Vita and EP 2 8 gb memory card

No matter what I do my newly install PSO2 turns out to be 5gb4 and left me with 2gb1 free of space
The EP 2 update is 2gb3 ............................................ What to do now

I don't see how that makes sense when the updates are saved mainly to the memory card.
