Updating PSO2

I have just installed pso2 and am trying to play and it says that it has to download an update of 7gb??? is this normal? or did i break the game by trying to patch the english files. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

fresh installation requires an update of around 7GB

ok and then after that its not that much right? and i should install the english patch files before or after that update?

The patch should always be applied after the update. If done before you'll likely need to redownload the necessary files through update.

ok thanks for the help... and now im sitting here its installing the files but tis been at 0% for like five minutes lol... but hdd is active so it might just be lag?

There's like a download for the full game somewhere. Might have to google for it.
