View Full Version : Should we continue the petition?

Poll is over, requesting deletion.

Reason for this poll, is because I want the community's input. I started the petition, yes...
However, this was a group effort, and shall continue as such.

Given that Edward confirmed the delay, do you guys/gals feel that their response was enough?
Even though they haven't given much info besides the obvious? Will continuing this petition
Be a waste of time?

Or do we need to update what the petition states?

I doubt it would have an effect. If they're working on it, then they're working on it. A petition isn't going to make it any faster. I just wish they would communicate more.

Pretty much this.

I've tried to petition SEGA about their games since 2004. Last one I signed was Valkyria Chronicles petition and that was because I really love the game and my friends asked me to.

All these petitions never got a single reaction, much less a response from SEGA.

So I think there's no point here either.

I feel like this is probably just a way to bump your poll and agree that there will be no impact to have two petitions. We'll just have to wait.

Sorry brah we got the we wanted and gonna have sit the wait just a bit longer and like everyone else here I love Sega but man they need to be a bit more open with themselves and communicate more.

We already knew that it was going to be delayed. We already waited 9 months.
Let'em work on it, it's their decision to release info not ours. (although communication from Sega would be nice.)

Besides we still have the JP version around with us, so not like there nothing to wait for already.

Meh... Aida and others are working on translations.. soon the NA version will not really matter.

I say give them some space at this point.

Mar 31, 2013, 03:06 PM
agreed, screw official translations, lets rely on google translate patches *eyeroll*

anyway, I doubt SEGA really cares much about us. they probably figure they can take as much time as they want/need and people will just eat it up when it gets here.

Maybe they're right

I think that if we really want us to be heard is more than just writing a sign up in a pettitions page. Like again I repeat, most of the change of desitions of Japanese companies is how welcoming in the west this series might be. I think that PSO got a LOT OF FLAWS TOO but it was way more welcome than PSO2 currently is. And even some people defend the title so hard, I think PSO was better known than this one, that got obscured after the huge fails of SoA with PSU and SoJ moving into portables.

What Im saying is that, we need more fans, I don't info about PSO2 anyway out of the blogs and this site. Streamers are getting a good amount of views because their active everyday. I think that if SEGA doesn't care in promoting this at all, like Bandai did to america, then its the turn for the community. We need to let people outside know more about this game, unlike PSU there's lot of strong points we can defend disregarding the japanese culture differences. But yeah negative points on this game are really hard to avoid if the negativity of the community keeps increasing.

The reason why I suddenly think, I should LP this is because, whenever I flashback to PSU, the people I liked most were the PSU LPers and the ones making skit films above the top players who I barely remember now a days. Because I can clearly see who was possitive and who was negative with the game. But yeah first part of doing something is to believe, and try to find a way out. If we really want this game to be noticed, then we need to convince more people to get into it! And I can tell you, PSO2 even as what it is now is way more convincing for me than any other free to play title out there!

the petition should be continued. SEGA is going to give us the shaft when it comes to pso2.

I'm not going to do another petition. However, if you or someone else wants to start another one up, then you or that someone else will have my full support.
http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=204785 Here is the original thread for the petition I started. I'm sure you can learn from the losses and gains of the process.

My advice... make sure time is taken to get the input from other fans about how to go about revising it so that there will be an agreement on the final statement going forward. In this way, the petition will have a stronger voice. Surely now, we have more friends that are interested in this release, that we may draw up more support this go round. It has been proven before time and time again... IF there are enough signers on a particular petition (and there has to be a lot, say 25,000 or close to it), the recipient in question is obligated to speak publicly on the matter. Heck, if we can just get half the people who like'd the FB page to sign, we should get a response.

I could have sworn I requested for this thread to be deleted long while back. I'm guessing there is a reason why it hasn't yet.

The latest news I read a few days ago is that the game is already completely translated.
But there is a much more disturbing issue, SEGA has doubts that the game will be profitable in the west. :-( Thus it may never be released in the US or anywhere else.
I hope in the end they will at least decide to officially open the Japanese servers (at least some dedicated ships) to non Japanese players and have the translated version running there.

I don't get any latency issues myself. I suggest trying out this program.

Well, at least you have one thing you can brag about, lol

wait don't you live in Vegas? Why does it say Reston, VA is less than 50mi?

Anyway, my internet is "shit" if we're going by these goofy speed test results, but I don't get any latency at all, except during EQ floods, of course.
