What parts do you like to use? This game being the waifu simulator it is, I hardly ever see casts that aren't dolled up in some way so it's hard to get a feel for what's popular as far as parts go. So what shiny bits do you use and maybe even post a picture?

I actually do have a Male CAST alt (Hunter, while my loli-bot is Fighter). But I designed him to look exactly like Falz Hunar, its all shaded and not telling the parts : p It's a character for looking badass, not actual strong stats thou :3

I will do anything for those arms, OP. Someone was selling them on visi for 90k and I was like oh happy day I only need 10k more and then someone else probably got them and the next price down is about 400k which I'm not going to be able to break comfortably for another like, 10 levels. sigh.

I'm really into the epaulets esque arms, and if I could get legs like that female cast and keep the Gundam head I think it would look pretty badass. Simple casts looks aren't really cool to me, I'm into huge shoulder armor and kinda thin legs with maybe the tail like on the default 3 legs. Kind of like "V" or "Y" proportions. Not a fan of "X" for cast.

Well as far as ship 4 goes, they usually float around the 200~220K range.

And as much as I hate to recommend them, the Time Attack Client Orders that Klotho gives pay a TON of cash, so you could afford them in no time if you do those.

I bought the Oratorio head expecting to like it more, but for some reason the coloring on it doesn't match the PSO2 parts quite right. But hey, I got it while it was cheap (assuming it's no longer available in the future).

And all these pics of the Angriff head is really making me want to add the Angriff CV head to my catalog of parts. Too bad it's 2M, I'm not too excited over paying that much for a head part.

I'm pretty surprised I see the Hilbert Arms as much as I do on Caseals. I figured the size of them would put them pretty low on the list, but I have to say that's a nice looking character Mike.

I also amended the thread title to just be Casts in general, the more the merrier.

I did not make that character. I was admiring it, and I posted that image to see if I could get information on the parts. It was created by a Japanese player. But never the less we can all praise it ^^.

And your Oratorio set looks good as well, I think it benefits more from a slimmer character. I just wish it matched better with the PSO2 parts, but being from different games I can't really expect that to work perfectly.

well my mecha standards are not that /m/ high. My caseal taste comes wether they look like dolls, wear a big armor, or look designed on base of an actual Mecha (I'm really liking the Gundam Unicorn Caseal a friend made). Hence why I didn't like much from caseals from PSU pre-AotI, and so as those players who play caseal to just sexualize the race with really silly catchphrases and fabulous hairstyles.

I know. I don't post Gifs when I'm serious. XD I actually only recently started having Milla wear cast parts on a regular basis because there aren't many caseal torsos I like other than the lamia one, which I only recently got.

I expect good things from this week's update, the PSPo2 parts and the gender reversed Ronia set both look like something a robot would, err, wear (Helma, Grizz set, I'm looking at you... admittedly Grizz set wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have that stupid forced color, this purple is horrible).

I like the armored look I gave my caseal, it looks tough without being too blocky.

Hey the Lamia head is awesome. Cooler than a regular face. It's the cool parts that set us apart from the meatbags, so we should use them. The awesome physical stats are nice too.

Well originally I was planning on just Casts but Caseals are in the same boat here. Most every Caseal I see is running around with some kind of dress on instead of actual parts.

Caseals are probably worse off since there are way more female characters than male ones and Sega really loves to crank out dresses.

So many awesome Cast/Caseals in here.
I am a big fan of Casts, because people have the ability to get so creative with them color wise. However, I think Casts and Caseals lack very much in Part variety and we badly need more styles. Sometimes it can be quite hard to mix and match some parts, especially if some parts have extra colors on them (like the Lisa parts having yellow and white in them, and the Griss parts those purple).

I'll post my two Caseals in here too. I never wear fleshy clothes with them, and I try to find/mix parts that also fit to their classes.

Syrenne, Hunter sub Ranger. I am a sucker for these parts on her, especially the body and leg parts I love them! I also gave her these parts to make her upper body look stronger and capable of handling heavy weapons while being speedy in the legs.

Its the colossus CV. The regular colossus head is 1.5MIL (on Ship 2......Yikes)

One thing misleading about those set pictures are you need the right proportions to make it work. Since I started off with Dista Arms and Fauma Legs, I made my cast too skinny and now the other parts just look off.

Default HUcast proportions here (Except with height maxed), and I find pretty much every part fits quite snugly. It's nice really, as I can wear pretty much everything with nice proportions. o/

Only problem is the legs are reaaaaaaaallllllly long and I look so terribly silly in fleshy outfits. :wacko:

Its okay Aim I forgive you ^_^ You probably didn't know any better and you have every right to shun the humanoid males, although I don't mind them they should atleast wear a cast "helmet" from time to time though.

My Caseal in all her glory I'm still going to hunt down parts that would go good on her for sure I'll be gunning for the Illusion and Medium heads. This actually looks good for default parts.

This is very cool for a flesh cast, The color of her flesh is so lifeless and evil looking it still maintains a robotic feel.

I didn't want to post, since my character isn't caseal for the sake of being caseal. I had a specific look in mind when I made her, and caseal was just closest to that look. Because of this, I don't try going for a robotic look, which is why I didn't post in this thread. Still, she's a caseal, and she definitely doesn't look like any fleshling, so I suppose she's worth posting.

With the way I've designed Luna's outfits so far, they (in my opinion) tend to look better in motion, since her hair and parts of her outfit are intended to trail behind her. I also try to keep them sleek and simple, so pieces of the outfit sticking out that clip through weapons and look silly while she's doing Gunner flips are a no-no. Basically, I'm trying to give the impression that Luna is agile and acrobatic on the battlefield.

And that's why I like caseal. You can do so many things with them that you can't on other characters. With female fleshy, it's hard to be anything but a cute sexy waifu. With male fleshy, it's hard to be anything but the hero who always has the spot light. And with cast, it's hard to be anything that isn't a large mecha.
But with caseal, there are so many options.

So I just looked through the entire thread, and I'm impressed. There's really no copy-casts in parts or color. As someone mentioned about halfway through the thread, everyone seems to be a special snowflake. I'm still the only guy using the Guboid head and a Black/White/Yellow color scheme, I expected to see at least one other person with one of them.

Maybe the slight creepy vibe is due to Luna's somewhat doll-like appearance.
Dolls and people/things that look like dolls sometimes tend to invoke the uncanny valley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley).

In-character, she also likes to act creepy and mentally unhinged sometimes, just for lulz gotten from freaking other people out... But she never seriously means it. So there's also that. (Hawk/ReaperTheAbsol knows exactly what I'm talking about. :D)

That's something that's always impressed me about the game. When you make your character, you can make whatever you want. You're giving a ton of liberty. You can really express yourself when you make your character. I even go so far as to say that you can see what a person is like, to some degree, by looking at his character.
