP is low.

Dark Ragne
[SPOILER-BOX]
The Queen of all insects, Ragne has four breakable parts- her lower legs, each of which can be broken twice (picture shows one leg with cracked armour still on, the other with armour all off -completely broken) when a leg is completely broken she'll collapse for a bit, exposing the red-glowy weak spot on the back of her head. When all four legs are broken, she'll collapse for a longer time, so a common strategy is to use the collapse of the first leg to work on the others, focusing on her weak spot at the end.
http://imageshack.us/a/img341/4746/eqragnelegs.png

Ragne's will jump around if they get backed into a corner (it hurts/stuns if you're caught in the shockwave when they land). They can call down sheets of red lightning -which can be avoided by moving away from the red "targets" on the ground.
http://imageshack.us/a/img692/3871/eqragneredlightiningb.png

The also have their own Red/black version of Zan, which is released in three waves. They will also attack with their pincers and will sweep at you with their legs if you're in range.

Falz Hunar
[SPOILER-BOX]
Fights up-close and personal. So if you're a squishy class, don't pull hate from him -.-;

Only breakable point is the sword, which is excessively weak to Light.

http://imageshack.us/a/img560/1649/eqhunarredlight.png
Hunar has 3 phases. Phase one is when he first spawns and his attacks are pretty tame. Mostly just dashing attacks to close distances and followed up by a 1-2 hit combo of fists, has a behind kick as well. He can also jump up and do a targeted homing kick. His other attacks in phase one involve him punching the floor and summoning 3 red lasers that track (really well) the primary hate target, he also goes into a red shield bubble (90% damage reduction) which explodes after ~2 seconds doing moderate damage and inflicting poison on anyone hit (Small area of effect)

After a fair bit of damage he starts the transition to phase two, with him holding two red balls, bringing them together and slamming them on the floor, which has a wide area of effect stun and then he summons tons of the red lasers that move outwards in a spiral (This also inflicts heavy damage and the 'injury' status effect). Afterwards he gets his sword out and phase two begins.

Phase two is pretty hectic, he gains access to a lot more abilities (and adds hits/damage to every phase one ability) - The most common being a (up to) 5 hit sword combo (Like the phase one fist attack, but 3 ground hits and then he flings you up in the air for two more hits). He also gets a speedrain 3 hit combo. He summons 5 homing lasers instead of 3 that additionally inflict the injury status effect. This phase is pretty relentless, its quite easy to get combo'd and die if you're not careful due to his very aggressive attacking style. He can also pick up your character if you're in melee range, jump up and throw you down (chokeslam kinda effect) for massive (500+) damage. This phase ends after about 90 seconds when he uses overend, OR when you break his sword.

Phase three is pretty much the same as phase 2, he throws his sword away (this just floats around the general area, hitting for minor damage and just being annoying more than threatening). He has access to every attack from phase 2, apart from over-end/speed rain. Im not sure what triggers it, but I think after a set amount of time he transitions back into phase 2 so you can have another attempt at breaking the sword, his sword attacks are weaker if its broken as well.

His weakspot is the orange point on his chest.

He can cause 'injury' status. Most commonly applied after being hit by the red lasers, this cuts off 1/8th of your max hp per application. Can be anti'd/sol atomiser'd to clear every stack at once

Weak to Light and Lightning

Rare Variant: none
Possible status effects: None. However if you do a vast amount of damage in a short time you can trigger a quick 'stagger' animation on Hunar, he laughs it off and lasts maybe 2 seconds

Note: He loves to swap targets quite commonly and without any warning -not sure if he does a hate dump or just decides to fixate on attacking another person after a set duration, so your not really safe during the fight

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Falz Arms
[SPOILER-BOX]
Stage one of the main Falz EQ. The hand's weak point is the large orb at their back (where the wrist would be) and the smaller one in the centre of the palm.
http://imageshack.us/a/img255/948/eqfalzhands.png
(Pictured: Falz Arms's main weakpoint)

The fingernails ("finger-heads"?) on each hand can also be broken.
http://imageshack.us/a/img18/9461/eqfalzarmhead.png
(Pictured: Heads removed exposing another point to hit)

They are hands, so they will flick you, swat you, slam you into the ground and so forth. there are more specialised attacks where they join up -the most devastating of which is usually the Arm Train (or the Pain Train). The hands all link up and zig-zag across the arena at speed, before circling around the centre, generally killing anyone who wasn't able to dodge or guard.
http://imageshack.us/a/img819/7213/eqfalzpaintrain.png
(Pictured: The arm train)

However, it is possible to dodge the Arm Train completely! When the train forms up on the platform, it will wiggle for a moment before teleporting off the platform to begin it's zig-zag attack. You need to get under it to be in the safe zone, an approximation of which is highlighted below in green; http://imageshack.us/a/img547/7349/eqfalzhandsavoid.png
-The arm train will always miss the area it formed up on, So will the circle attack. All you need do is stand still.

Beware during this fight, Elder Falz will also fire lasers from his main body off in the distance, throw meteors and do targeted arm-missile attacks (These are easy to avoid, there's a large red circle on the ground before they fall through). More often than not, Elder Falz's auxiliary attacks do much less damage than the arms train. There are times when it is possible to use that to your advantage, as you would have a moment of being invincible while the stand-up animation plays. If you can time that so that's when the arm train passes over you, you can avoid the hit.

Elder Falz
[SPOILER-BOX]
There are many guides for this already, and I have no screens at the moment, so just the relevant points:

http://imageshack.us/a/img854/8263/falz1.jpg
Phase one: DO NOT shock him. You'll only make people angry at you. If you happen to charge a lightning spell, turn around and fire it off into space. Target the red areas on his wrists and destroy his arms.

Phase two: When he re-grows his arms, start breaking them again. the ones on the bottom, which hold the platform, will never break, so for maximum drops ignore those and focus on the others. The arms at the very top can only be reached if he's shocked, so if you have an organised multiparty, once he is shocked you should all focus on the arms that come down in the middle of the arena (right above his head when upright). Unfortunately, each time Falz is shocked, he gains resistance against it, so you only have approximately six to eight shocks. (seven have been recorded)*
http://imageshack.us/a/img823/7858/falz3.jpg
(Pictured Above: Stage 2 Falz doing his Meteor attack, his arms still intact
Below: Stage 2 Falz with only one breakable arm remaining (on the right))
http://imageshack.us/a/img259/3968/falzonehanded.png

Falz attacks with palm-thrusts, arm sweeps, lasers, targeted hand missiles (as in Hands EQ) and meteors. He also has an attack wherein he grabs the platform and body-slams it.

Detailed Strategy
[SPOILER-BOX]

Stage one: Destroy the four upper arms by hitting the exposed weakspot on the wrist. Generally you'll start with the arms on the left (his right). Do not shock him, do not attack the core/lower arms (be careful which arm you are attacking when the wrists are exposed)

Stage two: On each side there are three lower arms and two higher. Of the three lower arms, one is the lowest and unbreakable so ignore it. When he exposes the wrists of the two other arms, destroy them. Do not use shock/lightning for this stage. A good Ranger in the party should ensure that only the breakable arms ever have weak bullet on them, so it is usually safe to play follow-the-weak-bullet. (there is a symbol art showing the order the arms should be broken in, when I have the presence of mind, I'll snag a screenshot of it.) Once those arms are broken on each side, you'll have the two lower, unbreakable arms, and four arms above his head that are unreachable, remaining.

At this point the forces in the party should use uncharged Zonde and Sazonde to try and shock him. Uncharged because we want the shock effect while doing the least amount of damage, so he has enough HP remaining for all arms to be broken.

Once he is shocked the party will go for the exposed wrists, usually(/always) starting with the arms on the left side of the field (his right arms). You will have to shock him more than once to get all four of the upper arms. Forces, while his wrists are exposed, switch to light -Do not try to double shock him.

Once the four upper arms are broken, all that remains are the two lowest arms. So go for the core, and kill him!

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Weak to Light and Lightning

Rare Variant: None
Possible status effects: Shock*

*6-8 times only, Note; it is possible to shock him again whilst he is shocked, this causes the arms to go all-over the place.

[/SPOILER-BOX]

Chrome Dragon
[SPOILER-BOX]
In the First Form, his breakable parts are his head and his tail. His legs have heavy armor and his body light armor, while head and tail recieve full damage. After the head and tail are broken, they will not regenerate, and become a weak spot.
http://imageshack.us/a/img16/5928/eqchromenoparts.png

His attacks in the First Form are scratch/slashes, charge attack (2 times), a slow energy sphere attack (he will shoot around 5), two grab attacks, of which you can get free from only one of them, a knock-back roar (kind of like Banther/Banshee, but faster), and he will throw a block to the players in his area.

After he's been damaged to 75% (in solo play), it will roar and summon Darker mobs far away. These will attack both Chrome Dragon and the players.

Eventually, he will absorb the mobs he'd previously summoned, and gain the Second Form.

Chrome Dragon will speed up his scratch attack, he will throw more blocks, his energy spheres will become more powerful, he'll charge faster, and he will gain three new attacks: He can start flying and throw dark pillars to the players, he can shoot a laser which will cover an area of 135º in front of him as he aims, from his left to his right, and he can eventually get on the ceiling to try to crush the players with a block rain.
http://imageshack.us/a/img829/8660/eqchromeblock.png

Other things to note regarding 2nd form:
-Destroying the blue chest will remove chrome's laser and charged homing ball attacks
-Destroying the claws/hands will revert his claw frenzies and front charge attacks (and maybe ground-pillar spikes if that isn't related to his wings).
-Destroying the wings will disable his flight, including block rain and Chrome storm. Bonus animation if you destroy them while he's airborne (quite funny too).
-He gets fatigued after a certain number of attacks.
-The parts he can grow depends on how many mobs are absorbed, in the order:
Chest, Arm, Wing (I think).
-the parts he grows from eating darkers are weak to dark; default breakables+his usual body are weak to light.

http://imageshack.us/a/img717/821/eqchromeeatarks.png
(Prictured: One of Chome Dragon's attacks, he prepares to eat an Arks member)

Mr. Umblla
[SPOILER-BOX]
Is getting his own section.

Possibly the easiest "boss" in the game. When he appears and starts to descend, arrange your party equally around him.
http://imageshack.us/a/img12/8530/equmbladecends.png

Mr Umblla will spin around (possibly several times) and then hit out with his stick, he will hit out twice. If both of these hits land, he is happy and you win the code/the possibility of his rare drops
http://imageshack.us/a/img18/7316/equmblathwack.png

Do not attack him, or he will become upset and you will fail the code [SPOILER]and Cal will hunt you down and murder you for costing her ANOTHER chance at the Umblla Rod

...I assume by breaking vol dragon's tail twice you mean "you can break it again once it reforms". and not "you can break it again while it's broken"

Caledonia

Yes, I shall change that immediately ^^;

SociableTyrannosaur
Feb 27, 2013, 03:01 PM
In that case, yes I've broken his tail up to 4 times in one fight, though you likley wont see it done more than twice now adays. Every time you break the crystal it reforms with more HP than the last one, so it becomes increasingly harder to do. It should also be noted that damage to his tail is also damage to him so there's no downside to doing this especially since on hard mode and above, his super nova can oneshot anyone unfortunate enough to get hit by it.

I should also note the more advanced his armor is, the longer it takes for him recover once the tail is broken. if you break the crystal while he has no armor he'll roar and shake his head. At his first layer of armor he'll actually hit the ground and lay there for a few seconds allowing you to actually climb ontop of him. With full armor he'll be down for much longer allowing people much more time to climb on his back and attack his horns.

Breaking either of his horns staggers him, interrupting any action he's in the middle of.

Also it should be noted that like QD, his head is a stagger point. if you do enough damage to it, he'll reel back and stop whatever he's doing - this includes rebuilding his tail.

If he's staggered while reconstructing his tail he has to start all over, giving you plenty of time to keep attacking without any threats.

So a good strategy for him is to let him dive, break his tail, break his back horn to stop him from regenerating,, break his front horn to stop him from regenerating then attack his head to stagger him and stop him from regenerating. By now he'll be very low on health and should die before he's staggered again.

Aaaaaaaand all that is going straight into his section, aren't you a font of helpful info today? ^^

SociableTyrannosaur
Feb 27, 2013, 03:54 PM
Yeah I'm a font alright.

I'll try to offer more boss strategies later.

Btw on Ragne it should be noted that breaking all 4 legs will cause her to let out a low howl before collapsing completely and afford a much longer period of time to attack her weakpoint. It's a common strategy to use the downtime of the first broken leg to break another leg and so on until all 4 legs are broken, then go all out on her core.

If I were you, I'd also list any SEs the bosses were weak to and any effects SEs have. For example, while Fang Banthers/Banshees are not susceptible to burn, they can be lit on fire. I've only personally seen this done while they're up in the trees, but in this case it causes them to fall out of the trees and roll around to put the fire out.

It's also important to note that unlike the snow variants, the fangs have no breath attack and instead will hide in the trees and pounce from above when their health is low. in addition breaking the claws actually makes it impossible for then to get traction, so their lunge attacks because far less threatening due the fact that they actually fall over and have to get back up on every pass, allowing more time to heal, regroup or attack after each one.

Lastly I'd try to list any drops associated with breakable parts.

Great thread! Just a bit of input: Perhaps you could do a different color or shape for weak points vs. breakable parts, then do both when a breakable part becomes a weak point?

Like de malmoth. Its hump/fin could be a square, or blue circle. Then banshee's head hitbox could be a blue circle or red box in a red circle.

Also, here's a list of the status effects each boss can have: http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E7%8A%B6%E6%85%8B%E7%95%B0%E5%B8%B8%E3% 83%BB%E5%B1%9E%E6%80%A7%E3%83%BB%E5%A4%A9%E5%80%99 %E5%A4%89%E5%8C%96#o1bae552

Big Vader: Shock* (Only on main core or chest cannon [unsure which], forces chest cannon to briefly drop to the deck)
King Vader: Shock* (Only on main core or chest cannon [unsure which], forces chest cannon to briefly drop to the deck)

*Special behavior, does not qualify as a bonus for Fighter's Chase Advance or Chase Bind skills

Zeshrayda the turtle.

When Zesh is completely withdrawn into his shell there are a few things to know beforehand. One, if there is a weak-bullet placed within the shell, with the right positioning, deadly archer can hit the right hitspot and gain damage bonus from WB. When the shell starts to shake, be on your guard. Zesh will stick its head out for a few seconds and enough damage will topple zesh over on his shell. Not many people know this but toppling zesh on his back damages his cannons, and can destroy a cannon completely.

Wolga

I only have one real tip to offer for this one. If you're playing melee and the wolga you are fighting is throwing himself at you, don't fear. You can take advantage of this attack pattern. Proceed to dodge his assault but dash toward him. It takes wolga a good two seconds after he has finished sliding on the ground to turn around and throw himself again. Within this time, he crouches and exposes his weak spot. I usually proceed to DA him within this time and then dodging his charge, and repeating the same procedure again and again. Should work the same with hunter and SA.

Gwanahda

When Gwanahda has someone in his mouth, he is stunnable. Hunters and gunners can stun him I believe.

You should note that the Falz hands can have the tips of the fingers (fingernails? Dunno if I'd call them that though...) broken.

Falz HUnar does have a weak point by the way. I think its either his head or the center of his chest, but my sazonde dobuled from 1.6k to 3.3k or so ticks on him on one area (no this is not because of stances, I've had both damage ticks going at once).

You should also add in the the special form of Tranmizer that only Tranzexia has where it becomes a massive cannon. Its definitely something that can take you by surprise.

I shall consider this... actually no, I'll do it, just maybe tomorrow (or tonight if insomnia hits) and add the statuses now

Tranmizer's rare form can turn into a cannon and hop around firing beams at you....Other than that I haven't noted any behavioral differences between any of them.

All rare darkers lose their weakness to light. So while ragne is weake to fire and light Agrani(sp?) is weak only to fire. same is true for the others as well.

Rare fangs I think are only weak to fire and not wind...might be the other way around. I hardly see these guys so I just can't recall.

Stat effects wise most are the same, though giga has some noted differences listed on page 1.

oh and I listed so more boss strategies on page 1.

Rockbear:
- You can escape his grab by mashing the directional and jump buttons, it's easier on controllers because you can just twirl the stick and tap X or A.
- Sometimes he goes into a frenzy and spams somersaults non-stop, to get him to stop simply dodge behind him.

Banshee/Banthers:
- Breaking their claws causes them to lose their grip and slide across the floor following their leap-attacks, giving you some breathing room.
- Fire elemental attacks directed at the mane area can cause them to catch fire and roll around on the floor for a short period of time.

Vol Dragon:
- You can easily dodge his 'supernova' by casually walking behind him. He turns too slow to keep you in his sights.
- Capable of speaking fluent Japanese apparently :-? Clever dragon.

Quartz Dragon:
- Breaking at least one of his wings causes him to momentarily collapse after performing his out-of-zone dash attack.
- Inflicting Poison on Quartz's weak/breakable parts incites a unique animation, causing them to decay and become more susceptible to damage.

Dark Ragne:
- Can still be shocked, happened to someone yesterday.

Zeshrayda:
- When losing balance, he will drop to the floor if you manage to inflict a certain amount of damage to one of his legs. Each leg has a separate total, so focus attacks on just one.

Wolgahda:
- The weak point is not the face, it's the 2 orange circles on either side of the face.

Falz Hunar:
- His sword is highly resistant to Fire and Lightning techs, if you're a FO, the easiest way of breaking it is Grants.
- His shockwaves are capable of inflicting a unique 'weakened' status effect, where your attacks will deal less damage and you take more damage. (Need someone to verify this, i'm not entirely sure). Curable with Anti or Sol Atomizer.

I have tried walking behind him many times only to end up eating the fireball anyway. I'm not sure how people are avoiding this because i sure as hell can't. Regardless, breaking his tail isn't difficult at all. in fact it's been months since since I last saw this attack.

I do find it funny that he and Falz are the only beings capable of human language according to normal game play. I dunno how fluent you'd call screaming "kill" and "why you", though.

Something that Ive noticed about rockbear while using zonde, and idk if this is rng or not, but when I TPS zonde onto the horn above its face, it consistantly does more dammage than if I target his face with zonde, and im talking a 200-300 difference (my mage class is FI/FO so id like a fo or te main to give this a shot.)

sorry for the double lol, but if youre right in his face a Just Guard will work, and if youre close enough you will make the fireball disappear, casually running to the side is also an easy way to avoid it.

And Cale is right, Hunar's shockwave only stuns, the little bits of fire inflict injury on you which lowers your max hp untill anti or a sol is used. not sure if it debuffs def though.

If you are talking about the fireball he shoots as he is flying that then sends him back down to stage I, I found that locking onto his tail (so you can see when his armor dissipates) and staying beneath him while he is in the air, then dodging as he lands is pretty effective.

Ah, and something else worth noting is certain techs have issues with certain hitboxes. One example is rafoie has trouble targeting banther & banshee heads, so grants will wind up being better regardless of masteries. Many fire fo's opt for foie instead, though.

Targeting back feet on banbans lets you hit the rear blades with zonde a lot of the time, great for more easily hitting that due to line of sight and manual aiming issues. Targeting front legs lets you hit the banther's mane blades in the same way. Make sure the legs are under these hitboxes though, as if the leg is away from the body (say, when they're running) you'll just hit the leg.

I would like to add some more info - most of this happens to be post-patch difficulty nerfs.

I'll list them by boss and note what changes, if any, exist for the bosses in each difficulty (note: I'll be doing them in the order that they appear).

Okay, without further ado:

[Rockbear]

<Extra Info - AKA Non-Nerfs>

In addition, he may force the player to kite him, as his somersault slam loops become longer - I've noticed they can go on for QUITE some time.

[Caterdran]

<Normal Mode Changes>

-Caterdran does not possess a Rage Mode on this difficulty. This removes his "Triple Snap" (triple lunge attack), and "Distortion Wheel" (AKA stunning spin attack) Rage Attacks.

[Vol Dragon]

<Normal Mode Changes>

-It takes him longer to go from Stage 1 to Stage 2, and even longer from Stage 2 to Stage 3.
-In Stage 3, he lacks his "Hellfire Storm" (AKA Flame Geyser flurry) Rage Attack, and cannot proceed to Stage 4 to use "Super Nova"
-At about 50% HP, his AI will force him to dive underground almost immediately after recovery to enter Stage 2.

<Hard Mode Changes>

-His form changes remain in their pre-patch state.
-He still lacks "Hellfire Storm" and "Super Nova"
-At 50% HP, he will act the same as his normal mode counterpart, however he will skip Stage 2 and go directly to Stage 3 at this point.

<Extra Info>

-During Stage 3, his "Hellfire" attack becomes "Twin Hellfire" and two geysers will pop out during this attack.
-As a melee class, it is impossible to eliminate his back horn - this is a weak spot where ranged classes are the only ones that can reach it (indeed, Forces have better access because of how certain Techs like Grants and Zonde work).

[Gwanadha]

<Extra Info>

-During his "Void Vice" (AKA vacuum chomping) attack, if there is another Gwanadha nearby using it as well, it is almost certain that the other Gwanadha can use it as well, leading to what I term "Vice Cancel".
-If you do not eliminate all of his bits in time, Gwanadha will respawn any that have perished. "Void Vice" usually comes along with this, as this attack is used as his Bit spawning attack.

[Snow Cats AKA Banthers]

<Normal Mode Changes>

-Both Banthers are far less aggressive, though they have not been nerfed in terms of damage.
-The Big Cat AKA Banther has his usual three-hit combo reduced to two hits.
-In exchange for his three-hit being nerfed, he has a "Twin Arc Swipe" attack where he takes large swipes at you horizontally.
-It is no longer possible for the Big Cat to intrude on your fight with the Small Cat (AKA Banshee).

[Big Vardha]

<Extra Info>

-The hitbox on the Flamethrower bits are very deceiving - I have stood in an area where I thought the blaze would not touch me and yet have been burnt by it. So taking out the Flamethrowers would DEFINITELY be a top priority.

-When his chest compartment comes out, pay attention to the color - yellow light signifies he will send out his little drone friends (which do damage by ramming into you). These yield no EXP, but are a large nuisance if left unchecked.

Blue light, however, signals the use of his "Particle Blaster" - and he is capable of using this whilst stationary or he can slide from either side of the arena and sweep down that way.

-When he uses his "Critical Current" (AKA his red electric ground wave) attack, DO NOT step on the platforms leading to his core. They are part of the attack if you hit it whilst the lightning is there. However, the attack is HEAVILY floor based, meaning that jumping will make it miss you entirely. Also, it seems to be limited to his chest in terms of its berth, meaning that you could very well stand on the outer edges and not get hit.

-Killing the frontal Particle Cannons is suicide for melee - don't even try it. You will be vaporized on the spot.

I can confirm the normal banthers, fairly certain he's right about the bots but I'd have to log-in to confirm.

Also, the comment about Vol's back horn and melee is wrong. When vol is down the horn is very easy to reach for melee. it is also very easy to reach with a well placed rising edge. Additionally, fighter can lock-on and and use raging waltz to approach then combo while almost completely immune to attack due to height.

Okay, I just need to reply to these.
The platforms being electrified is false, tested firsthand. Will test again to confirm.

Killing the bow laser cannons is NOT suicide for melee. Taking all four hits is. A good strategy is to get a guinea pig to bait the cannons while you're jumping on top of vader, then jump down onto the cannon area. It's a platform that you can stand on, and you will not be pushed off when the hatches close. You can clip the cannons and stand behind them, meaning you will be missed by the lasers. You can also just guard/dagger twirl/step to avoid the damage in front when solo, and some attacks will bring you up to them. The threat is in being hit by 3-4, NOT just one, so if 2 cannons are down you'll probably survive just fine unless it's a level 3 infected vader. Daggers will easily bring you up to them while giving you hyper armor to keep from being knocked down, and so will trick rave. Over end's hitbox is large enough that even from behind where they can aim at you the first two swings will easily connect despite the cannons appearing to be too high, and obviously so will the third. One cannon often dies in the first two swings, and if you used it soon enough the third swing can kill a second cannon.

edit: You can run up to vol from about a 20-30 degree angle from the front and then jump, and if you time it just right pressing the target button will let you lock vol's back horn. I use this method all the time as a FO. In AQ's. It is VERY easy to take no damage while doing this, providing you can read his pretty obvious tells.

Just to second something from before, I checked and bots do indeed give exp.

Caledonia
Mar 1, 2013, 09:33 AM
Okay, bot EXP mentioned.

A query of my own now, someone (Gigawuts I think?) mentioned "Including drops associated with breakable parts"

My understanding was that "there are drops associated with a boss and breaking a part increased the overall number of drops, therefore increasing the likelihood of the rare drop." (Theory A)

But from that I infer "There are drops that you don't have a chance of getting unless a specific part is broken" (Theory B)

Is Theory A right, or Theory B ---or is Theory B a corollary to Theory A?

Bellion
Mar 1, 2013, 09:45 AM
Well, there are certain drops linked to breakable parts on bosses. I'm going to have to use the Quartz Dragon as an example since I only break the nose. If you don't break the nose, you will have a 0% chance of getting a rear unit. If you only break the nose, you will only have a chance at getting the rear unit. The arm and leg units are linked to different parts of the Quartz Dragons.

Hope that makes sense. I've killed plenty of Quartz Dragon and haven't gotten a unit other than the rear since I only break the nose. I actually break the other parts of a Crys Draal though since I'm not sure if the rare PAs are linked to it.

Caledonia
Mar 1, 2013, 09:51 AM
Ok, so Theory B then. Is there a list somewhere of the associations? I don't recall seeing one on Cirnopedia anyway...

Bellion
Mar 1, 2013, 10:03 AM
No, I don't think there are any lists right now. I think I'll go after bosses that have units linked to their breakable parts and collect some data for that.

This boss bestiary is awesome.
Perhaps send this in to the folks behind the arkive?

Question on Zesh : Is his tail breakable?

Also for vol dragon : an alternative to attempt staggering vol is freezing his legs during the tail recovery phase.

gigawuts
Mar 1, 2013, 08:21 PM
Just confirming Theory B re: breakable parts.

Breaking a part is like killing an entirely separate enemy that you can't collect loot from until the boss dies. A broken part DOES NOT AFFECT the boss's ordinary drops. Breaking a part will not increase or decrease a boss' main drops. Not breaking a part will not increase or decrease a boss' main drops. It's entirely separate, but they all drop from the crystal.

Also confirmed standing on vader's chest cannon platforms - any of the levels - does not get you electrocuted when he does that ground zap attack.

edit: Also, great job on the list so far! I wanted to add that the banshee's head & mane blades are different from the banther's. The banther's are elevated ABOVE the head. The head is always a weak point for the banther. The banshee however, has its head hitbox as the breakable mane. Its head only becomes a weak point after you break it (Like quartz' nose).

Ha ha yeah I guess I kind of over explained it. It was something the EN community didn't fully understand for a long time, so when we finally found out a lot of people had a hard time either understanding the concept or understanding the wording. I guess I'm in the habit of explaining it a bunch of ways to best convey the idea, heh.

I feel like there's more info...

Oh! The cannons on Zesh's back can all be broken. I'm not sure what it changes, if the cannonballs deal less damage or what, but...they can break.

I've also heard that Chrome Dragon eats/absorbs the mobs that spawn with it and grows stronger - Like a PSO Nano Dragon. Can someone confirm for me?

It does. It periodically vacuums all of the darkers in the near vicinity into a sphere which it then eats and may or may not power up after, depending on how many darkers were consumed, with it gaining an obvious blue glow on its chest at max power.

It's also advisable that you allow it to do so, as it gains new breakable parts whenever it powers up, which are presumably what drops its units. Initially, it doesn't even have any breakable parts, so killing it off quickly won't get you much in the way of loot.

You deal more damage on the cannon areas when they are broken. No point in doing so since you can just lock-on the head anyway.

You missed out the part where during Falz Arms, Falz in the background will also fling meteors and do a ground targeting hand missile attack (a big red circle appears where it's going to land)

Falz also says different lines depending on what attack he is going to use. This goes for Elder and Hunar as well, but I don't really want to say it all right now ._.

Yes he does. He also sometimes fires a laser that sweeps across the platform. Both of these things can even happen with all the arms are in Train formation (which sometimes leads to someone getting lasered or meteored while concentrating on not getting hit by the train).

Hunar has 3 phases. Phase one is when he first spawns and his attacks are pretty tame. Mostly just dashing attacks to close distances and followed up by a 1-2 hit combo of fists, has a behind kick aswell. He can also jump up and do a targeted homing kick. His other attacks in phase one involve him punching the floor and summoning 3 red lasers that track (Really well) primary hate target, he also goes into a red shield (90% damage reduction) which explodes after ~2 seconds doing moderate damage and inflecting poison on anyone hit (Small area of effect)

After a fair bit of damage he starts the transition to phase two, with him holding two red balls, bringing them together and slamming them on the floor, which has a wide area of effect stun and then he summons tons of the red lasers that move outwards in a spiral (This also inflect's heavy damage and the 'injury' status effect). Afterwards he gets his sword out and phase two begins.

Phase two is pretty hectic, he gains access to alot more ability's (and adds hits/damage to every phase one ability) - The most common being a (up to) 5 hit sword combo (Like the phase one fist attack, but 3 ground hits and then he flings you up in the air for two more hits). He also gets a speedrain 3 hit combo. He summons 5 homing lasers instead of 3 that additionally inflect the injury status effect. This phase is pretty relentless, its quite easy to get combo'd and die if your not careful due to his very aggressive attacking style. He can also pick up your character if your in melee range, jump up and throw you down (choke slam kinda effect) for massive (500+) damage. This phase ends after about 90 seconds when he uses overend, OR when you break his sword.

Phase three is pretty much the same as phase 2, he throws his sword away (this just floats around the general area, hitting for minor damage and just being annoying more then threatening). He has access to every attack from phase 2, apart from over-end/speed rain. Im not sure what triggers it, but I think after a set amount of time he transitions back into phase 2 so you can have another attempt at breaking the sword, his sword attacks are weaker if its broken aswell.

Weakspots:
Im pretty sure his only weakspot is here, in the blue ring (his chest). Its surprisingly hard to apply a weakbullet/chain to it because it loves it hit his arms and due to the nature of the fight, hes moving around alot
[SPOILER-BOX]http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/8093/hunar2.jpg[/SPOILER-BOX]In addition, his sword seems highly weak to light based damage, with a weak bullet + grants on the sword it seems to shatter within seconds.

Status effects:
Posion: Short-range explosion after hes shielded himself for afew seconds (very easy to avoid)
Injury: Most commonly applyed after being hit by the red lasers, this cuts off 1/8th of your max hp per application. I've been running around with 3/8ths max hp at one point, can be anti'd/sol atomiser'd to clear every stack at once

Hes immune to every player based status effect, however if you do a vast amount of damage in a short time you can trigger a quick 'stagger' animation on Hunar, he laughs it off and lasts maybe 2 seconds.

Note: He loves to swap targets quite commonly and without any warning, im not sure if he does a hate dump or just decides to fixate on attacking another person after a set duration, so your not really safe during the fight

Caledonia - a couple of thing's first Rockbear, Tranmizer, Tranzexia, Katadran, Katadransa, Katadraal, Wolgahda, and I believe De Malmoth and Falz Hunar can be moved with Zondeel.

You can stop the flip of the Rockbear with a timed Charged Sa-Zan.

Gwanahda can take the same Status Effect's as it's arm bit's which are Burn, Mirage, Panic, Shock and Poison*(* This is very hard to do on the main body, If there was a scale from 1 to 10 for resistance it would be a 9 on this SE, since I've only done it once and still need to get a pic of it still so you could leave it out for now.)

Katadransa & De Malmoth can be Shock.

I'm pretty sure the weakspot is the orb on his chest, unless both parts count, because I get weakspot damage when I attack his chest.

Did the boss again, the only weak-hit damage I was getting with my gigas spinners was located on chest, where the marker is. (Which is also the lockon point, if you Q target it) I haven't tried TPS mode on my gunner yet, but when you can lock on to the chest's weak-spot for lazy mode, there's no need

Another thing to note, is the catadran(and its 'sa counterpart) can be effected with the bind status effect. via fighters chase bind (maybe with bind bullet aswell? needs testing however). I've only ever seen it apply twice, they appear to have a huge resistance to binding and it doesn't last very long at all but it doesn't have a complete immunity at least :3

Im also 99.9% sure the zeshrayda's tail cannot be broken, ill triple check tomorrow when the servers are up

You should add that you can avoid the hand train attack of Falz Arms very easily by just standing where it first appears. That's a blind spot, the hand train will miss that area in its sweeping attacks, and will then circle around outside it with its final attack. ^^

Where it first forms. The position on the arena where it comes up from the ground.

That position ends up being the exact center point around which it does the circular attack, so you're completely safe there, and the attacks it does where it zooms around the map also miss that point. Not many people seem to know this, but it works every time. ^^

Does breaking the Chrome Dragon's parts it gains after eating darkers cause it to lose its power-up? I noticed that its fireballs lost their reddish glow after I broke the spikes on its arms.

I didn't want that to happen, though, as it ended up dying before it reached full power, (Due to it having to regrow the arm spikes again), which denied me the chance to break everything on it.

I'd love to know if there's some good maths people've done to figure out how much resistance he gets after each shock. Is it a straight -% off of the original chance? Does it scale somehow? In which direction? Does Zondeel's 17% shock become impossible to land at some point before the other Bolt techs? Is affixing Shock on your weapon the only way to get a 7th or 8th shock? Maybe it can't go lower than 1%?

Or it just multiplies a reduction.

So Zondeel's 17% might suffer a 20% penalty per shock, cumulatively.

That would be 17%, 13.6%, 10.88%, 8.704%, etc.

It might be a 20% penalty per shock, maybe 35%, maybe 50%, I don't know.

but thank you for the picture submission!! :heartcookie:

I've added in the 6-8 shock limit for Falz and later on I'll add in my team's specific strategy, if anyone else wants to submit theirs. --And if anyone has done the maths I'll include it, but how would you account for who actually shocked him unless you only took one force (and made sure no-one had shock affixed) --who would DO that?

gigawuts
Mar 16, 2013, 10:29 AM
Well, worse than that, you'd need to do it MULTIPLE times to account for the random factor.

A better thought is bringing 11 forces, all who use synchronized zonde of the exact same level. Then you just note how many times all 11 of you fire off your zonde.

The 12th player would be someone with WB...who, let's be honest, could be FO/RA.

Caledonia
Mar 16, 2013, 10:33 AM
Zonde of the same level, lighting mastery and shock boost of the same level as well. Probably with the same weapon/equipment bonus too... I don't see anyone organising that ^^;

gigawuts
Mar 16, 2013, 10:39 AM
Equipment could all be different, and I don't think players having shock boost would be anything to worry about because it's not a particularly great skill to get. Damage would also not be an issue. You'd just need everyone to all have either zonde 14 or zonde 15 (since we can't be sure if the displayed 22% shock rate on the tech is actually 22% or if it's rounded from 21.6 at 14 while being 22.4 at 15 or somesuch, although the game files seem to suggest it's a flat 22% so...I dunno).

I think a maximum of .9% difference between 14 & 15 is acceptable though, and I don't think it varies anyway.

We could try to organize this a couple times. Honestly, due to the tiny levels of coordination, we'd probably do better than going with randoms anyway. Even two synchronized zondes is deadly, imagine 12 zondes at once striking the same target.

This is something most of you didn't notice, but when you are out from Tranzexia's sight when he is in tank form, he would immediately turn back to his former mode, able to do this by hide behind rock, step on top of a chest, hide downhill or uphill. And in his room, you can hide from him by going to the back of the tower in the upper left map.
I think Chrome has some breakable parts initially, the head and his tail. (I done the head by using techs on his head only in the previous Chrome EM. I remember in one of a Chrome video a party break his tail and there is no change to his tail when he powers up)

which one? Tranzexia? you try it, it always work 100% on me after I hid myself behind that pillar which was considered as a blindspot for him and he always end up transform back. If it doesn't work for you means that either you aren't the target in mpa or you are still in his sight

[/SPOILER-BOX]

About Chrome Dragon strategy, his movement pattern is a mixture of a slow Banshee with a Quartz Dragon. Most of his attacks are wide-ranged up front, so the best tactic for melees would be to step under his feet and sneak a deadly archer to his head.

In the First Form, his breakable parts are his head and his tail. His legs have heavy armor and his body light armor, while head and tail recieve full damage. These 2 parts, after they're broken, they do not regenerate, and become a weak spot.

His attacks in the First Form are 1 (or 2 scratches), charge attack (2 times), a slow energy sphere attack (he will shoot around 5), two grab attacks, which you can get free from only one of them, a knockback roar (kind of like banther/banshee, but faster), and he will throw 1 block to the players in his area.

After he's been damaged to 75% (in solo play), it will roar and summon mobs far away. These will attack both Chrome Dragon and the players.

Eventually, he will absorb the mobs he'd previously summoned, and gain the Second Form.

Chrome Dragon will speed up his scratch attack, he will throw more blocks, his energy spheres will become more powerful, he'll charge faster, and he will gain three new attacks: He can start flying and throw dark pillars to the players, he can shoot a laser which will cover an area of 35º in front of him as he aims, from his left to his right, and he can eventually get on the ceiling to try to crush the players with a block rain.

About his breakable parts, he'll get a blue beer belly which is breakable (stuns for 1 second), and his hands will become breakable. Both his hands get weak spot damage even when not broken.

In the Third Form, Chrome will regenerate his belly if it was broken, and his legs will become breakable.

He will gain a new attack where he can summon dark pillars under the player's feets.

Interrupting line of site is good for a lot of bosses, yeah.

And yes, both chrome's tail and head are breakable straight away. Just broke both before any darkers spawned in an EMQ last night.

Also fought the haze dragon and did not notice anything different besides some pretty nice charcoal coloring.

The hitbox for chrome's wings is surprisingly large, and they're one target. The center of their hitbox is in midair between the wings, and daggers bring you right between them. Kind of funny.

I had noticed the wings hitbox, and I have pictures I'll be editing shortly, I need to clarify some chrome dragon things though;

From what I see he grows his arms first, then wings/belly --is there anything else?

Kamekur says in the third form legs are breakable, does that mean you have to /not/ break the arms/wings in form 2 so he doesn't have to re-grow those?

For some reason Snow Banther and Vol can be Shocked too from what I've experienced but it doesn't seem to do any noticeable change to their attack pattern (mainly because I wasn't expecting them to be Shocked in the first place to really take detailed notes).

I think you meant the laser covers an area of 135°, not 35°.
And the tail becomes a weakpoint when broken? I thought it's just the head
also:
a knockback roar (kind of like banther/banshee, but faster) which you can get free from only one of them
Get free from only one of the knockback roars when there's only one knockback roar? What?
What is this "third form" anyway? Also the dark pillar ground spike frenzy attack can happen in second form.

I gotta say though, his wings have the weirdest hitboxes I've seen: A waltz/drive can hit it like it shows on the screen, but most of the following attacks I do to it, (orchestra, quick march, regulars, etc) seem to hit his legs/ass.

I found the same thing, and even stranger was they still dealt WB damage and even broke the wings (the WB target was just floating in midair between the wings)

Haha, actually the fact is that when the wings were made in the 3D design software, they were from one base item, and when they were perfected, the target ended up way too high. That or test players keeps having problems which always ended up attacking the body instead of the wing while locking on the wing and that made SEGA to have the target that high.

Oh, my bad. I've been editing my post a lot to add things I forgot and I mixed up the grabs with the roar ^^; . Talking about the roar, it only hits once, so you can step into it with the right timing. And I ate that 1 in the angle, too. I knew he grew wings, but I hadn't tried to break them yet. Good to know.

He can grab and simply throw you away, or grab, munch your head for a bit, and throw you away. You can't escape from the second one.

You can escape from Rockbear (must add that) and Gilnas arms grab. Don't think you can escape Gwanahada unless someone kills all the bits while you're grabbed --directional + attack input is the key to escaping a grab

About Hunar:

Weakspot is most definitely the weakspot on his chest (the circle), not the bit in the middle. I tested earlier during a Den, and I only got extra damage when attacking the dot with Rafoie / Normal attack. Tried to take a screen but was kinda hard since Hunar moves a lot.

Caledonia
Mar 31, 2013, 09:20 AM
Just to clarify that;

Hunar's weakpoint is the orange circle on his chest, not the orange bits directly above his hips where the lock-on target is?

(i.e; not the bit circled on the picture in the guide?)

Bellion

Just noticed this hasn't been added for a while.

Banshee and Banther have two roars; one is delayed and one is prioritized. Dealing enough damage triggers them both. The delayed one requires slightly less damage. By delayed, I mean that they will proceed to attack once or twice before performing a roar. The prioritized one requires you to deal quite a bit more damage than what would trigger a delayed one and they will roar before deciding to attack.

Yes, I confirm that. He has a weak spot on his chest. Melees can reach it by jumping with deadly archer.

Yes, but it is really hard on keyboard. I'd suggest you to switch to controller if you're a melee or have a controller conected so you can spin easily. My stunlock has gone from 3 seconds to less than 1 since I use a controller.

However, there are some moves you can't escape from, like Gwanahda's bites and one of Chrome's grabs.

Eh, it's good enough for me to just have my three fingers go ASDASDDASDASDADADSDSADASDSDSADSDS.
Sure it takes a while but it works.

And if attack input actually does help, there's also the slash key '/' for that.
Rather not use controller; I love my f1~f10 keys.
and I don't even have a suitable one anyway

Caledonia - add in that you can stop and break the Rock Bear's flip's with a Charge Sa-Zan which Zondeel can't. Thank you.:)

Picture's below for proof

[SPOILER-BOX]http://www.pso-world.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=821&pictureid=35133http://www.pso-world.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=821&pictureid=35134http://www.pso-world.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=821&pictureid=35135[/SPOILER-BOX]

The PRO's of this is you don't need to chase or dodge it and it goes into recovery afterward's for more beat down best in parties.
Rock Bear's starting flip animation is a short hop forward then a tuck. just time it right there, if you miss it you can still miss up his flip if done in the air before he hit's his max height. But you can stop full chain's with this.

It can move him normally like Zondeel too, just shorter with damage pinpoint from a distance.

From the Dragon EX section:

"He attacks by forming extensions to his crystal appendages -either arm or both. It is possible to anticipate his attack based on what appendage is grown. "

You can also slow down the forming of these extensions by breaking the arm, giving you more time to react.

First post here- I'd like to say this thread has been very helpful to me and my friends so thank you very much everyone.

On Ragne:
Not sure if it's been pointed out yet but FOs, TEs, or anyone subbing those classes can still hit Ragne's weakspot with Techs even if it's not down. After you've downed it once, get a lock on the weakspot and spam from there.

My friend who used a Ranger a while back also mentioned hitting Ragne's weakspot with the splash damage from launcher attacks whenever he tried hitting the back.

On Falz Elder:
Dunno if this has been pointed out as well but it's possible to Just Guard his meteor attacks.
