Does anyone know what Luck does for you?

Ok, I'm sure I'm the only one who doesn't know this, and everyone will laugh at me and make me cry. I'll just have to brace myself for all the awful criticism I'll receive. Alright, here we go....::deep breath::...what does the Luck attribute do for you? I have some ideas but I'm just not sure. I'ts killing me! I must know! I find Luck Material all the time and my brother, who also plays the game, gets so angry saying how lucky I am. But what good is it?!

I think it increases your chance of a critical hit. Some people believe that it helps you find better items, but I think the critical hit thing sounds more likely

Luck defeniately plays a role in critical hit determination. A critical hit has a visible and audible graphical difference from a normal hit, (and it does more damage too!). Monsters can score critical hits on players too (usually knocks you too the floor instantly).

Luck Material are the most useful material in the game, because the are the only method of increasing your Luck score. There is a noticeable difference in the number of critical hits you will have with a 50 Luck, as oposed to a 20 Luck.

You can increase luck with slot items too. I currently have a god/luck that boosts my luck by 10

Some weapons increase your luck also.

Really, there are ???/luck units? Never seen them...

The */Luck units are in the PSO Perfect guide so they're definitly real. Pretty useless though because the */Ability units raise your luck more (plus most other stats, heh).

yup luck has nothing to do with finding rares. if it did i would be set but alas, thats not true. luck ups your critical hit chance, and i have some mechguns that increase my luck by 5 or so.
