Not sure if there's a topic up on this yet, but I've just read that Sony slipped in a subtle but significant change into the PSN's T&C on the backs of their successful E3 showing - we're going to have to pay for the privilege of playing on the PSN soon.

The big question of course is, how is this going to affect PSO 2 on the Vita? If it's not retroactive and only newer games are going to be affected, then there's no issue... yet. If it is going to affect games across the board, then PSO 2 Vita suddenly becomes a US$50 annual subscription game.

Anyone have better and more accurate news as yet? It'll be good to get a civil discussion going as soon as possible.

That's only for PS4 games.

The announcement was for letting developers decide on how to deal with used games. In most cases online passes for multiplayer (Uncharted for example) will most likely continue to be that way.

That's how they worded it and has so far made no mention about making any payments for PSN use.

They also announced that free-to-play titles would stay free-to-play.
