can't join a friend partner :(

My friend (and me) went to the purple machine and registered a card. (I didn't do much simply clicked ok without changing anything and she did some reading but I don't know what she eventually did) but when I go to the ship and choose the second tab, it is empty.

Are there missions I can not choose friend npcs or may hap we missed something?

I did send her friend invitation....

Is there partner invitation or something?
I did check the guides in this matter but I still can't figure out what is missing.

Well first of all, welcome, and your friend probably didn't register a friend partner.

You can only invite those that have registered their characters as a partner.

Have your friend go up to the Purple machine again and click on "Check partner card" if you have the english patch up. If not it's the option under registering it. If it's blank that means she didn't properly register her character.
Also make sure your accepted her friend request.

Also for the future these are situation you cannot call an npc(Note that if your friend registered it it will always appear on the second tap.)
-Emergency Quests.(You wont even be able to pull up the menu)
-The MPA or SPA is full.
-Someone else has already called that npc.

We both registered as npc partner.
She got hte english patch I play clean.
I checked and I do see my card.

I sent her friend request and she accepted, she appears in my friend list but I never got a friend request from her assuming a request by 1 side is enough (usually it is).

You might want to check the 2nd tab When you go to partner list. It'll be friends. If it's still not there check your friend request and make sure both of you are consider online/offline.

Sorry, My reading level today has died off. Also I would also suggest checking to see if she sees your card. I'm not sure if it's a case where both of you don't have a card, or if it's just you.

Is it possible you need to do Jean's CO?

He teaches you about NPC partner. Also.. i presume you made the first Afin CO Subdue Fangulf?

Afin must not b the problem but Jean is a good possibility!

Ye well no it won't work. Jean asks you to use it so ... that means you can use it.

Edit : I recall having a char who hasn't made those quest, i'm gonna test around.
Edit² : Complete new char, level2 no quest only prologue. I can take my main as a friend partner, i have no clue here sorry.
3 : Main can also take the new char as a friend partner.

Well I could screen shot my friend list but my friend isn't going to b on for a while (holiday's over -.-) so this is a bit problematic to get her screenies.

Ya cause your situation seems really...strange.
Most likely on her end she forgot to hit accept in order to save the friend partner...but I'm guessing cause that's what it sounds like...

Ok so here's what I understand from this:
1) you checked your card
so you went to the visiphone (purple hologram terminal), went down to friend partner button and selected "check friend partner" (2nd option) and saw you had one.
2) she doesn't see it even though you have it? And she is in your FL...
SYNTAX ERROR: DIVIDED BY ZERO.
Ok so I'm seriously going to run with the theory that you both think you registered friend partners but forgot to hit the "accept" button...which is not that hard to not do...

I think my reply on the first page holds true.

Go to the visiphone, second option, hit the button at the bottom.

Edit: if you hit the second option, it will bring up a window that shows your character if you registered. If it's blank, that means you didn't register and in most likely case, your friend did the same.

If an npc is under level for the area. It doesn't prevent you from calling them. It prevents you from starting another mission with them in your party.

There is 1 thing that caught my eyes.

Is there a separate option for friends and friend partner?

Cause I do see my card and my friend is on my list >.<;' and she does see her card.
when we hit the check on the visiphone the card is there but on the ship the partner tab is empty

I will do some more checks with my friend after the updates are finished.

Ok the only thing that proves is that the friend partner is created and saved.
If you are both friends( one accepted the invite from the other) then you should be perfectly fine. While on the campship go to the partner terminal. At this point one of you should see something.
I'll post more pictures later to help.
