Anyway, I managed to get trough the first chapter mission.
My next mission on the matter board is to collect a certain item dropped bu Diggs lvl 9+
I'm doing over and over missions at the caves, arresting the Catedra, however nothing seems to drop off.
I already spoke to the little girl I rescued over and over.
Is there a cut scene I need to watch?

I think we're fairly certain that it's Matter.

Fixed. There isn't a single matter in the entire game that requires enemies of base level 9+, if I remember correctly.

Is there a cut scene I need to watch?
Post a screenshot of what your Matter Board looks like, and put the cursor over the matter you're trying to do (you'll need the interface enabled for screenshots in-game or use another method (like Alt+Print Screen) to take screenshots). We should be able to identify the problem from there.

you have to actually select the matter in the matter board menu to change your matter board

you cannot find any matter board items if you're not on the proper matter board

PS: This was done back July 2012.
Now it is 90 times easier, (Monster LV are lower as well) and a lot of the retrieve items from monsters are only a few kills.
Back then it was very much you need to go to a desired block and search for it.
