View Full Version : JP PSO2 Character Creator Templates

As we have wikis (http://wikiwiki.jp/pso2sa/) and databases for Symbol Arts, I'm wondering if there are any websites out there with usable templates for Character Creation.

My personal reason is I'm having trouble getting something I like and would like to see some usable templates that I might be able to use instead.

I have started to notice a lot of Japanese players who seem to have characters that look like NPCs (Patty is very popular it seems :P)

If you're starting a new character, people can upload character data directly so all you have to do is load the file, set your voice and maybe your run if you're a cast and you're set.

I remember when PSO had a whole list of templates This thread has some potential. I remember when I made Tupac in Saints Row 3 now that was impressive. Maybe something similar to that can spring up.

comcast friendly images please

I kind of hesitate to say this, but I might be able to make an image uploader application (an english knock off) on Arks Layer if people think it would help.

Won't work so well if the Japanese portion of the community continue to use PSO2 uploader.

I was kinda curious if something like that didn't exist, like the PSO2SA Wiki with images and downloadable files.

There's a JP site that makes NPC character data templates. I'm pretty certain the Patty and Tia ones came from there.

+^_^+ nice that they have images guides to make them your self, but why not just zip the .fcp file and share that?

More fun to make it yourself, instead of using someone's else's creation~

Oh look another Comcast user.

Yeah, I don't wanna be that guy, but seriously Sizustar and everyone else insistent on using PSO2 uploader still; a good portion of the United States, and therefore English speakers that play this game, are using Comcast for one reason or another. We can use proxies to see those, but its pretty clear why that would get very annoying and old very fast.

So especially in a topic like this, intended only for English speakers in the first place, and therefore likely to affect a number of aforementioned Comcast users, *please* just relink pictures that you've found on the uploader.

Comcast is a big company and sometimes the only company in a lot of areas. They also offer good pricing on solid bandwidth. The only competition they have out here is AT&T which is slower and doesn't offer the same channel packages for TV but costs the same.

Anyway yeah Comcast is heavily used in the US so us poor mainstream consumers who got hit with the IP ban are SOL

Eh, I feel like a plugin could be made to change all pso-uploader images to automatically be changed to use a proxy (presumably of your choosing in the settings).

Kion? You know stuff about making plugins, i bet this'd be cake compared to what you did for the sega page.

Maybe set up a whitelist in the plugin's settings to input what domains to actually enable the auto-proxying on.

SociableTyrannosaur

Yeah I actually was looking for a plug-in to do just this and I couldn't find one.

I would use FoxyProxy for Firefox to connect to the uploader at all instances of the domain pso2-uploader.info, but I don't have any long term proxy to connect to so I quickly tired of getting a proxy for one or two users. (Hint hint, gimmie. )

I do find it a bit annoying that people are well aware of the issue and continue to post images there, but it's just a minor annoyance.

Edit: Looks like it's for Chrome too.

In Chrome, I just use the Hide My Ass! Chrome extension.

Right-click on broken image -> Open image in new tab -> In new tab, click on the shiny little "h" button, and BAM! Instant new tab, using their proxy, where you can actually view the image.

...Though lately, I swear I've been using it more than I usually need to.

Maronji...really. if you need help hiding your ass, it's time to seek professional help.

Also, you can right click and copy image location then tell a site like imgur to get pics from the web. just paste and hit upload. this has the added benefit of being able to be reinserted into these very forums without others needing said proxy.

You can paste multiple image one after the other before hitting upload too, so if someone posts some absurd number of pics you don't have to copy paste upload etc. just upload after you're done pasting and you can get them all at once then just click the tabs to view.

...But help us out, people.

Good to know. Might actually do something with my imgur for once, then.
EDIT: Comcast-friendly images since the beginning of the thread, ho!

http://ameblo.jp/pso2npclife/entry2-11363561227.html

The letters and numbers at the end of the filenames are for the recommended voice and pitch. Example: u07p0 = unique voice 7, pitch 0.

Doesn't something like that exist here?: http://pso2-project.net/
It doesn't look like it's used that much currently, but I uploaded some concept art and character creator files (automatically generates screenshots for these) a few months ago and it worked.

I get an error.

You're referring to the link Taiga linked to, right? I think I have an idea of where you're stuck.

If you found the download link but ran across a text input box that's stopping you, you're supposed to put in a "keyword" that the uploader provides, which will then allow you to download the character template file set.

SPOILER: The keyword is: [SPOILER]npc

Novel, isn't it?

(I can read Katakana, so I can pinpoint the word "keyword" on the page. I've also had to go through Axfc before (I'd prefer you didn't ask why), so I'm familiar with how it works.)[/SPOILER-BOX]

It should be pretty straight-forward from there.

I just clicked on the download button on a random Character Creator file there and Chrome started to fetch me the file. Can you elaborate on the error you were getting?

If you didn't already see it, I put the images up on my imgur, like, 8 posts ago (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2963428&postcount=27) and will be doing this from now on (unless someone beats me to it).

The funny thing is that it only took about a minute or two to copy all the image URLs, paste them into a text box, and wait for imgur to copy them into my account.

So, really, there's hardly an excuse not to post Comcast-friendly images (at least alongside the original images).

When I click on the like. I go to a white page that just says, "Error...".

I downloaded them, unfortunately Explorer and Winrar just decode the filenames inside as gibberish so I've no idea what is what. I have a feeling I need to update winrar sometime :P
