View Full Version : Which would you prefer "sooner/now"?

Not my traditional multi-choice, but a bit simpler poll about which would you want to see sooner?

Minigame like content
- hoverboard stuff and other "lifestyle" things (Thinking like Mabinogi...and no This is not about more clothing/armor that follows the Video Game Developer's Rule of Proportionality of Relative Effectiveness Concerning Armor on Females)
- In short: Stuff that doesn't involve grinding and killing stuff repetitively and more recreational content (that doesn't involve disco rave party that can just go afk in the lobby).

Combat/Quest Content
- What everybody has been asking for: More "Endgame" Quests and TACOs and things that involve killing stuff...with fire. Oh and let's throw in rebalancing and new weapons also.

The Phashion stuff
- More of the purty costumes (where is the badass stuff for guys, eh?)

A combination thereof
- 'Nuff Said.

Combat/gameplay of course.

Minigames and that other shit can come later, make what actually matters better first.

That's a hard one...

I just want guys/casts to actually get shit appearance wise. and a lot of monsters to fight. >_>;;

Also all we get is outfits/hair that'll also look simultaneously look cute on girls and long coats/dante coats. Cut that shit out.

Fashion shouldn't even be up there. They're constantly making new costumes because that's where most of their revenue comes from, and even if they stopped for a while the artists wouldn't suddenly start developing other content. They can't (neither are they expected to) do that.

The amount of costumes is one thing.

Who they're for and actual designs is another. >_>;

But yeah gameplay > extras > fashion.

I put it there just to see how many ppl would (for some strange reason) want it to continue that way...

Anyway let me throw my original opinion out to the wind: I sorta want something to distract me from the grinding that doesn't involve going afk in the lobby on dance modo...
I recall seeing they had racing hoverboards in PSU so I was thinking: "that'd be a fun..."
And yea, the combat needs work and all...I just want to be able to go elsewhere to sorta "cool down" from constant trash mob killing (I hate trash mobs...I like the bosses now cause I finally figured out how to use HU effectively.)

Combat/Gameplay balancing comes first.

Would be fun to have extra activities though. Like instead of FUN scratchers you could go to an arcade and spend FUN points to play mini games to get FUN items or whatever. Kinda redundant sounding, but I personally think it would be more fun and immersive.

I mean, they do have those extra rooms that are tucked away that no one EVER goes into. Makes me wonder if they never had a purpose or if they were put there but never completed.

Combat/Quest content, definitely.

Sure would be nice if PSO2 had minigame variety like Ryu ga Gotoku where you can literally do anything you want from manga reading to snowball fighting, but yeah, if I wanna do stuff like that I'll just play another game.

As for fashion, honestly... I would be fine with them totally neglecting that, if it meant they'd concentrate more on gameplay. I already have so many outfits, anyways, and I don't even wear 80% of them, lol

Give me a Rappy themed amusement park filled with all sorts of mini games and rides after I see a few more additional combat oriented activities like a battlegrounds sort of thing with players vs. clones or even a survival dome where you fight until you can't go on.

I actually had a thought about that Trailer that showed two parties facing Falz Hunar.

It was: "I bet if that snowboarding/sliding on your feet in a snowboarding style scene was playable it would have the shittiest controls ever"

Because that's how a lot of games tend to be when they have a simple minigame they just wanna toss in with no real effort. I mean, if they made it well, and I mean like 1080 for N64 level gameplay. Then heck yeah, I'd play it. Another cool thing would be a minigame that led to a combat field. Like the Parkour session in the first trailor that showed the original team running to confront a Dark Ragne. It'd be cool to have a series of ATE Jumps with additional button presses for points, (Sonic Adventure Style) And then land right in the middle of a Dark Ragne quest.

but eh, from a programming standpoint, both of those things would be incredibly annoying to make for three reasons.

1) LOTS of additional poses/motions and most likely map designs that you'd need to get from the art team. We've seen how stingy they are with Lobby Action releases.

2) Coding entirely new states for characters to enter, keeping them from entering them during normal gameplay, keeping THOSE packets from being sent by the server when not called for by certain users. (So as to enable the ever-so-popular player-instigated FSOD we all know and loathe.) Dealing with hitbox errors that LOVE to show up during those times, fine-tuning for player response time.

And finally 3) Getting the moneymen in charge to even fund this much company time to work on it, because let's face it, what I've just detailed is multiple months worth of work that isn't going to new costumes, accessories, or lobby actions.

So yeah, while nice, I don't see those happening, specifically because they weren't in the original release in any way, and it'd cost too much time and money to add them than the people in charge probably want to give.

2 out of 3 aint bad?

Plus it be s much harder to balance then PvE it always is. ANd guess what THEY DONT HAVE THAT REASONABLY BALANCED.

Gunner would own once they got someone air born. Hunters and fighters wouldnt be able to get anywhere near ranged users. And forces and rangers would drop a massacre from affar on top of forces and techers being annoying with their status effects.

The only good thing I see out of a PvP is people actually giving a fuck about defense hahaha.

Personally I don't see why they don't just rip on their other titles and add engine already created in house to them. Sonic all star racing, Sonic shuffle etc etc all sitting right there. Heck they even had "Avater" and "Miis" in the most recent all star racing. Build your own character already in the game. But alas the hell do I know.

Just going to say...

Being able to accept only 20 quests is a joke~
Too lazy to drop the 20 rare monster quests to do quests that I can actually complete. 40 for premium is just as bad~

For the love of Rock's mohawk, can we please get a separate inventory for quest based items? Remember pocket monsters? The backpack you get in that game is more versatile than cutting edge futuristic space backpacks in this game.

Sorry.. i might even send actual suggestion such as this.

honestly though the only reason I play this game is because I want to buy clothes to make my character badass.

even though costumes THEMSELVES are not that big of a deal, your ability to dish out damage / your skills / your attitude are the focus of the game and the clothes you wear accents that to a point where you want clothes that suit your gameplay style or even shape how you're seen.

I'm only a level 30 Hu and my entire existence right now is pretty much devited to getting those shoulders with the cape

Combat/Quest Content first and formost then work on the other crap.

Events - where are the MAX Attacks?

Ultimate Difficulty - been hoping they would add this for awhile

Challenge Mode - pretty much like pso ep1&2 did

Extend Codes - or a way to make all those good looking weapons not sucks so bad

More Classes - protranser please and make traps actually worth using

More Weapon Types - twin sabers, slicers, lazer cannons idk

More Balancing - im looking at Gunner mostly (but TE and FI too) and stop it with the fury stance ratk

Fix Grinding - not saying it should be easy just back it off a bit with the RNG

Weapon Potential - it should be on weapons to begin and then we can upgrade them

Increase Drop Rate - so people can actually hunt items like you could in other PS games

Beasts - nano blasts or suv will never happen but still

Better Looking Knuckles - and stop it with the holding them with an open hand (Sega doesnt know how to make a fist)

Better Looking Outfits - for males seriously something more badass please

Male Long Hair - only 1 in this game doesn't look feminine

Mini Games
Casino - I loved it in PSU
Soccer Lobby - yep
Card Game - PSO Episode III Card game would be great but even a small card game like FFVIII had.

But this whole list is just wishful thinking.

I like the idea of casino and arcade.

call it the GameHall: they could put old pso style minigames in the arcade. fight through an old psII or psIII dungeon for exp boosts! Play Photon Chair racing or soccer for drop rate boosts! team games where winning team all gets goodies!)

also, As much as I would love more monsters/levels/places to kill with fire, I definitely think actual large events would be awesome. 2 week long or month long events, with the massive kill quotas (if we get 5 mil you all get golf clubs!!!)
