Obviously if it made it past being a public, safe release.

First thing I'd do is learn how to backwards speed dash and what its like to run into the infamous invisible clipping walls.

Why not just settle with Oculus Rift II?

You think I'd put on a nerve gear to experience cheap flinch combo deaths?

Syklo

Assuming any game using nervegear or similar will have simulated reality-physics, then I'd probably pick a different game.....probably.

Just as long as I can parkour like in the opening PC movie, and more.
Oh and if I see no good prospects in the future.

Basing on what I've seen on .//Hack series and Ugh... *holds vomit* SAO, risking my real death in real life with just death in-game... nope... xD It WILL be fun to be like your own character moving and attacking or acting like your own character as well but still... Risk real life for in-game death errm... nah... I'll pass... xD

And no, no I wouldn't not PSO2. Assuming you just mean full immersion in general and not the fictional nerve gear specifically. If the latter then I wouldn't want the damn thing anywhere near my head.

it seriously goes against like 99% of our 50,000 year evolved instincts to have something obstruct our view like a blindfold and even TV visors, it causes a subconscious panic response within our psyche and induces unwarranted stress, this is why these kind of devices have never really become mainstream and little more then curious pieces of tech that people play with for a moment+^_^+ I'll stick to my 32" kay thx bye+^_^+

What I WOULD PREFER is a device that acts as an unintrusive augmentation to lucid dreaming.
So like, enabling everyone to lucid dream, but at the same time, connect to each other pseudo-telepathically...so a D.N. rpg? (Dream network).

Risk real life eh...
Well, it's not like I'm interested in anything from real life, so dying in a game would be so much like myself...
I wouldn't regret a thing.

HELL FUCKING NO! I mean it would be fun but... HELL NO!

And that's not even the biggest problem. How do you stop people from doing violence stuff to other people in game? Like, because it's a GAME some will take that to head and do nasty things like _______ with a high chance of getting away with it. Unless there's some type of system that can monitor everything at all times the game world would be hella worst than the real world. might as well name the game Armageddon or Hell in Game. Seems like an easy way to take control of human beings too.

I guess if it were a Arcade kind of thing maybe but truth be told I think we need a healthy level of disconnect if not .hack// would be are best case scenario the worst being like the Matrix.

Have we ever stopped and asked are selves "has technology come to far to fast?"
I mean do we need motion control, voice commands, and HD graphics for the same stuff we were doing at 128-bit 2 generation ago? Also do we need to pay $60-$80 for one game? I think not.
That just me tho.

In terms of content were still doing the same $@%& we were doing on the doing on the Playstation 2, Classic XBox, Game Cube, and Dreamcast. And It seems like the people expect us to shell out more money for the same.
Killing Demonic Zombie Monster Aliens and those pesky Reds and/or Blues.

Idk, I just the focus is off. The tech we have now is more then good enough for Phantasy Star or any other game out there we just need it to be cheeper.

The tech we have now is more then good enough for Phantasy Star or any other game out there we just need it to be cheeper.Games cost more money to buy because they cost more money to make now. It's not the tech alone that's expensive though, it starts costing more as graphic artists have to be more detailed, and music composers have make more complex songs. Game's aren't getting more expensive arbitrarily, many of them have to be to make up for the production costs. This is partly why indy games are so much cheaper, they have much lower production costs than AAA games generally do.

and this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantasy_Star_(video_game)

In the United States, Phantasy Star sold for the then-high price of $69.99, with some retail outlets such as Toys R Us selling for as much as $80.00. Although some home computer games had been known to sell for $100 or more, such as 1982's Time Zone, Phantasy Star was the most expensive console game ever sold at the time. When the Sega Master System received a price drop in the form of the Master System II hardware, the game was only $10 less than the console itself.(this price isn't even adjusted for inflation)

I get your arguments.
I really do.
But where I'm coming from is one of the grimmest horror stories of the industry. Where Millions of unsold copies of (a game that shell not be named) buried in a Landfill in Alamogordo, New Mexico because of its poor design and a Flooded console market.
I'd just hate to see that happen again because of the prices of the technology and Publishing.
*lowers head for a moment of silents.*

No, you don't get my point.

My point is that 60 dollars is way goddamn cheap compared to what games used to cost.

http://www.dollartimes.com/calculators/inflation.htm

Here's one example

$60.00 in 2013 had the same buying power as $28.56 in 1986.
Annual inflation over this period was 2.79%.

How many blockbuster titles were going for 30 bucks or less back then? Right.
