I don't know how many of you read this but this article got me thinking about why PSO2 is taking so long to reach US shores.

I was looking up any info about a possible skies of arcadia HD for the PSN and I came across this.

For those of you who don't feel like reading, In a nutshell the article talked about the president of sega personally replying back to a japanese fan and say that they had no plans to release a skies of arcadia 2 because, basically their game division sucks and he was honestly suprised when valkyria chronicles did as well as it did.

This is pure speculation but it got me thinking, Maybe the reason it's taking so long is simply because sega doesn't want to fuck it up like they did with PSU. Now I could be COMPLETELY wrong about this. But If the CEO of a company thinks your bad I don't think they can afford to screw up this time, if they do they won't be able to publish any games outside of japan anymore.

That's just my thoughts on it. Hope it comes soon

PSO2 already doesn't hold up to other Phantasy Star games in my opinion, and Sega America can only make it worse.

They probably don't want to release this one to western audiences because it will only hurt the Phantasy Star franchise, and make them lose fans.

Sega of America had reservations on the sega saturn. Sega of America also grew a 50 million profit unit to 1.5 billion dollar profit unit.
Sega of America had input on the Dreamcast design (The best Sega console)

So I won't just go out and say Sega of America is shit. They are hamstrung by Sega of Japan who had the presence of mind to laugh Sony out of the room and then made Sony break them. :P

For it to be ready for the western release it needs these things:

1. Order levels according to boss difficulty, so forest is first, desert second, then tunnels, ruins, tundra, floating island, volcano, and sanctum in that order.

2. Guwanahda needs to have little spawns around and pop up more often.

3. Talent tree changes, all masteries are equally distance from each other so no out of reach ice mastery 2 because of filler.

4. Dudu needs to be kept, but tweak the chances. Not fail too much, but still fail enough to make 10* expensive, just less than now.

5. Limits on how big a nose can be or how small eyes can be, let Joseph stay unique looking! In west PSO everyone will have tiny eyes, big noses, and funny faces because western doesn't typically transition well into anime styles.

It is near the end and funny but the western transitioned well in this cartoon but is usually more exaggerated.

6. Two wolgahdas fight in very hard and above, double the loot and both attack at the same time so much dodge at once.

Except they own Three Rings Design, which made spiral knights, the sucessful F2P MMO on Steam.
