The overused, but sometime helpful response, "restart your computer."

tried several times already. tried flushing my dns (ipconfig /flushdns),... tried doing the File Check on the PSO2 Launcher screen..... nothing is helping..... i just got premium last night and i'm getting frustrated that i can't get on!

What's strange about that is it would appear that you're dealing with an outage or IP block, but if your BF is playing on the same connection, that can't be the case.

Try running a windows update and restarting and go from there.

come to think of it a widows update ran earlier today - just to the windows defender.. maybe i'll just try turning it off and seeing if it helps.... thanks

i did a system restore back to a 4-14-2013 and i'm still getting the error. i don't have any software on here that would block an IP that i know of

Who else uses that computer? is it just the sega stuff you can't connect to? Like are you viewing PSOW from that same machine?

If so, make sure windows firewall is shut off.

if not, does the network icon even show its connected to your router?

it seems it's just the pso2 stuff, i can connect to the pso2.jp website (not same servers i know). i'm accessing these forums from the same laptop. we're both using the same wireless, but we have been since we started playing and this is the first issue we've had. he's still playing. he's not going to log off until the update happens tonight in case he can't get back on for some reason....

it shows my wireless signal is good... i'm about to maybe go try plugging directly into the router.. i've turned off the firewall and my symantec endpoint protection... but it's always been on this laptop, so i'm not sure why it would start acting up today

the crazy thing is i can get into the screen where i can change to full screen or not, and in the last tab there is a button to test my internet connection and it says it's successful, so i'm at a LOSS!! :(:(:(

Try turning off your anti-virus if you haven't already and see if it would at least load the patcher?

Internet connection is working fine? I usually get the launcher error display when i'm not connected to the internet.

Tried checking event viewer for anything?

This seems really unlikely but has anyone altered your hosts file? Some people mess with that stuff to keep other software from connecting to the internet or block certain connections.

You could try creating a new user and see if the game runs fine that way...at least then you'd know it was something in your settings.

i've also tried re-running the PSO2_SETUP - which was dated 3-28-13 - not that old, and i still get the error above, and the 105 error i was getting before. should i completely uninstall it and run the PSO2_Setup again? i've gone the pso2.jp site and started a fresh download, but it's running insanely slow - 0.8 KB/sec... it'll take weeks at this rate!

Just skip the launcher altogether.
Make a shortcut to pso2.exe and in the properties, put -pso2 at the end of the target field.

Unless you still need to update your client, then I guess you're stuck with what's going on.

just tried the direct shortcut and the little connecting to gameguard thing pops up, but then goes away, and nothing launches. i guess i'm stuck trying to reinstall from scratch....if it ever downloads!
